Certainly. £137.50 here http://www.powertool-supplies.co.uk/bosch-gsb-12v-li-combi-drill-and-gdr-12v-li-impact-driver-twin-kit.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9qvruuet3QIVyrTtCh1dYQlxEAQYAiABEgLtxfD_BwE But, FFX and others have it semi-regularly for the £130 mark. I ended up buying the green Easyimpact 12v because Wickes had it for about £48 at the time, but I've still got half an eye on upgrading to the blue/pro range.

Definitely hold off and pay a bit more for LXT if you can - the range of tools is superb e.g hedge trimmer for £50 as a bare tool. You can buy 1.5 and 2Ah batteries in LXT reasonably cheap - they won't drive all the tools like the circular saw but on drills and impact drivers they last ages and make to tool lighter to use.

spannerzone

That model seems to be a kit for a drill and an impact driver?

This new 10.8v Makita range is not compact enough to differentiate itself from their 18v stuff, the Bosch pro 12v system is much better designed (or Milwaukee) and way more compact with good range of batteries, a perfect compliment to more powerful but heavier kit.

Well I’ve bought a lot of dewalt gear lately & I’ve had nothing but trouble with it. I work with 20 sparks and probably 15 own makita and not a bad word said , 2 of us own dewalt and we ain’t stopped moaning. Typical sparks I spose.

Not a bad price but both tools are at the lower end of the range. To buy this kit separately would be an extra £50 so as a starter set it's a good buy.

Hi I have the LXT range of Makita I use them every day for work, they are great if you are going to buy more of the Makita range but My friend at work has the same b&q Makita set, they are ok for DIY and if you don't need much battery life for the work you want to do

emmkay

Hitachi drill are having excellent reviews but their marketing gimmicks and market penetration is probably not that good. My only concern is how easy / costly will it be to get a spare battery in 3-4 years from now. Hitachi will surely be there but you know what I mean.

bigweapon07

Theyve had the LXT 18v hammer drill with 3 batteries for £140 recently. But isnt the difference between the batteries/unit something to do with a bit of plastic preventing the lxt battery fitting? Would take the dewalt over this version and unless your using it day in day out this is ideal (more medium-heavy diy use/light trade use than medium-heavy trade use)

hardbast

thanks for the input but how's this compare to abuhaja's deal? http://www.diy.com/departments/dewalt-li-ion-hammer-drill-driver-impact-driver-2-batteries-dcz298c2-gb/1087533_BQ.prd is the dewalt battery interchangeable with other dewalt tools? what is the torque like with these impacts? I have had a wimpy one that claimed to have 150Nm but struggle to even loosen hand tighten bolts

They should have honored it but they have refused, Amazon don't care as they sleep on their big pile of tax dodged cash mountain! The merchants a T@$$€R!

webby443

I've emailed them to try ;) Not my fault they've printed the wrong dispatch note, I want what I ordered :-0

eldre

I'm in the same boat. Amazon order / e-mail says with 2 batteries etc, but they have also sent me a separate INVOICE for a bare unit.

DomManley

Probably but the dispatch note was for the bare unit. It was clearly a mistake. There will probably be something in the terms and conditions as a get out clause anyway.

webby443

If they take the money, then dispatch, aren't they in a legally binding contract?? And must provide the goods?
