Had a similar situation after the little one misplaced her band. Tried to find it with the Mi fit app and we could feel the thing vibrating but because she had customised the vibrations we couldn't locate it. I then got her another one, then subsequently found the old one in between the seats on the couch, 3 months later, still with 60% battery (annoyed)
Just to be clear, I was referring to the Honor band 5, not this one (the previous generation Huawei band was very similar to the Honor, as it is the parent company), but they have changed the design quite a bit for this one and so not sure how it will fit a child. Looking back, my reply was more in context of following @samatshu who replied to you suggesting the Xiaomi band (but I think the Honor I mentioned is better, personally). Sorry for any confusion.
Thanks she’s just turned 9 and has wanted something like this for a while
At this this price point, you may well want/expect a built in GPS, and this doesn't have it... To me, either go for a mi band 6 and save a bit or spend a little more and get a watch with GPS.
Perhaps that explains the lack of success. It's a shame, it's a good concept.
I must admit I prefer the look of my GT2 Pro with grey leather strap (that also has sapphire glass and made of titanium). This seems to look more like the normal GT2 with bevelled edges. I got mine for £129.99 and it came with some FreeBuds which I sold on Ebay for £50 so it worked out more like £180.
I actually had the Sony strap following techmoans review. It was quite limited and nowhere near the functionality of a smart watch. That’s why I sold it on within a couple of weeks…
That's insane! So an extra 400 for the titanium strap, a revised bezel with the words porsche design printed on it, and some software tweaks for a different (and boring) watch face Think I'll stick with my standard gt2 pro, thanks
£118 On Amazon without free gifts. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07XH9KHLR?tag=georiot-trd-21&th=1&psc=1&ascsubtag=trd-gb-6772989040518967000-21&geniuslink=true
This a good watch but Huawei are cheeky with their marketing strategy. They add other stuff and keep the price almost the same saying you've saved £x. Good price for this one is if the watch goes below 100 on its own.
Find a better deal then!
This was £110 with a free speaker 2 days ago. The scales can be had for under £30 so not a deal for me I'm afraid.
Strange. I have a Huawei phone and the health app. Looked under devices then watch faces. 9 pre installed but all others have a cost. under the free tab it says no results. Where are your free ones found
I have a lot more than 9 free watch faces to choose from with this fitness band. Maybe the app needs updated?
Question for anyone who has this. Want to change the watch face but only 9 are free. Is that correct? My wifes amazfit has loads of free ones.
If an Android device, the current installed version of Huawei Health (Me/About) should be 126.96.36.1995 and the currant Band 6 Firmware (Devices/<select Band6>/Firmware update) should be 188.8.131.52
Ordered two of these smart watches fir myself & my husband. They were delivered yesterday and so far I am really impressed with it. The only thing I can’t get it to do is record my heart rate in the app. I got one tracker with the scales and one with a speaker. The scales can be added to the same app.
Very poor "smart"watch. I bought mine for the same price from Amazon Germany but sent it back. SMS notifications are very hit & miss, other notifications are generally ok but the alarm stopped working and then started again and the exercise tracking is very poor. I've replaced it with an amazfit GTS 2e and it is head and shoulders above the Huawei watch. It's a shame because I loved the look of the Huawei but it was almost useless!
No and no.
Is this much of an upgrade from a Huawei gt active?
Does this have the ability to take the call and speak through the watch, and can ypu load apps on to it?
Will this track my indoor pool swimming if there's no GPS signal inside the leisure centre? Will it sync with Strava?
The GT2e maybe is more pants then. Or maybe just my routine. If I lay in bed watching TV it just assumes I was sleeping most of the time. I once had a drinking sesh In bed watching movies etc. Got 5hr sleep at it came up with 7hr sleep. (confused) If I ever snooze on sofa it has never realised it either. (confused) so yes it does seem more bad. It is dam good at other stuff mind you, it even know what strokes you do when swimming.
Really? I have the GT2 and I think the sleep monitoring is probably the best thing about the watch - as in its so accurately amazing at knowing the exact minute I fall asleep, when I wake....it knows the difference between when I have a snooze on the sofa or when I'm just laid still watching a movie! I can't fault my watch I love it! Unless the GT2e isn't so accurate as the GT2 I dunno?
Anyone got the watch mine both orders cancelled without email
Yes mine was cancelled as well. they have delivered part of my order without the watch. No cancellation email and now when I want to return it they won't refund postage cost as part of the order was delivered (unfortunately the part which I don't need). A bit disappointed lost the postage cost plus hassle for returning the item.... Lesson learned - buy from amazon or someone with good customer support.
Doesn't support many really useful apps simple as that. Look at the dismal app support > https://consumer.huawei.com/uk/community/details/-Huawei-Watch-GT2-Pro-The-NEW-Apps-Updated-14-01-/topicId_38293/
Ok.. what are the reasons you are not calling this as a smart watch please..? Just curious to know..
anyone else's order been cancelled? havent received an email, just saw it in my account.
Anyone got any watch delivered my both orders cancelled
hi guys, has anyone bought from Jacamo before, I want to buy this watch but keep reading bad reviews about their customer service. or even with customers paying for something, then receiving an email to say their order has been cancelled but not getting a refund until they chased customer services for over a week. Just need someone to give me a big hug and tell me everything will be all right (and these guys won't just take me money without sending the goods :D
It’s probably the screen totally off that I read about.. My old Apple Watch doesn’t always respond accurately to wrist flick either. Maybe they’ve improved that since series 3.
Always on light? - didn’t see an option to have it turn off at night. You can have screen turn totally off - flick or push button to wake - but that annoyed me when the flick didn’t always works.. Screen and faces are very nice - guess I’m just more used/prefer pebble always on Type of screens.
I read the GT 2 you can turn this off.. are you sure it’s not possible on this version? I’m liking this watch purely on the faces and for playing music on the speaker (I use Apple Watch this way when going off to sleep) would you recommend?
