Just marvellous. got a travel tripod for a fraction of what it costs on Manfrotto’s website. just to add the Manfrotto discount is actually 25% not 20
All Manfrotto Discounts, Offers and Sale - June 2018
So, it's still about £18 OK
Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod - Red + Universal Smartphone Holder Mount = 20.45 pounds
Safety payload Pixi - 1kg Pixi Evo - 2.5kg
Totally agree. I have one and not being able to turn the camera on it’s side is a real pain and a total design floor.
ten or so? so in reality... you mean double the price?
Didn't notice the head bundles when I saw this (I've already got a good head, and I don't use Manfrotto's RC2 quick release plates any more so just automatically ignore them), but those are superb prices! The XPRO Ball Head alone is £94.95 on Amazon - the equivalent bundle is £357.85 rather than the £249 on Uttings
surely one of the head options is better for most here an extra 30odd quid gets a ballhead or 3 way http://www.uttings.co.uk/p128906-manfrotto-mk190goc4-bhx-190-go-ms-carbon-fibre-4-section-tripod-kit-with-xpro-ball-head-mk190goc4-bhx/#.WvlKgYgvyUk http://www.uttings.co.uk/p128903-manfrotto-mk190goc4-3wx-190-go-ms-carbon-fibre-4-section-tripod-kit-with-xpro-3-way-head-mk190goc4-3wx/#.WvlKwogvyUk
I have this, paid more or less same at Amazon earlier in year. Great tripod for travel
I have the aluminium version of this and it's superb. A real step up in stability over over the usual chinese rubbish.
Not a 'probably'..certainly I wont buy that. You guessed it correct ha ha
Same here, finally got my shipping notification!
Back in stock now, just received shipping notification today. Gogogo
Back in stock and still the discounted price is anyone is interested
They said shipping from Italy was delayed for a week. Hopefully it'll be back in stock next week. They took my money on the 8th and I paid for next day delivery. Then they refunded me the delivery fee at request and told me it'd be restocked soon. fingers crossed.
been ready for 5 hours now, no new stock lol
if splitting hairs then it would be actually called PIXI EVO 2-Section Mini TRIPOD !!!!111!!!11 but anyway its not its called pixi evo... which happens to be a 2 section mini tripod calling it the pixi evo 2 suggests there is a pixi evo 1 which is why its not just splitting hairs
Well if you’re going to split hairs it’s actually called PIXI EVO 2-Section Mini!!
lol is this difficult? there is no evo 2 there is pixi mini and pixi evo funnily enough we know about the pixi mini being in the op and all...
Incorrect, there are some still available, just not many around as I guess people are buying them. There was stock in my local store last night, but they have gone and the nearest to me that now has stock is 60 miles away.
Pixi mini...it didn’t have the extendable legs. Still available for around £15
Well, testing myself (which of course I've done - got to know your equipment), I clock in at around 9.2s to extend my clip tripod, and 9.7s to extend my twistlock one. It's a tiny bit slower (at this point, at least - things will speed up as I grow more accustomed to the device), but I'm okay with that because the twists feel nicer on the hand than clips do on the fingertips. Not sure what you mean about 'indeterminate to unlock and tighten', btw. Maybe you should try actually using the thing you're talking about, rather than just hazarding a guess.
I guess yeah you can't see visually if the twists are locked or not. It's a personal thing but in cold weather and a rush I find the twists easier on the hands and fingers and can do them all in one go. It's gonna be a marmite thing but the tripod itself and its versatility is a bonus.
bit confused here, do you not need to tighten them all up separately? on my tripod i can undo all levers at once as well. then when open i move hand down the leg in a straight line squeezing each lever without having to twist etc just know that with twist lock id forget to tighten one as cant immediately see which is tight or not
Don't let @toaster see this (popcorn) :D
Personally I've had a manfrotto with levers for the last year and found it more time consuming outdoors when you're struggling with elements etc. This new twist lock seems a lot easier as when bringing the legs down you can untwist all three points at once with your hand, bit of a time saver for me and feels easier, especially with cold hands 👐
OOS again :(
Missed this the first time around and just ordered one this afternoon and just got dispatch notice, very happy, thanks op
Ordered one last night came today! Amazing quality. I truly recommend it. Dont risk your expensive gear with a cheap tripod get one of these. Came with a free pan and tilt head. Superb service from Jessops.
Got one thanks
Regarding the weight, discussed earlier. It's definitely no light weight, but I had it out today strapped to my backpack with camera and 3 lenses. I knew I was carrying something extra, but it wasn't anything over the top. Plus, the extra stability was much appreciated on top of some very windy fells.
Take a look at carbon/magnesium Manfrotto 290. It comes with the head. http://www.fotosense.co.uk/manfrotto-mk290xtc3-3w-xtra-carbon-kit-with-3-way-head.html?gclid=CjwKCAiA15vTBRAHEiwA7Snfc353-QksmEZ1H6112vTqg5xelw1FfPMsOH_xOLdhlbViV7ZIyjKbzRoCf3oQAvD_BwE#fo_c=77&fo_k=7eae7019488b382a54482a7e8052aa9a&fo_s=gplauk
this deal which is now out of stock https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/manfrotto-190-go-aluminium-tripod-with-free-manfrotto-391rc2-head-7450-jessops-2881570 id not expect this amazon deal to last much longer as they were probably just matching the jessops deal (badly)
From Jessops site - 4 section. Also product photos are identical
EDIT: I am WRONG! The Jessops deal is for the SAME tripod. (embarrassed)
Cold. Earlier post has this from Jessops with a free head for that price. A much better deal.
Code ‘BAGS10’ for another 10% off £61.16
Exactly. Thought it was a good idea, I don't use it for weddings but for outside shoots it's a nightmare. Does give me easy access to switch cameras tho.
Funny I have a shoulder messenger bag also.. there great for holding your gear for a short while but then it kills your shoulder! Hoping this will be an improvment!
Good find. I have the shoulder bag and wish I had this. Heat added.
Great price heat added! Got Manfrotto magnesium ball head can't remember the exact model together with Manfrotto carbon tripod few years back and definitely paid at least £500 for both together,... Cracking price for a great camera tripod head
I went for a "as new" Warehouse deal for £59 (last one) not bad at all. Probably overkill for me too but the advantage over the 496R2 is the independent panning control which is fairly essential for accurate panoramas and I do like my panoramas.
I reckon the Warehouse Deal is a cracker. Can't imagine they'd be anything wrong with them and ultimately you've got the 10 year warranty anyway. Just think this is a bit much for my needs. Might go for the 496R2 though.
thanks OP! great bag
could you not put the dslr gear into the shoulder bags before putting into the backpack? :/
Can honestly say that’s never happened to me. Had this bag for a while, used it lots, and I’ve never had a problem. Great little bag for the price!
@brilly I have Manfrotto bags now, no idea why tbh. I could put the two shoulder ones inside the backpack I bought a few months back. Wouldn't get the DSLR gear in though. Maybe I should buy another? :D
This is genuine. Bought one on the same deal around xmas time last year. Decent camera back for a £10. Holds a decent amount for my basics: Nikon 5400 DSLR body, 2 lenses, battery charger pack and plug adapter, cables and memory cards...with room to spare. Heat from me, again :D
agreed but neotrix just loves dem manfrottos
Gutted! Would’ve loved to get this
Same. DIscontinued here.
Me too! :(
It says discontinued for me. 🤔
Agreed about the colour getting dirty. I've gone for the black version at £30 on ebay which is still a discounted price. Need the extra space at further needless expense haha. Thanks OP.
Each to their own but your method just wouldn't work for my landscape shots. I would also think twice about putting a £5000+ lens and body onto a "cushion". As for superior support, hmmm...
You need to be more inventive and less dependant on what you see a expensive materialistic answers to challenges. Personally as a keen photographer I have always managed when out walking to use a clothing article, such as jumper to cushion my camera on a rock or post etc. Natural features are usually very stable, that allied to the superior support of a "cushion" gives a very stable footing. By using the natural environment answers are there, just think laterally sometimes!
Precisely! If you are just going to drive to somewhere and set up 2 minutes walk from where you parked, then the weight of your gear doesn't matter, but when you're carrying your gear over distance or for a long time, then you want to lower weight wherever you can. When I had the aluminium version, I'd only take it with me when I knew for a fact I'd need it, whereas this is light enough to carry anyway in case you might need it. The other thing to bear in mind is that some lens and camera combos are extremely heavy - for example, the Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary is over 1.5kg on it's own - and cheap tripods aren't necessarily going to be able to handle large weights very well.
You certainly don't need to be a pro to own this Tripod... It's reasonably low end to be honest, although a superb start for an enthusiastic photographer. I carry a lot of gear over mountains for landscapes, travel on planes or sometimes cycle with my kit. This is where you notice those few grams less in weight... A body and lens combo can easily stretch into the thousands, possibly tens of thousands of pounds, even for an amateur.
That's cheap for a tripod. My FLM tripod cost more than that and so did my geared head. I use it 99.9% of the time. I'm not a professional. Now where's that post about a £55 toothbrush? That's outrageous, £55 for a toothbrush? I'd never pay that :D
Code had expired
Missed the coupon code... thank GOODNESS! lol It wasn't exactly the back I wanted anyway!
Great deal OP. I was tempted, but I think it's too big for me.
Nearly went for it, but have 4 camera bags already.... BTW, if you live near Norwich you can save £2.99 and pick up from store.
Great deal - have gone for it 8)
I made it, so it was 'free' !
Displaying as £17.99 now
I've got one ordered at my local...someone else may be able to do the same. Even if you get the display model it's only 97p.
Ah yes, the xx97
Also available for this price at Currys.
are you asking if the p900 is a camera? and under 2.5kg?...
Would this be suitable for a nikkon P900?
I am going to try it out, just need something simple so hopefully its worth it
Just ended before I got a chance to buy it. I think they must have made an error in the listing.
5x nectar points today when spending £20 (at least on my account)
