Why do Lego deals always attract people who want to tell me what they'd rather buy with the money instead? There are lots of things I'd rather buy than most of the deals on HUKD, but I don't feel the need to tell people about it. Maybe (just maybe) there are people who've already got a car and a tablet and don't need another one?

I've booked a 3 night holiday for a family of 4 to London (from Edinburgh) for less than 150 quid.
This is tempting but I think it would be such a boring build 😩

Here is a nice video with some detail. It's a little disappointing but hard for anything to compete with the impressive Taj Mahal.

coming back to this thread a few days after. i was quite happy that it seemed to take £5 off each of the 2 sets i bought so pulled the trigger fast. now looking through the comments here i could of course have "optimised" this much more so a bit unsure whether i should be happy that it took off £10 in total or chuffed that i could have got a much better deal...a real HUKD dilemma;-)
Both my orders were honoured and arrived tonight. Even paying 3.95 delivery on each I've saved a fortune. Thanks op

Neither of them were/are available at half price. There are a large number of sets showing as half price which have been sold out for weeks. The smaller Millennium Falcon is another. Most of them weren't even available at 30% off for more than a couple of days after the post Christmas sale started. They are still showing in the sale section so have been reduced to half price along with the few items that are actually available, but it doesn't mean anything and you haven't missed out. The Lego Shop has had quite a few issues with it's sale items and availability. This is just the latest one.

It’s a great build but LEGO were very shoddy - 3 pieces over on one brick and under on another and moulding on one terrible, but that was OK apparently as that was the same as the one in the office, when I explained just because that one was bad too it didn’t make it acceptable spares were ordered but really for this kind of money LEGO didn’t give it much thought but like I say lovely model very hard to get the power functions, Lego have been out of stock for the battery pack for over 1 month

Perhaps this thread should be separated out; but to be fair I've never had any problems with Royal Mail deliveries and a bloke I know says the same thing about DPD that I do about Yodel. I'm excpecting/hoping for a delivery from DHL in a week or two ... wonder how that'll go?
Lets be honest pretty much all of the delivery companies are rubbish at some time or another. In the last 10 days I've had parcel contents stolen by UK Mail employees and the parcel re-taped, Yodel delayed despite being at the depot for two days, Amazon Logistics delivering at 9pm, Royal Mail not delivering at all because of postman sickness. The best service we've had overall is Hermes, which many people hate and DPD.

Unfortunately we all order so much online now that sooner or later something will go wrong with every company, especially at this time of year. Must be an absolute nightmare for the drivers. Still a pain when it happens though.
m0dm0use14 m ago

Explain what was wrong with yodel? I've not had problems with them for a …Explain what was wrong with yodel? I've not had problems with them for a few years now.

Don't get me started! Your experience is obviously satisfactory but I can only report what happened to me 2 years ago: IIRC Lego delivery was meant to be one day, nothing arrived so I called Yodel in the evening to be told the delivery man couldn't find the address and it would be delivered the next day. (More likely it was late and he wanted to go home - nobody else can't find the address) Next day nothing arrives so I call them again to be told they had too many deliveries that day (IIRC) and it will be there on the next day. Next day, as luck would have it through the window I happen to notice a Yodel van driving up and down the street; so I go out and stand in front of the van and make it stop to get the delivery. To be fair, the contents of the parcel were in a good state.
I told Lego that I wouldn't be using their online store again until/unless I hear they're using a different delivery company.

They’ll look at whatever is selling and what needs a push pre-Christmas (clear out space for new sets/future offers) on a store-by-store basis.
