Did this last week with my son and we really enjoyed it. Well worth the money.
I've done the Manchester Crystal Maze and it is exactly like the TV show - you even get a guide from a team of 50 different people who take you round the zones in character.

It's a no-brainer for £30 and we are hoping to do it again!

They did say that you wouldn't get additional people added to your group if you have 5 or more, though a few people said they did. If you have a group of five, you get 3+ rooms each.

With a group of 8, you would probably get only 2 each instead, so worth trying to get the numbers right.

If you ran a business, I would like to know how you would run it & see if money is a driving force to pay bills or are you doing it for charity. It's still an extra to the business though who has to pay staff, cleaning equipment, chemicals, electric, water, toilet rolls, repairs for wear & tear & damages, Can you get these for free? NO, someone is paying for it & it's coming out from someone's pocket. Doesn't matter if it part of an expense that goes with the territory. It will get passed on somehow. This will be my last reply to you as it's clear we'll have to agree to disagree on this. After all this, it's very well clear that one like yourself is one who doesn't like paying even when it's someone's problem to absorb the extra expense. You have a choice, you pay or you don't pay.

By paying the over-inflated rail prices, were already funding far more than the cost of a measly toilet, and yes, they are irrelevant questions as a small business is totally different to what we're discussing, even at that you mention charities, many of them manage to treat toilets as a necessary expense, if a charity can do it, why can't one of the busiest train stations in the country?

WTF! What's my profile got to do with this? Stick to the topic in question.

No, you mean millions over the term of the contract franchise, Yes but partially & it's not on a gold plate without any restrictions or conditions to allow them to operate that service, it's their business model. I'm aware of some CEOs salary can be obscene at the top to the likes below rank but who offered those jobs to them for their experience & expertise? I agree that if the salaries were to be spread fairly across the board then staff moral & efficiency would increase improve massively in harmony with better service to the public but who came up with those silly employment contracts in the first place, board of directors, shareholders?

Do you want to upskill yourself to run the train business if you can do better? How about tell Richard Branson to reduce his pension plans for the future himself to offset the cost to those below ranks & pass it on to the public because @rossss doesn't like paying for toilets? I wonder if Richard Branson uses those toilets himself since he's paid for it improving & maintaining them but expect to let every Tom, Dick & Harry to use them for free? Free to the public but train companies can absorbed the cost for nothing. A business is to make profit to stay in business or how do you expect the government collect taxes from staff & business?

LG's gone big on picture enhancement this year, with claimed improvements in noise reduction, depth enhancement and colour reproduction. Also new for 2018 is support for high frame rates up to 120fps (frames per second).LG has also added dynamic processing to HDR formats HDR 10 and HLG - both of these tend to use static metadata but LG claims HLG Pro and HDR 10 Pro will be able to enhance the picture quality of these two formats even further.

Also keep in mind the new stuff will have nothing to support it for years. The image processing won't be that big of a difference (sport i guess?). The only big thing is black frame thing.
Add SALE100 for a further £100 off. Only works on the 55", and not the 65" though

What do people think of Seattle as a holiday location?

Doesn't look too bad although a week there may be a bit much, maybe go for 10 days considering you can get a flight from Seattle to San Fran/LA/Las Vegas for ~£90 return (£50 one way), you could hit a few places in one go. Seattle fly to San Fran (2hrs), San Fran fly to Los Angeles, Los Angeles drive to Las Vegas (4 hrs)...
kpmatthews11 h, 39 m ago

do thomas cook ever do this from london airports?

The answer is almost definitely no...

Simply because the airline is focusing all these new flights to the USA from Manchester and avoiding the London blood bath market, where Manchester only has a few other flights to America.

By flying from Manchester they avoid having to compete with Norwegian, WOW Air and Primera Air, which are all new low-cost airline entrants on the London to USA market, in the last few years. The traditional carriers are also adjusting their prices to compete with these airlines, so prices are rock bottom and making a profit in the long run is questionable.

These £300 flights by Thomas Cook, are only a limited number and spread across numerous flights, so they can fill the rest of the seats on the flight with more expensive tickets, and it gets them headlines in the travel press for having fares this cheap and makes it known they now operate this route.

Sorry, should have been clear that this was including two kids, who don't pay as much in tax apparently.
I did this trip last year, cannot fault Thomas Cook and their professional staff, albeit I did upgrade. SF is an amazing visit but be warned, do your homework for accommodation - a better exchange rate right now but it is so expensive, eating out can be a lot of dollars. I found the big department store Macys was great for lunch times. So easy to get around and so much to see, the local bus trips are fun with great characters and the city , once you get your bearings , is very walkable - but those hills. take a good pair of shoes.

If to take girlfriend, and say we had 2 kids would then be £37.96, factor in cost of the food and drink its gonna be well over £60 for 2 hours entertainment! (on the assumption the films any good!) Why should I have to pay over double what someone else is paying in a different part of the country?

It's easy to think all prices should be the same, and I get why that is the perception, but it's not the reality for those running the business. In the same way people pay more for the exact same home in different parts of the country, Vue will need to pay differing rent charges for their cinemas. Taking into account how big a cinema could be, it could mean a massive difference in rent and these costs need to be covered. Also competition in the area always affects prices a business will charge, simple supply and demand.

Personally hardly ever use the cinema these days as its a total ripoff imo but I live near the Livingston one so for £5 a ticket I might start going again (was previously over £10).
At this price I'd actually go to the cinema - when my local is more than the price of a DVD from Amazon I'd rather wait for it to be released
Have been well impressed with Vue Gateshead, much better value than their (many) competitors in the area. The screens are very good quality and the seats are actually comfortable.
