Good preorder price. Reduced further £1 making it £36.99 with c&c. Charge into battle with Hyrule's mightiest legends in Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, exclusively for… Read more

Couldn't wait in the end! Even though the cartridge is on order, it's won't get here til next week, so I got impatient and downloaded it anyway! (Am keeping the cartridge though when it comes). I like to have the official physical stuff as collectibles for zelda stuff, even though technically the cartridge is totally useless to me now. But man, this is such a good game!

Got charged £37.99 so they clearly don’t adjust the price if it falls, which is quite cheeky.

The Wii U version of this ran at 720p/30fps, this version runs at 1080p/60fps in docked mode (720/30 in handheld). It'll be clearer in motion and more responsive due to the higher framerate, and with this type of game that's a big advantage. I already have the Wii U and N3DS versions, but that fact alone means I'll be re-buying. Plus it has the extensive updates and DLC from the previous versions included, which is nice.

Yeah that's pretty much how I see it aswell. (they definitely made a way better effort than what ubisoft did with the so called definitive edition of Rayman). Again, was another great game, so I'm ot knocking it, but the switch version of rayman just didn't feel like they'd done anything much to it at all. Whereas for Hyrule Warriors, it already seems better even just from what I've seen in the trailers. (...Though perhaps I'm just biased because it's Zelda). Thanks for the really nice comments aswell though! (I'm so excited myself even just thinking about this game, that the feeling must be coming out in my writing!) But glad it's rubbing off on you! Anyways, not long now though until it's finally here!

Your welcome! I can see your logic on the difference between ports and remasters though, That said, when you consider that most switch games are between 50-70 bucks though (especially for premium franchises like Zelda, Mario, Kirby, etc., and also most things on the eShop for even many of the lesser popular games), I'm certainly not going to complain at games being closer to the 30 bucks mark. I personally think it's a rip off for any game to be 70 bucks anyway, and was horrified when that started happening. So I'm with you on voting with your wallet to try and stop that becoming the norm and I deliberately avoid the games priced at silly amounts like the 50-70 bucks mark wherever possible, specifically for that reason. I think around the 30 bucks mark is much more reasonable amount for games though generally (40 bucks tops for the higher end games) . So I strongly want to encourage that whenever I see switch games priced within that range. On ports, I also agree that they should be less than premium prices. So even 30 bucks would be too high for older games like NES and SNES titles, etc. (for those I'd say 5-15 bucks, tops). But this Hyrule Warriors port is in a completely different league in my opinion. Even the WiiU version of Hyrule Warriors was an excellent caliber game. (it's not even that old, and I'm pretty sure I paid more than this on the WIiU version, even without counting any of the DLC) There was absolutely tonnes of content even before any of the the DLC was added to it. (hundreds of hours without even scratching the surface). So the Switch version having all that already included, plus a bunch of extra stuff added, I'm not sad at all for what they are charging! It's incredibly fun to play, and even the original was graphically beautiful. So even if the graphics haven't been changed at all, no complaints from me whatsoever on this game. I'm really happy for what I'm actually getting. (I had secretly wished they would add the 3DS functionality as an update to the WiiU version back when the 3DS version came out anyway, which sadly, they never did). So to see they have thought of that for the Switch version, I was already sold on that alone! Being a Zelda game aswell (and also one of the better ones), I don't even have to think twice for this one. It's one of those games that once you start playing it, it's so addictive that it's very hard to put it down. I think this is going to be another year where I don't get much sleeping done, that's for sure!

Cool! I wish I had seen this deal before ordering mine. I've seen the triforce light version before, and wasn't that impressed with it, but I quite like this rupee one. How is this one peowered btw? (is it abatteries or mains operated?)

It's the wii u and 3ds with all dlc for both joined into one game. In my opinion it's really worth the price.

Is this a complete new game, or another WiiU game released on the Switch at an extortionate price with an extra map or a couple of new characters?

Had the triforce light which was very weak also so will steer clear of this one too

Yes I made the foolish assumption I’d actually get my product ^_^

£12 trade in at CEX, £10 at GAME. If someone buys it and decides they don't like it, they won't lose out too much. I just traded my copy in a few days ago. I had a lot of fun, but I've been a fan of the Warriors series for quite a while, so I'm biased.

Smyths online stock checker currently shows stock at: Edinburgh, Grimsby, Rayleigh Weir, Rotherham and Salisbury.

It means currently out of stock in that branch. Any stock for future dates is unconfirmed, hence 'to be confirmed'.

When I search a couple Northern Ireland stores it says- Estimated In Stock: TBC 2017 Does that mean there's no stock? Confused oO

Finally I agree with Spasho on something. This game would embarrass the 2DS. HEAT for OP, nice one.

It'd be exactly the same as the Original 3DS version as 3D is disabled for this game on all original 3DS models. The only real differences between an original 3DS and 2DS is a 3D top screen and stereo speakers. For a comparison between the old models and new models check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2J98CvVau4

I'd like to see it running on a 2DS just for how cringeworthy it'd be.

Lol I've seen so many post's for this one posted one about a week ago myself, The price on this one keeps jumping around like crazy.

Lol 2ds? Will be a stutter fest even runs like crap on the old 3ds. New 3ds or it will give you a headache

its more 3ds to new 3ds that concerns people. Agree with whoever said it should have been a new 3ds title only. Not to be elitist but it saves any probs straight off the bat. And god knows they need to work on more than 1 new 3ds title. Just xenoblade chronicles 3d is nuts at this stage.

They should've just made it a New 3DS exclusive 'cause there'll definitely be people complaining that it's running slow on their 3DS and whatnot.

Well, yeah you should because of Cia's melons: EDIT: The 'L' was lust. "Let me get a good lusting". No kidding. They don't go that far. :p

There is now a demo available on the eShop for this. It runs great on the "New" 3DS and the 3D effect is perfect. The graphics are nowhere near as bad as YouTube footage makes them look. Also, they've just announced continual DLC for this a la what the Wii U edition saw.

£24.99 at Base @ http://www.base.com/buy/product/hyrule-warriors-nintendo-3ds/dgc-hywar3ds.htm It is. On the Old 3DS the game doesn't even allow to turn on 3D and if that wasn't bad enough the framerate drops to as low as 15fps. Get ready for Amazon reviewers saying "The game is great but it runs really slow on my 3DS and I don't know why! - 3 out of 5 stars".

Someone posted in another 3ds game post a link to the 3ds/new 3ds comparison re slowdown pretty interesting.

Played through the Japanese version of this, it's pretty fun :) Good price for a new release.

Wii U's situation has been pretty bad and this year without Zelda it won't be any better either. It's pretty much a console for the Nintendo fans and only, it sadly doesn't cater to any other gamers. Then again, the 3DS has a much better library than the Wii U for Nintendo fans but it's not in HD.

Also £31.99 on game for those who have credit. Unfortunately, I've been stuck with £140 credit for ages, it's painful trying to find games on their website at a decent price. After seeing this and watching a few videos i'm not 100% sure i'll like it, if I do great, if I don't...well that's the beauty of Nintendo games, I shouldn't lose too much. Better buying this for £31.99 that BF:HL for £44.99 then feeling sick when I see it on promo at another online retailer for £25 a week later.

Is this a good game for a 7 year old who loves Smash and Zelda games?

Seems like most products with the brand 'Nintendo' have their price either as is or increase even more. A loose cart of Smash 64 goes for £40 or so and it's not really worth that much but it's supply & demand. Smash Wii U and Smash Melee are the two best Smash games out there.

It's developed by Omega Force from Tecmo Koei so it's a third party exclusive. Though, not necessarily a 'true' exclusive as this for example is a rehash job that Omega's already done before but DW and hardcore Zelda fanboys love so there's a market for this kind of game.

It will only last an eternity if the gameplay is up to the player's taste otherwise slashing 100 enemies on every corner gets repetitive pretty quickly.
