Obviously hit and miss national, but local store also has Sausages and other stuff from New Years available, date ending 06/01/19
watson44

i agree, this should be amended as local deal which the site does allow

dewonderful

Dafuq is Xmas-y about bacon? Every supermarket in the country has reduced food in the evening. This website is bad enough - imagine if everyone posted about a loaf of bread for 20p in store specific locations around the country (fierce) Take this down, it's nonsense, don't encourage other people to post like this. Geez, mods must have got a good supply of cheap mulled wine to let this slide...

Mr_T19I

Weirdly I turned up when it got robbed....obviously not the culprit but noticing lots of kids hanging around there recently

Don't forget student discount!! (y)

Yet another store date expiring reduction. Quick ASDA/Tesco/Sainsbury’s/ALDI/Lidl have all got reductions on different things but will be store specific so quick all run there. (y)

sorry, you quoted my comment so I thought you meant me, I agree with you though, lots of people moan about them and have never tried them.

sopranoPhD

I didn't mean you, I meant cosettedonkey and people who hadn't tried them!

square72

I have tried them and that's why I commented on the lack of smell. If I hadn't tried them, I wouldn't of commented.

cosettedonkey

Thank u both. I will give this a try and may try a normal yankee too. I use white company and Jo Malone TBH but they are very expensive for what they are x thanks OP too

sopranoPhD

If you haven't tried them before, though, give them a go. Opinions like this are all over HUKD about the Home Inspirations range - but I have NEVER had any issue with them. The smell lasts all the way down every time for me . We swap our candles around every three days so that we don't become desensitized to the one smell - maybe that's where everyone goes wrong! (y)

TALON1973

Anyone know what vthe quality is like ?

AndyMCarr

I think this is the best description I can find Half-speed mastering is a vinyl cutting technique where the source is played back at half its normal speed while the turntable on the vinyl cutting lathe also runs at half-speed (16 2/3 to be precise). Everything plays back as normal on your turntable at home. The idea with this method is that the recording stylus has twice as long to carve the intricate groove into the master lacquer and high-frequency information is easy to cut because it’s not high frequency any more – when played half speed it’s mid-range, which is easier to cut. The advantages are supposed to be a record that is capable of an ‘extremely clean and unforced high-frequency response’ and a detailed and solid stereo image. So better quality recordings should result.

newchappers

It’s true, there is no evidence that cough medicines work

Besford

Watch the (clever?) TV add again and ask yourself why they make no claims about the product's efficacy - it's because there isn't any! Active ingredients were removed from this kind of thing years ago because they were potentially dangerous so now you're just left with a placebo. Look it up if you don't believe me. The buzz phrase in medicine these days is 'evidence based.....'. Many long-trusted treatments, including GP and hospital prescribed ones, are being discontinued because they have been shown not to work! As a taxpayer you probably don't want to be paying for snake oil so why buy it yourself?

Well I've never paid as i am cashless and there is no way to pay as a modern human being. But they're officially free for old-style payers from next week!
louiselouise

St Vincent Place toilets (Glasgow), long shut down, were notorious as well. Not somewhere you'd want to go after dark, unless you could handle yourself (no euphemism intended!).

louiselouise

Just a FYI, happening in Glasgow Central (train station) and others, as well, from April 1st https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/news/glasgow-news/toilet-charges-scrapped-glasgow-central-15570161 Toilets at Glasgow Central will be free to use from April next year, according to Network Rail. The announcement will see the charges at all stations where they are in place across the country dropped by April 1 2019. As well as Glasgow Central, toilet charges will be dropped at 18 other stations. Although the changes will affect some of the biggest stations in the country run by Network Rail, stations that are run by separate companies may still charge passengers to use toilets.

To be fair, they all mime certain parts of the show, including Beyonce, as you cannot dance energetically and sing full tilt at the same time, certainly not in your 40's and beyond. I think a few artists are struggling to fill the big stadiums these days. Katy Perry tickets were going cheap earlier this year as I recall. I's be tempted by these but they are quite a way back.

She was amazing in her time, probably one of the best female vocalists in the world with an amazing pitch to her voice. But that thing called age eventually gets to us all and sometimes we should knock it on the head before we’re remembered for the bad stuff. 20 years ago these tickets would of been hot, but now, your only going to see a has been. Still hot though as she’s still a legend and did a cracking Xmas tune :)
