Got this on an Amazon deal at £9 or so. Not sure I'd buy it at £15.57, decidedly average.

Saw this at my local too at this price

Really nice tipple at a decent price. If you've not tried a really good Irish whiskey you would be hard pressed to find a better one at this price point.

So tempting, but I also bought 10 bottles of various whiskeys on prime day. I am sure my wife would have something to say. Great find though.

Beautiful whiskey

Agreed, a lovely drop.

Good price if your a couchy! The Old Smoothie. Some Irish can be a bit coarse tbh, but this is smooth in comparison. Notes of malty barley, apple & nutty oak from the barrel. HEAT OP. I got the Caskmates Stout Edition for Father's Day £19 from Amazon. Bit of a sweet taste from the roasted oats of Stout but probably even smoother and lovely with ice & a slice of citrus. In the Old Country they have it in a Hot Toddy with about 200ml boiled water, a sugar cube & a solitary Pepper Clove. A real winter warmer. Just have a Double with more water & sugar for a longer drink Arrived about on FD on Prime Lovely stuff.

It's £18 in Asda if it's any easier. Not a bad whiskey imho. ;)

I prefer it with 2/8 of a lime

Tescos is cheaper than the non prime.

Maybe not the best stuff in the world but works as it should... ;)

Not that price in Scotland.

If you read into it on the ASDA website you can see that the stuff is produced in Scotland in Bellshill.

I'm a Jameson fan but this Whiskey at £10.74 (70 CL) looks a cracking deal, will give it a whirl. :{

Because l assume that liking system is made for community to take the vote whether they like someone's comment or not, by liking your own comment you are just incorrectly influencing that, and you can see hundred of posts where people don't click like on their own posts and that doesn't mean they don't like their own posts, it's just weird that's all love 😘

Why mention it then, sunshine?

I mean it's just a bit odd, it's quite obvious that people don't post something they don't like without liking their own post. It's like liking your own photos or posts on Facebook, it's just weird, but everyone suits themselves I guess.

:D Of course I like my own posts. Don't you like yours? ;(

Are you liking your own posts? (lol) (lol) (lol)

Paddy was always a good dropeen..... Makes a change from Jameson, althought Tully is my fave.

Far from pointless he was a legend ;(

So what you're saying is that the product description is accurate?

Oak (especially American white oak) is far and away the most common type of wood used for making whiskey. However, it is not the only type used. Occasionally, other woods such as maple, hickory, and a host of others are used for aging whiskey. People who suggest that whiskey regulations prohibit the use of other woods are not entirely correct. While specific types of whiskey such as Scotch whisky and American bourbon do have such requirements, there are quite a few similar spirits that do not have such specific requirements. For instance, Canadian whiskey, Irish whiskey, and Japanese whiskey only require that wood barrels are used but don’t specify that oak is the only permissible type. In many cases, whiskey will be aged in casks formerly used for other types of potables, such as port, madeira, or sauternes. In those cases, the restrictions on the type of wood used will be determined by the rules of the original substance occupying the barrel. In the majority of those instances, the original wines (e.g. port, madeira, or sherry) do require oak as the barrel material, but the qualities of the former contents will affect the flavor of the whiskey along with the wood itself.

Wow! Definitely never expected a whiskey of this quality and at this price to be voted cold,

You've different still types for the distillation to making the spirit going into the barrels. Pot stills carry more flavour into the spirit than column stills.

Why is it called Still whisky? I don't know of anyone selling sparking whisky

Wow, thats wayyy outta my price range lol, I'll get a Ryanair flight to Italy and meet you there!!!

I guess a 44p saving is better than a kick in the teeth, but I wont be getting the party poppers out.
