Was tempted by this Abode copy, but the Abode is just much more refined.

popped into the MK store and picked one up, thanks OP. Very nice bit of kit, was going for a cheaper item from screwfix, but this is much nicer for the money!
Can’t find it on the website...is this in store only?
Can get them from toolstation too if needed in a hurry. https://www.toolstation.com/shop/p63663?searchstr=15mm%203/8
Great price for a quality mixer brand. Just make sure you have the right size European connectors.
excellent quality... great price - hot!
cmmon guys, two taps are useless... we are in XXI century :D
Anyone know if an aerator can be added to these?
Me too, but that was a different model to be fair https://www.screwfix.com/p/cooke-lewis-18a-pull-out-spray-mono-mixer-kitchen-tap-chrome/1391t
I bought this last week as deal of the day £35
It its as "good" as their ovens Id avoid it... probably fall apart within a month or splash randomly.
From having a look at the install instructions I believe it is just stated because they don't want to be blamed for any debris getting into the mains system through install rather than the equipment not being capable of it.
No idea why it says that, mines running on mains pressure fine
Just had mine installed today and running on a combi boiler system fed from mains. Looks awesome and very happy with it. Great to have the aerator feature and no more splashes and wet floors.
Have just collected my tap and thought it was odd that on the back it says "WARNING - THIS TAP MUST BE SUPPLIED FROM A STORAGE CISTERN". Does this mean it can't be installed on mains fed system?
Yes, it was a one day deal. Hence it being expired..
Afraid not, but will post back when I do...I'm very lazy! Unless the other half starts nagging it will be a couple of weeks as I'll need to do some homework on how to fit taps as not very DIY inclined, sorry! On appearance though it does look better quality than the Ikea tap it will be replacing that cost twice as much...not sure if that helps!!
Have you installed it yet, any thoughts on quality?
Update: Having just been to pick mine up it's branded up on the box as Cooke & Lewis 'CLAVEY' so the tap does seem to be the same as the one listed on the B&Q website for £124 - https://www.diy.com/departments/cooke-lewis-clavey-chrome-finish-kitchen-modern-side-lever-tap/1583477_BQ.prd?utm_campaign=bau&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=awin&utm_content=Communities+&+UGC&utm_term=47868&awc=483_1530627322_e8377559f76490e1a5e067d818447579
Nice find. heat added by me
Definitely a good deal for this type of tap, and with the Screwfix 10y warranty. Any issues and you should be able to get a replacement with the receipt. Heated.
yes, b&q and screwfix are the same company
Purchased and DIY fitted in less than an hour. Delighted to find the box included 2 flexible connectors for the price and that the tap is guaranteed for 10 years.
You want one of these - pure majj gadget especially at night! https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/360-Degree-Rotate-Swivel-3-Color-LED-Tap-Faucet-Temperature-Sensor-Dexd/28008838679?iid=282977322158&_trkparms=aid=222007&algo=SIC.MBE&ao=2&asc=49130&meid=2f2445e604c2423fa6cfb046583faa36&pid=100011&rk=2&rkt=12&sd=222112567415&itm=282977322158&_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850
Probably. Bought it off screwfix for £30. It's not a Cooke and Lewis though. Good news is it's only for the spare utility kitchen and not the main. For that I bought a nice £100 one from Screwfix.
Weve got this exact tap in our kitchen think we paid about £30. I changed the tip for a swivel aerator from amazon as well.
Great. Thanks for sharing
Loads left in Aldi in Diss
No, I'll fit it myself when I replace the kitchen in the autumn. Taps are pretty straightforward to fit, spend some time on YouTube and if you feel confident enough give it a go.
You don’t sound like a Happy bunny at all !! (embarrassed)
I'll end up ripping the dam thing out when I see it!
I biught one and it doesnt fit on my mixer tap.
OOS currently, will give the amazon one a go then
Nice little hack on the surface but the amount of tape you will use each time you want to use it will eventually cost more than adaptor itself.
Simple and cheaper way (lol) (lol)
No need to fit one I have the zedra great brand would go for one which has a pull out
Does anyone know if you can fit an aerator to this tap or whether it has one built in? Our current Ikea tap just spews water out and means you're constantly wiping up excess water spills and as a result has pretty much spoilt black kitchen sink with white water stains!! Still, its what the other half wanted (annoyed) Obviously the kids can't be bothered to clean up any excess water after they've made a mess (mad)
Grohe is one of the best brand for taps. You don't want to go cheap with taps as it's a pain to replace if they start leaking, and costly if you need to get a plumber out.
Thanks, I happen to have a dripping kitchen tap, so quite tempted - a slow delivery would suit me too, then I would have to fit it over the bank holiday. :)
56.50 with royalmail delivery (cheapest option) I'd rather pay the extra 3.50 for amazon's return policy I bought a variation of this tap a few years back and it's great. Highly recomment
expired. was about to buy as well and they've put it up to over a grand. what a joke.
I might be looking at this wrongly or missing something but don't you use energy to keep the water at boiling temp all the time?
I think so yes, Most likely power near as dishwasher in etc We have these at work, to be honest its nothing special...
Not everyone does, I agree, but a very high or very low temperature is usually a good indication. I'm talking about people complaining anyway, not the post temp
I usually buy 240 kettles
Bought similar one from Lidl £20 in chrome, very good quality . If black colour is compatible with your kitchen then £12 is a bargain
I picked one up for £20 from Wickes and it looks fantastic and works fantastic. Good find!
Lol, just been and ordered one for pick up. Im 100% sure this was £19.99 last week because I checked on Friday.
Yes and yes. Budget about £30 a year in standby electricity, plus about £50 a year in filters.
I've been after something like this. Does it work as a good replacement for a kettle? Do you still need to plumb in hot water for non-boiling water?
Whole of my kitchen cost only that much..
This is indeed a good price. Looks to include the 'old' model insinkerator boiler, but that shouldn't put you off buying one.
Great price (party)
Back up to £175.99 ... those who didn't buy it missed out. It's a great tap!
ok , will do Monaco.
You should post separately. It's a good deal...
Tap might help with my drink problem.
For anyone on a budget Aldi have some stylish Kitchen mixer taps with a five year guarantee . On the website they are £49.99 but in a local store they'd been reduced to £29.99. Needless to say we now have a new Kitchen tap :D https://www.aldi.co.uk/aramis-extending-kitchen-mixer-tap/p/095686188468401 https://www.aldi.co.uk/artemis-extending-kitchen-mixer-tap/p/095686185502000
What You can fully adjust the temperature of this
Not true, and if it was it would be a stupid design. Monobloc taps like this design can still control the heat, they mix the hot and cold water so you can have cold , tepid , warm and full hot and everything in between.
...There is no pun there.
Heat added (y)
Loads left in Leyton B&Q today despite showing out of stock on the website
In stock at Hayes
got this tap excellent buy still in stock at B&Q Wolverhampton
If you've purchased this, take it back for a refund. Not worth the heartache.
applies to appliances. i suspect a lot of mid-range taps are made in china and at least you have a big shop that should honour the five year warranty on this if required
Thought it was a smoking pipe on first glance. Heat just for that.
Lol the type of tap that splashes water all over the place
Not had one in black, but have had the chrome one before. Had no problems at all with it, been installed for about 18 months now.
Yes they did, that's why it's so cheap. :D
These are rubbish you'll soon be replacing it. This is the most common type of tap I replace.
this tap in the article looks exactly the same as the one on Aldi advert...
Is this straightforward to fit myself? I've never changed a tap in my life (horror)
I can confirm that this tap is from another supplier and is SAFE. Spoke to Aldi themselves.
I have this tap and it's brill. If it was so dangerous they would have to recall them I would assume.
I have a double lever with low pressure would this be suitable for my home
£49.99 Now :(
Its back to £50
Collected and fitted mine today. Some of the comments on here are correct. It is a pain to fit and will be a pain to disassemble when the time comes. Can't see it lasting very long. The flexible hose connecting the shower head to the tap base feels cheap. Overall I'd say if you're on a budget and have a couple of hours to spare go for it. If you can afford a bit more i would definitely buy something different.
We had this design of tap purchased from Lidl. The metal split and broke of at the bottom of the tube where the spray head pushes in, it was my brother's fault though, because he wouldn't support the spout when he pressed the black spray/jet button, and the body of the tap appeared to be made of 100% zinc rather than brass, judging by the silver colour of the metal where it broke off.. Other issues we had was black mould were water was getting under the black plastic button cover. The tap was a bit low to fill a jug kettle, and the flowrate was poor. After a couple of years the wire braiding protecting the various flexi-pipes frayed injuring hands if touched while reaching under the sink. We also had issues with the flexi-pipes that connect the spout loosening themselves when the spout was swung, after a few weeks of use - I'd recommend using a sealant to stop them undoing and leaking. The other issue I had was with fitting/removing ours because there are four tubes feeding into the base and there wasn't any space between the feed tails and the nuts that clamp the tap to the sink for the thickness of a box spanner, so I had to use open ended spanners in very confined access as the sink was already fitted, making the Lidl one a right royal pain to fit. Hopefully the screwfix one is better quality and has a bit more space. I learn't my lesson and replaced mine with a much more expensive bristain tap
