I would rather poke my eyes out than give that greedy tosser any money...
Mr Oliver has hounded the Government for better food in our schools and in general to reduce the unhealthy poor quality food that is idolised by some. But haters gonna hate.
Whatever "lucazades" are.
Helped his wallet too I expect.
Doesn't pay pay what he owes:- git (poo)
Even with an amicable discussion (amazingly nobody has insulted anyone, as is usually the case) the comments made by some people are very loaded and typify what is wrong with the tipping culture. A reasonable argument is spoiled by comments such as: "If you want to be a Scrooge . . . . ", ". . . if you want to be as mean as that. . ." and so on. What you are doing is telling people they are wrong in a round about way and dismissing their opinion according to your own standards. If have become very aware of a backlash against tipping particularly in poor countries, where a single tip can amount to more than a week's wages. This skews the local economy and puts unfair pressure on those who do not do the type of job where tipping is common, and creates a situation where everyone wants to do this type of job rather than do a real job (i.e. a necessary one). Then there is the problem I hear more and more about customers on all-inclusive holidays being snubbed by bar staff who don't hand them a tip on every drink serving despite the fact that no money should be changing hands. In reality, most countries I have visited never initially had a tipping culture but thanks to our friends from the USA, it has been introduced to them, and it goes through the stage of acceptable-encouraged-compulsory-bullying. Despite the best interests of those who say tipping is a personal thing, it just doesn't work like that, and there are enough greedy and hard faced people around who will make people uncomfortable for those who do not hand over extra cash. I appreciate this is a topic about cruises, and that's where the problem lies, because if I am on land and I don't want to tip, then I can go elsewhere, but on a cruise I don't have a choice. Yes, I can opt of of the 'compulsory' tipping if I want, but then we hear of incidents of the list of opt-outers posted on the staff notice board to give a free for all to give problems to those customers. I'm not saying this is the norm, but I really don't want to take the risk that this may happen on my expensive holiday. If the correct price for the trip was charged in the first place, all these problems would go away. As far as I am concerned I cannot be the guardian for the low paid staff. It is 100% the fault of their employers that they are low paid, but tipping gives employers carte blanche to continue the low pay culture . If they do their job well, they will be appreciated verbally, and that should be sufficient. I've even heard of people being expected to tip ship's officers and the captain in these extra charges. No way are they going to be poor.
Bring your own lifeboat.....
Spot on. No way we can change an industry. These workers are virtually always from poor countries and get paid a pittance.75P an hour. If you want to be a Scrooge dont go on Cruises. If you do go, dont treat these unfortunate staff as your skivvies.
Totally agree with you OP, well said.
Stay in Malcesine and you can get the ferries from there to other parts. The lake is a lot larger than you think. Plenty to do from there.
Lake Garda is not expensive to eat out. I've stayed in Malcesine and lunchtime is cheaper than dinner. Wine is very very cheap if you buy some in the local shops , supermarkets. We had a fabulous time.
Just noticed the price has gone up £318 now( probably weekend demand). That said sometimes as they fill more seats on the plane the price increases.
We ate at The Green Frog and a couple of the restaurants either side. Maybe when im comparing prices im comparing them with Spain and Zante which i felt was about 30% cheaper. I did enjoy the Hugo Spritzer not so keen on Aperol Spritzer.
op where did you eat i found it really cheap i ate in most places
No wuntu offer today?
Do you and your friends have 10 phone contracts with Three between you? :/
Ok so I’m a three customer so if I have a movie night with my friends and get 10 pizzas for me and my friends I’m cheating?
It is cheating. It’s being dishonest and ruining it for the honest people Especially when people get 10 pizzas from domino’s.
It’s not a game so no one is cheating. It’s called sharing is caring ;)
Just go to amazon.fr, login with existing Amazon UK account. Purchase handset. If you opt in for prime France for free 30 days, you get further 20% discount on top.
Can't understand how to actually buy this. Unfortunately will have to pass as a result.
Considering its not actually made by Archos I will bite, pretty good specs. Ordered for a 'very good' for £245.
I'm I read somewhere that Oreo had been released.
The link is for a used xbox without the game at higher price that stated in the title... The one with A. Creed is also at a higher price, expired?
Yeep. Agree with you there. No cross platform or anything. Kind of annoying. But there are so many games i want to play thats only on ps4 that xbox seems like eating curry without salt.
Xbox itself isn't garbage but Sony are definitely dominating the exclusive market. Just a shame Sony have been nobs with shareplay. Purely to force people to buy a PS4 to play with PS4 friends/family...
Oh god this is such a good deal. If only xbox wasnt garbage
Saw this but then noticed on UK Site I could get a Like New FIFA 17 version for £126 with discount! Sure FIFA 17 won't sell or will sell for very very little but I'd much rather spend £7 more and get a "like new" over a "good".
I'm sure another will be along shortly :)
Oh no missed it, any other codes about please?
Combine with this for £3 off :) https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/3-cashback-when-you-spend-5-at-topcashback-2971083
Not as good as the £20 offer a month or two ago but still a good deal. Heat!
These are my go too when it comes to valentines, Christmas, anniversary, birthdays (lol)
It's costing us£700+ for 3 Ryan air flights (mad) in August alone!!! Heat .fabulous deal op
Tui or hukd?
This is exactly what it is, clean basic hotel, friendly staff and whack in the middle of the town. Stayed there last year, we had an awesome holiday. Such a beautiful area.
Whatever you do don't hire a car on the Amalfi Coast there is nowhere to park unless you want to spend a lot on parking! (and the roads are generally scary :) ) Buses / Trains / Boats are all good ways to get about though. Rent a scooter if you have a death wish :)
Wow !!! Why is it so cheap x
Yeah i kept trying to use the code but it says its no longer valid. Its probably not gonna work till tomorrow.
Ultra Street Fighter IV code received, but suggested I don’t use until tomorrow when the Collection is officially released. That said, USFIV is completely separate to the main game, so I don’t think there would be any problems.
Nice one. Apparently the codes for those who ordered the digital version will be sent out in “one to two weeks,” so I’m not too concerned. I haven’t actually played Street Fighter III at all, despite owning it on the Dreamcast (I think there’s a Japanese copy in a cupboard somewhere), but I can vouch for Alpha 3!
Yeah i messaged them and they said they’d send it as soon as Capcom have given them the codes since they don’t have it atm. Been playing 3rd strike since i heard that one was pretty good but do you have any recommendations as to which one is the best out of the collection?
I got mine, too. I expect Gaming Express will send the code via email on Tuesday. Maybe. Hopefully! I might email them now...
great spot, Flybe seem to keep school holiday start prices low whereas Easyjet start them at premium prices. You can also travel all over on the train as I went to Venice from Milan without changing.
Hotel D120 on Expedia
Used to go here as a kid back in the 90s, great place. Heat added
Stayed in Jesolo in early 1980s, loved it, tempted to go again. Mind you this time my wife would want to go also ;(
I've stayed in Jesolo a number of times in the 2000s. Great place. Visited more recently and it's modernised quite a bit. Many sea front hotels. The beaches are clean, seas vary between quite rough and calm. The main road, one block back from the beach runs a few km in length with many bars restaurants and shops. It can be quite pricey to stay in the nicer hotels, and not too cheap in the economy ones. This seems a decent deal. You can catch a boat or bus or a bit of both to Venice (one of my favourite places).
I've stayed at this resort very near the end of the season and had a great time at a lovely family run hotel with pool. The restaurants are pretty good something to suit any budget. We hired bikes and wandered all over the place on them as it's very cycle freindly .
Lovely resort but hotel is a no from me unless Harry has refurbished it completely!

*If you are looking to buy online the £10 seats are on NL1; SL1 and SL3A. I've been to The Etihad countless times and there isn't anywhere I've encountered where there is a 'bad' view either
Under 18's showing £20 for me.
I agree it would be great to have the Spanish one on offer

Its not too bad if you don't eat in St Marks square, there are also plenty of take away pasta places that are very reasonable. Also grab some snacks and stuff from the Spar! Dal Moro's Fresh Pasta To Go (just off St Marks) Pasta&Sugo (near Campo San Barnaba, as featured in Indiana Jones) - has happy hour with pasta + prosecco for 5 euros Handy (around the Jewish Ghetto) for Gelato McDonalds also in the north right of the Ghetto... get some fries and a cheap beer :) If you go to Murano there is a tiny little sandwich shop that makes amazing toasted sandwiches, no idea of the name but its at 87 Fondamenta Manin You can buy 1ltr of Moretti Beer from a convenience store near Handy, for 1 euro!! So Venice can be cheap!
prob better to leave milan out & just fly to/from venice - head north & go skiing.
No, the screen shot just didn't upload even though. I've put it on now.
Does this exclude getting home???
Great deal, just remember to budget 1000 euros a day for snacks, lunch / dinner according to the news reports.
It is always free. No deal.

Do you like owls? I know a cracking owl sanctuary
Travelers, gypsy type people, or there are also quite a few from people who get one and have no idea what they're doing, but harm them through ignorance. This is also incidentally where the majority of abused horses come from. Where ever there are people using animals in a role of utility, destitution is never far away.
What is the code please ?
Can mods set link for this please ?
