Received mine too, feels fantastic. Just trying to make sense of the warranty, says we have to send a card to Nashville but surely there is an easier way...

JonMiller

Mine arrived yesterday - looks really good. I've removed the pick guard, prefer the unfussy look, especially with the covered pickups. And I might get round to playing it eventually when I've stopped admiring its looks.

Hermes have received my LP from Mondial Relay (Euro courier?)..should be here in the next few days.

Ah the old the more expensive guitar I buy the better I'll sound chestnut 😁. ...joshing aside Ive seen a few signature guitars .. especially in the sub grand range ....there's a couple I wished I'd had bought at the time . ...... they've all gone up in value ...sometimes doubled.

I think it's true of most things in life: you won't really appreciate how good the best of the best is, unless you first have the crap, indifferent and average so you can compare them. But, if you can afford it, you'll always be tempted.

FootyFan99

But it gives you something to aim for by leaving it in the corner of the room

Mr.Nutts

Oh I know. My first comment was meant tongue in cheek. I’ve not played in so long :S Keep an eye on GumTree and Facebook Marketplace for second-hand bargains. Doesn’t have to be new to be a dream guitar (y)

pistikovago

Yeah, true. But someone like me who can't play yet...just can't justify a 2k guitar as my first. Even if it's my dream..

So Fine... but You’re Crazy if you think I can afford this. It will have to remain a Bad Obsession...

Had a look at this yesterday’s, got nothing for meeeee tho

yomanation

The effect on tone is really unnoticeable, it's really just an aesthetic thing. Anyway, you can always buy a cheap set of covers add them in, it's a very easy process. Seems like this guitar comes with a blank truss rod cover as well, which is nice, I don't like it when a guitar looks too obviously 'signature'.

All you need is just a little patience

Looked at this at £2,599 a few weeks ago. Way out of my price range even at the reduced price but I’d love one of these.

I can see what it is now, but considering what I, and others, have paid for it previously this is NOT a bargain!

Same here, I bought this exact guitar for my daughter earlier this year from GuitarGuitar for £79.99

freddyfender

personally i'd avoid any sub 200 quid guitar....beginner or not just look on ebay ..gumtree...facebook market place....the graveyards of cheap ...poorly made and badly set up guitars! really is a false economy folks

Toni_Ertl

This would be my choice for £139 if you can wait a couple of weeks for delivery: https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_hbt1952.htm I'd be happy to gig with this.

The 012 or 112 or does it not matter too much for a beginner?

imdurc

I started with a Squier strat and found it such a pig to play. The Pacifica mentioned plays much nicer! I don't know about the Epiphone here, but, if you can, see if a music shop will let you come and try similar models. Guitar choice is really personal and it's always best to get a hands-on demo to see which you prefer.

subbafer

I would go for the Squier. I found telly easier to play and preferred over this lp when I started.
