In all honesty, lounge around the pool, as far as I am concerned. Abu Dhabi is trying to catch up with Dubai and now has the only satellite of the Louvre. It also has Ferrari World and the Sheikh Zayeed mosque which is stunning for the workmanship in it alone. You could also stay in the $3,000,000,000 Emirates Palace ( which is currently on offer! ), one of the most opulent hotels on the planet.

Scorpion

What do folks do when they go to Abu Dhabi ?

mayzi

Ok. Drive there?

dogpatch

Also worth a look at skyscanner as sale prices seem to be available a bit cheaper there

£330 for a 6/7 hour flight isn’t a good deal imo

Thanks whoever added links to each location, although I don't think tickets are necessary as couple of people posted on social media had happened to be passer bys and was able to also participate.. if I come across other locations, I will add to post.

If this included baggage allowance it would be a pretty good price, but I've paid less than this including baggage with Virgin from Mancheter in the last couple of years so that kind of lowers the value to me for this unfortunately. Not bad if you can manage a week on hand luggage though!

dt2748

Flight was from Heathrow airport

dt2748

I just booked two flights to San Francisco for 300 each. Checked bag for 50 pounds so 700 in total. October...virgin Atlantic and netflights

jasee

Sky scanner results are often unreliable. The airlines seem to offer a few very cheap flights, whether or not they actually exist, I don't know, but if you check back later they've gone. Apparently, it's a well know tactic

shmuli9

Guys, what you really want to find is flights via Skyscanner with a travel agent called travelup. They add in baggage for less than what the airline would charge, I paid £281 a flight to New York, a few days ago including baggage....

Yeah you haven't seen Greece until you have been to Meteora! Yeah i ken the ferry prices and i've bagged an Airbnb apartment with a lovely old Greek couple for £50 a week near Kalambaka so not bad at all - will be hob nobbing it with the locals haha pensioners its gonna be rockin' the house down (I wonder if they like Ferry Corsten, Tiesto and Sven Vath?)! (shock) (horror) (cheeky)

airbus330

Certainly would be an interesting tour. You'd have to factor in the ferry price from Zakynthos (zante) to the mainland, but you could add Olympia to the itinerary. I have never had any problems driving in Greece on 4 or 2 wheels, just like driving in any new country, take it slowly until used to the local customs!

omendata

Never been to Greece its on my bucket list but i am more of a traveller i want to visit the James Bond Monastery in Meteora and the Oracle at Delphi lying on a beach isnt my bag so its basically a cheap start point for me as i wont be using the hotel much! Whats the driving like in Greece? Been told better to take bus or train and live it up with the locals?

airbus330

Sure, it could be. I did a holiday in Zante 1st. Week of May a few years back and a lot of shops and restaurants hadn't quite woken up to the new season. It didn't bother us, but is worth knowing if you are expecting something more lively. Late spring is great in Greece.

omendata

Is that not a good thing?

AND MY AXE

Leer

Ahhh, we had no idea about fast tracking although when we got to the Trafford centre and saw this, there wasn't much of a queue however saying that later on when we went pass there was a big queue with a separate queue in the food court.

Haircut_100

Be prepared to have a long wait in the queue. This came to Intu Eldon Square in Newcastle a few days ago and people were arriving at 8am to get in the queue. I got there a couple of hours later and the waiting time was over an hour (I didn't bother with it as my kids would have got too bored). However they had a fast track system, the were also promoting a Volvo car at the event, and if you had a Volvo car key with you it enabled you to get in to a fast queue to have your picture taken on the throne and get your easter egg.

I lived in Mexico for 3 years and moved back in early 2017, which was the worst year on record for casualties related to cartel activity, and Cancun was super bad apparently. It's improved a little since then, but I'd still not risk it yet, especially with family. Don't take my word for it, though, do your research before buying, as with anything significant :)

muckspreader1

Isn't Puerto Vallarta full of Mexicans at this time of year?Just what a friend told me?

ddaann_99

I met an American recently who travels into Mexico regularly for his work. We got talking about tourist safety in Mexico and he basically said its safe enough if you stay within the zona Hotelera but whenever he needs to go out and about he does so with a security detail, which he said ironically actually makes him far more of an interesting prospect for kidnapping etc

Bluebella

I really hate the "tourist" whitewashing of what's going on in Mexico. "Most of mexico is no more dangerous than most places" Mexico has horrendous problems with and cartel violence with 5 of the 6 most violent cities in the world. Yes, it is true that the tourists are protected some degree - they bring in a lot of money after all (have you considered where that money goes?), but to act like their is no problem is insulting to the people who have to live with the corruption and violence daily. Lot's of people chose to vacation in areas with human rights issues but they mostly do so with their eyes open.

matth5182

Got a late deal like this last May, think we paid just over 1600 for the 4 of us. Stayed at the RUI Vallarta all inc. Kids still go on about the Strawberry Dacquaris (sin alcohol but do check before you hand it over) Got stung for the exit tax but no seats together on plane and we had the kids so we ended up in premium cabin. If you like a gamble you can get some cracking late deals with TUI. Only thing about this side of Mexico, the beaches aren't as nice as the Caribbean side but for this price who cares!

Or....Manchester is a huge but finite city where the red half has until recently been very dominant and therefore capturing the fans because "everyone loves a winner". This transfers to a vacuum of local fans available to become Blue until recent years. A fact the United and City boards are fully aware of. The next half decade is vital for both.

john.swfc

To be fair City fans are accustomed to playing in these games in recent years (although they really ought to have sold out now, if not to the proper fans to some of their recently acquired gloryhunter brigade), whereas it's a novelty for Wolves fans as they haven't got this far in the cup for decades and the draw gives them a great chance of winning and getting to the final.
