One bar in Manchester has amazing panoramic views with outdoor lounges 12 floors up! Use Facebook messenger to get code, which I think are unique. Follow instructions.

I went to use mine today and the manager of the bar knew nothing about it even though it was listed on the link.

Well if you come to Manchester by train and its final stop is Piccadilly, then just walk downstairs for Piccadilly Tram Stop, take the first tram with Eccles or Media City written on it and get off at Exchange Quay :)

aland163

OK thanks. Which tram stop would you choose?

Ratlee94

Eccles or Media City line from Picadilly to Exchange Quay takes around 15 minutes + 10 minutes to walk from the tram stop to Old Trafford. Count in any additional time for queueing etc. :)

aland163

Any advice? The website is awful Foo fighters on Tuesday 19th. As far as I can make out you take the altrinham(?) line to old Trafford. How long will it take from picaldilly and how much roughly. Train is in at 4:30 and hoping to catch wolf alice for 5:30.

Justsuperman

I get free trams for life been in the forces and respect metrolink very much for providing the service

Been Marmaris before and it was fine, local men are a bit more 'gropier' (potentially made up word) than what you may be accustomed to in the uk, but so are many places. The food is amazing and very well priced. One thing i would say is that the transfers from Dalaman airport to Marmaris are almost as long as a flight from Manchester to Dalaman, 3 hours on a coach after doing 3 hours on a plane just ain't my cup of tea (i hear private hire and thus direct can be as little as 90 mins). good price though. TL;DR - 6/10, would go back, just somewhere with closer transfers.

You'd be running a long way as the volcano is on a different island all together.

rachelandgromit

Or Hilo - if you are going to Volcano National Park it's only 40-45 mins away. We used frequent flyer points to fly Honolulu to Hilo. We then spent time at the Military Camp right inside VNP (if you have any friends or family, serving or not you can stay inside the camp at a very reasonable rate). We then moved to Hilo area and visited Mauna Kea, the black beaches, saw turtles etc.

degudodger

Nope. Kona, on the big Island

rachelandgromit

Isn't this generally a standard price? I flew to Hawaii from Manchester for less than £350 return a few years ago, splitting my time between Honolulu and Volcano National Park/Hilo and even visited Mauna Kea. It's an expensive place but I don't think the flight prices are particularly cheap.

GunMetal

It is nice but not as nice as Maui and parking is a nightmare and expensive. Lots of tall rise buildings in Honolulu. Better than Maui however is the Big Island. If you can take a a flight there - you can drive up mauna kea and see the stars. Amazing experience. Avoid lava (cheeky)

Aah, how I miss the Boots meal deals :( And it was your posting here that alerted me to the fact that I could get the tubs of chewing gum! I do remember getting, ahem, a couple of these at Boots Piccadilly 8)

What a fantastic deal, op! Remember the Boots £1 meal deal days and getting these when the 60-count tubs of chewing gum had run out!

OwlEye

Looked it up hehe it's 1.4 miles walking, more driving!

Could be- Farnworth Tesco is so near to Walkden though, must be less than a mile?

There was a stand at farnworth last night selling them for a pound, so not reduced there unless they were trying to get rid of stock before dropping the price :/

I went to Borough market a few weeks after the attack because I was disgusted I'd never been there before. I used to commute through London regularly and had never heard of the place. I had the normal 'are you mad?' concerns. I've been going to potential terrorist spots my whole life, I'm not going to stop now. You use a bit of savvy and stay awake in potential hotspots.

thabiz

It's probably fairly safe if you keep away from drink, drugs and prostitution. And you don't get wound up/violent easily, or tend to make others wound up/violent.

Loathecliff

50p each way on the bus to people-watch through the hotel zone (once is enough, but note the turquoise ocean). Then back to sanity at my favourite centro restaurant. Four courses and a drink £3 :) Viva (the real) Mexico!

svizor

All police out here is armed. And they petrol the hotel zone as a lot of the income comes from torrists to make people feel safe. They are more like check points than petrols, your Taking my words out of context. Anywhere you go in the world has crime.

How the hell is it getting so cheap? I would book this for me, the mrs and the daughter and pretend kid #2 totally exists but is forever in the bathroom... Better than paying over double for just the three of us.

rachelandgromit

There are errors and then there are errors, like flight glitches that have been honoured. This is just a cheap late deal and I'd be very, very surprised if it was an error. It's been on the site more than 24 hours now and still available so if they were going to pull it, they would have done already. Florida prices have been dropping and it's becoming common to see packages like this sub £300pp.

rob.kendrick

We got a similar deal back in January. We were able to book and pay in full but then got a call within 5 days to say it was a website error and that they would refund in full. They sent me the t&c’s and it stated they had every right to cancel and refund. This will be the same. 100%
