Absolutely love this game. Easily in my top 10 favourites of all time.

Do you have this on your PC or console?

It's known for being unplayable on the PC version. It runs s l o w.
Easily the best game given away with PS Plus. The story is gash but I'm still dipping into it for pointless havoc-causing months on.

Took the dive on the XL editionIs it worth playing JC and JC2 before this …Took the dive on the XL editionIs it worth playing JC and JC2 before this or just head right in?

I've never played JC1 - by all accounts I heard it was pretty subpar, although it evidently did well enough in sales to justify a sequel! Steam has overall reviews as mixed, and recent reviews as Mostly Positive. However, it is eleven years old now, and it may just feel dated.

JC2, on the other hand.. yeah, I had buckets of fun in that. Managed to 100% it, and Steam reckons I have about 66 hours playtime in it. It's ludicrously fun. However, I doubt you need to play it before this - they're all fairly standalone experiences from what I gather. I do have JC3, I just haven't actually played it yet (too many good games to play already!), but I'm hoping I enjoy it as much.
Love this game.... completed most of it on Xbox
Is it the same price for PS4 as well?

The 2nd one has been free and its been out for a while on the X1. I personally don't buy anything that could be on GWG as I've always paid for Gold anyway and prob will continue to do so. If its a game I'm in no rush to play, then I wait. Some stuff you can predict will become free eventually, any Assassins Creed games, Gears of war, Telltale, Lego, Halo, Dead rising, anything that was free on the 360 that has a remaster on the X1 (excluding collections so no Ezio or Halo MCC)

I thought the performance issues were only on the console versions?

It still has some issues but nothing like as bad as on console. I really enjoyed this game and spent 60 hours in it doing side missions. The main story is short so be sure to ration the main missions and do as many side quests as you can to get maximum enjoyment.

The expansions give you some extra playtime and some cool equipment however I did the expansion quests quite early in the game and regretted it; it made parts of the main game laughably easy.

got this on ps plus while ago, and loved it !!! top game, lots of fun, just blowing stuff up. seems when originally released it had a lot of performance issues , but with all the updates it has had since then, when i finally got it, i didnt see any of those issues at all... fun game...
Great game, got it free with PSN and just bought the add-on DLC for £3.99 in the PS+ sale last week. Kids have been playing it for months - they don't care about a few FPS drop in the busy scenes.

I don't have a PS4 Pro.
I like it when selected individual deals are called out. The point of this site is to make people aware of what are actually good deals, so although I appreciate the effort of making a list, a 2000 degree deal with 1100 items is pretty indiscriminate on what is worthwhile.
LuFc66861 h, 39 m ago

There is a lot this year, 1100 is loads.

Exactly, always have a quick scan and nothin pops out but single posts ching ching im skint haha
Heat for the effort but I already created a list featuring all the sales, I think the majority prefer it this way to keep everything in one place.

BTW - I enjoyed this game at first, but it becomes a bit of a grind, and stutters like crazy when there is a lot going on i.e. explosions, which is the whole point of the game.

Good game but I had to play through horrible huge lag drops

I am running on a not so high end PC for today's standard but when this game came out my PC was up too date (My GPU came out 2015. My CPU came out Mid 2014)

OS: Vista SP2 / Windows 7.1 SP1 / Windows 8.1 (64-bit Operating System Required)
Processor: Intel Core i5-2500k, 3.3GHz / AMD Phenom II X6 1075T 3GHz
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 (2GB) / AMD Radeon HD 7870 (2GB)
Storage: 54 GB available space

My specs
Windows 10 64bit Pro edition
GTX 960 2gb
I5 4460
HyperX Fury 8gb DDR3

Not the best PC but come on I couldn't play on low 720p

Did anyone else notice that at the same time as raising the PSPlus price to £50 a month, Sony is also making the largest company profits they've ever made in history??? I can't understand how they can justify this global price increase - people seriously have no choice but to use PSN if they want to use most of their purchased PS4 games. We are basically paying them to 'own' a game and then being forced to pay them whatever they want to effectively rent it every year just to use it - it's actually completely insane.

It never gets boring with the multiplayer mod because there are endless game modes created by the community eg role playing, factions etc. I've played a fair bit of Just Cause 2's multiplayer and it's truly incredible just flying around with another player
Very excited for this
I'd list this as one of my favourite games of the generation, probably spent more time playing it than anything else on my PS4. Depends what you're looking for in a game, I guess. I do hear the PC version isn't particularly well optimised, though.

Note to anyone that grabbed the other two and their add-ons in a bundle or she or whatever: getting the complete pack is cheaper than this and the expansion triple pack; just £11, IIRC.

The helicopters with rapid fire missiles are where you will notice it the most. It is completely unacceptable for any game to run that badly on a console where they knew ages in advance the hardware they had to work with. The game had a lot of potential, the map is huge, the vehicles and destruction are great and I love the grappling hook for thing people to buildings etc. The car physics is still pants ofc. Overall though, ruined by the frame rate dropping.

Sorry just saw your reply now. I will admit this game's frame rate issue is quite bad. At first the game had issues in terms of sound where people talk over each other and not in sync.

The frame rate is very bad when loads of people shoot at you or when you're in a large base. For example if you're liberating a police station from a distance it's fine (like if you're parachuting in the air) but if you're in the actual police station the game slows down a lot.

At first it's not as bad but it does get worse. However for me I still play it, and it is still playable although annoying. This game is fun at the end of the day and worth the price I paid. The graphics are amazing! The truth is the original PS4 is not powerful enough and it's evident when you hear how loud the fan gets when playing this game. All new games now look and play better on the pro and that's just how it is. I've seen how bad the frame rate issue is but it doesn't make me rage quit the game!

Oh the game is also free for August for PS+ members... But I didn't mind paying for this game. The other thing I'd say about this game which I find a little bit annoying is the pop in and draw distances. Graphically the game looks amazing but sometimes the trees or bases in the distance look too fake until you get closer. Not a big issue though. I guess for people who paid full price for this game on release it would be an issue but for the £20 I paid I thought it's a steal!

Oh I wasn't asking whether the game was fun... I've seen way too many YouTube videos to see how fun it is. It's a game I like, open world like GTA and allows you to do as you please.

I'm more concerned with this frame rate issue. I saw the video on the pro with boost mode with this game and that its "bearable" now. Not having a pro would people say there's no point buying the game?
