Thanks for this, I’d never heard of this guy. Very enjoyable review that has made me want to download it having owned it for months and months now (embarrassed)

Good review to check out

After playing Elder Scrolls games, saving regularly becomes second nature. :D

I stopped playing this a few months ago and picked it up last week. I had absolutely no idea how to fight anymore and got thumped by pretty much everyone. The combat system is quite complicated but very good (lol)

Brilliant game but beware of game breaking bugs and save very regularly

Not even close. You ever play Superman 64 or Ride to Hell: Retribution? This actually functions as a game. I think the premise may have been lost on you however; you start off incapable of combat etc. then earn competency through experience. Only playing for a couple of hours would not convey that.

£24..99 instore at Smyths if you can find a copy.

This is actually a very good and rewarding game. However it is for the tougher old school gamers that dont give up because the game is a bit hard or you actually have to learn how to play the game rather than it just being on easy mode the whole time. It is not really a game for the weak if you where born in the 1990's you should be fine with it. Otherwise get you dad to help you with it at the start it gets easier as you progress.

Im surprised this is still around the £30 mark given its critical reviews and age. If you expect Skyrim, you'll be disappointed. If you expect a simulator of tiresome, difficult existence in medieval times then you will love punishing yourself with this.

Worse than Kick Off Revival? That's superbad in that case!

Not many RPGs grab me but this one did. Lots off issues at the start but I started a few months later with most problems sorted. Loved it. Really made you work for being a mega hard b*****d

I've played it through twice, once on normal mode once on hardcore. Probably sunk 250 hrs into it, brilliant game.

Incredible game, one of the best RPGs I’ve ever played! Great price.

Panned on launch? It had pretty favourable reviews and a great meteoritic average. Now of the best games I've played this year. Well worth £25 to play. You can sink 50-100 hours into this without even really trying.

Personally I wouldn`t use a VPN because I feel GOG earns my support by being DRM free plus they regularly give me freebies in sales and via Connect. That`s just me though.

Even cheaper if you buy via VPN and go via Russia for an extra 50 percent discount , 3 games for around £10

A better deal on GOG at the moment under £20 with 2 other games.

Where to?

I still not tried FH2, got just over a month left of Gamepass so trying State of decay 2 next, just finished Quantum Break. I'm likely to get Gamepass again in Nov/Dec as no doubt they will have an offer again. With my parents they have a set amount they like to spend on each of us and they like us to make a list. So rather than ask for the new game and get less, I tend to ask for the year or 2 old games that have a complete edition like last year was Fallout4 and Skyrim, not sure what to ask for this year tho.

Only played FH2 as that was free, quite looking forward to playing fh4. To many games coming out before Xmas I'm just going to wait untill the new year to get my hands on BFV & RDR2.

Damn missed out on FC5

Graphic is ok to great depending on your rig. On ultra pre set with some mods it can look photorealistic. I struggled to maintain solid fps on gtx 1080 and i7 6700k on high preset. Performance might have been patched, dont know. Vermintide fighting is basically pressing three buttons, in KCD you have multiple ways of holding weapon, fighting is slower and unfortunelty dismemberment and gore is not present in KCD. Maybe there is a patch for it now. KCD is a game where you need to invest lots of time to have a rewarding experience. In vermintide 2 you can feel fulfilled after one quick game.

Sold - take my money now! I know that is a GIF but the graphics look terrible? whats combat like? better than Vermintide 2? Satisfying dismemberment?

That's a bug? sounds like a superpower/feature

Yes, it's true. For me very funny when tatars speaking/swearing in the game as I'm hungarian and understand them:D

Yeah destroying European history, replacing their population with non-European people. Sounds like every Western government we've had the last 50-60 years Anyway you could probably consider the Cumans as 'minority' people.

I know, but they have to represent minorities in all fiction work now, whether this is historically accurate or not. I really wonder if it's been patched for that (lol)

Have all bugs been patched yet? Would love to play it but would prefer a flawless experience. Am I best getting this on a PS4 Pro with 4K Tv or a 1050ti @ 1080p?

I Couldnt disagree more. Kingdom Come is the best game i‘ve played this year. It’s important to understand that the game is a proper RPG. The skills your character have a huge level of importance. The lock picking system is actually pretty easy - once your character has levelled up. It’s the same with archery; a pig to start with, but your character improves with practise. Technically speaking, the game does have some awful performance issues at times. Playing on my PS4 i’ve Experienced some outrageous slowdown. With that said, this is the first title that Warhorse Studios have produced, and its incredible. The scope and vision of this game are wonderful to see. Compared to the soulless rubbish that Ubisoft and activitision crank out each year, games like this are worth their weight in gold. As I said, I adore this game. I bought it at full price, and have played over 100 hours of it. It’s frudstrated the life out of me at times, but the experience has been a great one. I recently bought the DLC and plan to play it very soon. If you’ve got the patience to accept the technical downfalls of the game, i’d Say its an essential must-play title!

On my second play through on Xbox one, and can honestly say I've not enjoyed a game this much for a long time. It's not perfect and some of the bugs have been frustrating, but I've had one crash since I've started my second play through 2 weeks ago and pop up is very noticeable especially around Rattay but I just love the combat and setting. I think £30 is a fair price, but there are still bugs to be ironed out.

btw it's currently reduced to around £16.70 on Argentinian store if you have Gold in tow.

I agree. Great game

I love this game. A lot of the bugs have been worked out since release. It’s difficult to start with but once you get the hang of it, it’s great and they’ve added a bit to make lockpicking much easier too. Could be a marmite game though. You love it or hate it.

i think this should be heated, can still get on back order.

Sorry it was my first time posting and I've just ordered one it was in stock then I guess they didn't have many in stock sorry. How do I take it down

I don't know whether that would be a good deal or not, but I do know that it's currently showing as out of stock on XBoxOne... and it's £39.85 on PS4. I noticed this is the first deal you've posted so I hope other members are kind and don't post comments that would put you off posting any future deals you find, but it is worth double checking everything before posting though. Have a great day!

I played on a bog standard PS4, a few years old. Frame rate was fine for me 90% of the time. It was god awful for just one mission in particular - a large scale battle. Haven’t played that bit in months, so hopefully it’s been patched by now.

Sorry to quote a fairly old comment but just asking if you played this with a regular PS4? And how is the frame rate?

Great game. Currently 75 hours in and still going. Save issues and bugs have been an issue on PS4, but nothing that’s spoiled my experience. Well worth buying!

Great game, and this is a fantastic deal, the game isn't for everybody though, if you are a very casual gamer, or you need big guns and huge explosions everywhere, this probably isn't for you. On a side note, to make the game even better there are some fantastic mods on NexusMods to extend the game further.

He only complains about hunger when it's less than 50 percent. I actually never went hungry until I realised there was an achievement for starving yourself, seemed pretty difficult to actually starve. If anything I kept getting the overstuffed debuff because every time you drink or take a potion, it also adds to your nourishment level. The game was very buggy when it was released, but so are most Bethesda games, and this game was done by a tiny studio on a fraction of the budget. I would say they probably bit off more than they can chew. Despite that though, I found myself really enjoying this. The combat can feel clunky at first, but once you get used to it, it's quite rewarding. There are a few dull quests, but I found myself enjoying the main story quite a lot. Also, Brian Blessed is in the game, how cool is that?

It's a great game and a steal at this price.

As other have also pointed out I was never attacking you, just calling out your false information.

What is definitely wrong about the hunger mechanic is that Henry starts worrying about "needing a bite to eat" literally as soon as a tiny slither of yellow appears on the hunger circle. He could atleast wait until it's 50-70%. It's a rubbish, buggy, cumbersome, glitchy, unoptimised mess of a game with little to no fun at all with boring quests and some that glitch out and completely break the game, and people who spent 40 quid on it clearly try and defend it to make themselves feel better about losing their money.

On the good old Zx spectrum it was indeed !! In general KCD lacks any real substance , but the did release at a great time , when new releases where thin on the ground ...which left the door open for lots of sales....I tend to like big open world adventure games...but the game just did not seem to gain any traction with me.

Pedro was a terrible game

Do you think this is the place to spew your ideals? Surely you've said your piece. If I was to believe the throw away comments on Twitter at face value or pieces written on Kotaku I would have to question my life choices.

Haha wow how old are you? Did you not see Daniel Vávra's Twitter? Have you not read his interview with Kotaku? Or looked into papers published by The Journal of Medieval and Early Modern Studies that the reader mentioned? Obvisouly not, you dismiss anything you dont agree with claims of leftism and you disregard anything published by a 'free' newspaper, Have you done any research whatsoever?
