They do bigger sets, but you have to pay extra (probably to cover the extra postage etc. https://www.welovebricks.com/product-category/the-big-sets/

Not heard of that site, thanks. But having taken a quick look, they only rent sets out worth up to £50 so this one wouldn't be included.

It is a dull, dull build! impressive when built, but as a previous commenter has said, its fairly large when finished. However, heat added and good spot OP

Yes looked like a national deal. Plenty in Wath, Rotherham on Saturday. Not the best deal but good for little party gifts or a treat!

Bought the same in Bicester last week (y) Cute Pug is adorable. They also had a City orange truck thing 30357, a Friends remote control boat, and one more I can't remember.

No it isn't. There is stock in a load of stores for me. How is the poster supposed it's national without checking every store.

TabbyBoy

It's OBVIOUS that this is yet another wild goose chase that HUKD is renowned for. I have better things to do that type in every postcode near where I live. Please please please just post NATIONAL deals so that we can all benefit, that's all I ask!

Why do Lego deals always attract people who want to tell me what they'd rather buy with the money instead? There are lots of things I'd rather buy than most of the deals on HUKD, but I don't feel the need to tell people about it. Maybe (just maybe) there are people who've already got a car and a tablet and don't need another one?

Crazy stuff...

Dont have to run it... we all do it subconsciously.. unless it's impulsive purchase 😁

I did not know that, very useful info for future, thank you!!

Rats88

Bit of possibly helpful info for the future. Toys r us click and collect will show as 0 if there are 3 or less in store. They can only offer click and collect if more than 3 available in store. So always worth checking even if it says none. Also my store have none (checked over phone) currently but are getting some in on next delivery. So are letting me go down and buy it at the sale price and then I just go get it when it comes in so I don’t miss out on the extra £10 off either.

coming back to this thread a few days after. i was quite happy that it seemed to take £5 off each of the 2 sets i bought so pulled the trigger fast. now looking through the comments here i could of course have "optimised" this much more so a bit unsure whether i should be happy that it took off £10 in total or chuffed that i could have got a much better deal...a real HUKD dilemma;-)

Neither of them were/are available at half price. There are a large number of sets showing as half price which have been sold out for weeks. The smaller Millennium Falcon is another. Most of them weren't even available at 30% off for more than a couple of days after the post Christmas sale started. They are still showing in the sale section so have been reduced to half price along with the few items that are actually available, but it doesn't mean anything and you haven't missed out. The Lego Shop has had quite a few issues with it's sale items and availability. This is just the latest one.

timeandeffort

With one deal and several sarcastic comments posted in their five years of circulating on this site, you won't hear about any genuine offers from that user...

I’m not retired, can I still build this?

markinoxon

Hi TabbyBoy, I noticed the train was half price but missed the station being reduced or even being available, how would I hear about offers like that in future? Thanks.

TabbyBoy

LEGO online had it half price last week, but you had to call them to order one. JL will probably reduce them instore soon anyway. You won't miss out as it'll be released again by October

Great looking kit...Heat.... Drrrrink.

EmilyCarey-Smith

It’s a great build but LEGO were very shoddy - 3 pieces over on one brick and under on another and moulding on one terrible, but that was OK apparently as that was the same as the one in the office, when I explained just because that one was bad too it didn’t make it acceptable spares were ordered but really for this kind of money LEGO didn’t give it much thought but like I say lovely model very hard to get the power functions, Lego have been out of stock for the battery pack for over 1 month

Junglis999

It’s a very repetitive build for those considering buying this. Does look nice though.

Agreed, if it had lego logos, then it would be counterfeit. It doesn't so its a clone. Unless, specific patents are breached or PROTECTED IP is stolen, clones are not illegal.

shareef

It's not counterfeit, it's genuine... Lepin. Not Lego branded. Ever seen hi street brands copy designs of branded hand bags or clothes? Like every single chain... More accurate comparison.

toythatkills

What I don't understand is why it's acceptable to mention Lepin in these threads, where in any other part of HUKD telling people where to buy counterfeit goods would surely be frowned upon? I mean, if every thread about a cheap Blu-Ray box-set had someone come in and post instructions where you could download it for free wouldn't that be an immediate ban? "It provides the same joy" though, doesn't it, so by that justification it should be allowed? No one is posting links to fake Chanel bags or perfumes. It's just LEGO, for some reason. Nonseeeense.

Perhaps this thread should be separated out; but to be fair I've never had any problems with Royal Mail deliveries and a bloke I know says the same thing about DPD that I do about Yodel. I'm excpecting/hoping for a delivery from DHL in a week or two ... wonder how that'll go?

merlinthehappypig

Lets be honest pretty much all of the delivery companies are rubbish at some time or another. In the last 10 days I've had parcel contents stolen by UK Mail employees and the parcel re-taped, Yodel delayed despite being at the depot for two days, Amazon Logistics delivering at 9pm, Royal Mail not delivering at all because of postman sickness. The best service we've had overall is Hermes, which many people hate and DPD. Unfortunately we all order so much online now that sooner or later something will go wrong with every company, especially at this time of year. Must be an absolute nightmare for the drivers. Still a pain when it happens though.

bookdream

Don't get me started! Your experience is obviously satisfactory but I can only report what happened to me 2 years ago: IIRC Lego delivery was meant to be one day, nothing arrived so I called Yodel in the evening to be told the delivery man couldn't find the address and it would be delivered the next day. (More likely it was late and he wanted to go home - nobody else can't find the address) Next day nothing arrives so I call them again to be told they had too many deliveries that day (IIRC) and it will be there on the next day. Next day, as luck would have it through the window I happen to notice a Yodel van driving up and down the street; so I go out and stand in front of the van and make it stop to get the delivery. To be fair, the contents of the parcel were in a good state. I told Lego that I wouldn't be using their online store again until/unless I hear they're using a different delivery company.
