National Geographic camera sling bag rrp £129.95 - now £37.43 @ Manfrotto
Found 25th JulFound 25th Jul
I purchased a DSLR camera on prime day and been looking for a camera bag since. This looks ideal and has extra compartments for carrying additional items.

if with girl..good deal..if just bag..not at all

Is that a CND sticker on her shoulder? (shock)

Have one myself. It is not very practical for carrying cameras around, very fiddly to take camera in and out: * Sling the bag * Unzip * Untie the cord and take the camera, and at the same time make sure the other stuff does not fall out, including the camera pouch itself The angle of the camera storage compartment is very inconvenient. All in all, good looking, but not practical.

Dam - missed out on this, seem to be £34 now

After 3 montyof use I can say it's Great piece of kit, 🙌 specially if you use a mirrorless system.

Great, came online to look at buying a Manfrotto Pixi, just saw this and took the plunge! Cheers!

This is a great price for this! Was literally looking at it on Friday and I'm sure it was sitting at £36.99 Lovely find (party)

According to Keepa the lowest price ever on amazon! Looks good, pity I ordered something similar from Ali a few days ago...

Good deal but a bit misnamed; Notfree would be more accurate.

I have this tripod it's excellent. Paid about 235 quite a long time ago.

Superb price - used to have an aluminium Befree, and thought it was a great travel tripod. Eventually sold it as after getting a carbon 190Go! it's weight advantage was practically eliminated, and then I switched to using Arca-Swiss style quick release plates. If I were still using the Manfrotto RC2 plates I'd jump on this.

This is a fantastic price for carbon. I have the 055 carbon and the difference in stability and weight is a game changer when lugging ya gear around... Have some heat... 8)

Totally agree. I have one and not being able to turn the camera on it’s side is a real pain and a total design floor.

Didn't notice the head bundles when I saw this (I've already got a good head, and I don't use Manfrotto's RC2 quick release plates any more so just automatically ignore them), but those are superb prices! The XPRO Ball Head alone is £94.95 on Amazon - the equivalent bundle is £357.85 rather than the £249 on Uttings

surely one of the head options is better for most here an extra 30odd quid gets a ballhead or 3 way

I have this, paid more or less same at Amazon earlier in year. Great tripod for travel

I have the aluminium version of this and it's superb. A real step up in stability over over the usual chinese rubbish.

Not a 'probably'..certainly I wont buy that. You guessed it correct ha ha

They said shipping from Italy was delayed for a week. Hopefully it'll be back in stock next week. They took my money on the 8th and I paid for next day delivery. Then they refunded me the delivery fee at request and told me it'd be restocked soon. fingers crossed.

if splitting hairs then it would be actually called PIXI EVO 2-Section Mini TRIPOD !!!!111!!!11 but anyway its not its called pixi evo... which happens to be a 2 section mini tripod calling it the pixi evo 2 suggests there is a pixi evo 1 which is why its not just splitting hairs

Well if you’re going to split hairs it’s actually called PIXI EVO 2-Section Mini!!

lol is this difficult? there is no evo 2 there is pixi mini and pixi evo funnily enough we know about the pixi mini being in the op and all...

Incorrect, there are some still available, just not many around as I guess people are buying them. There was stock in my local store last night, but they have gone and the nearest to me that now has stock is 60 miles away.

Pixi didn’t have the extendable legs. Still available for around £15

HALF PRICE!! Manfrotto 190GO! Aluminium Tripod with a Half Price 494RC2 Mini Ball Head £99 delivered at Jessops

Well, testing myself (which of course I've done - got to know your equipment), I clock in at around 9.2s to extend my clip tripod, and 9.7s to extend my twistlock one. It's a tiny bit slower (at this point, at least - things will speed up as I grow more accustomed to the device), but I'm okay with that because the twists feel nicer on the hand than clips do on the fingertips. Not sure what you mean about 'indeterminate to unlock and tighten', btw. Maybe you should try actually using the thing you're talking about, rather than just hazarding a guess.

I guess yeah you can't see visually if the twists are locked or not. It's a personal thing but in cold weather and a rush I find the twists easier on the hands and fingers and can do them all in one go. It's gonna be a marmite thing but the tripod itself and its versatility is a bonus.

bit confused here, do you not need to tighten them all up separately? on my tripod i can undo all levers at once as well. then when open i move hand down the leg in a straight line squeezing each lever without having to twist etc just know that with twist lock id forget to tighten one as cant immediately see which is tight or not

Don't let @toaster see this (popcorn) :D

Personally I've had a manfrotto with levers for the last year and found it more time consuming outdoors when you're struggling with elements etc. This new twist lock seems a lot easier as when bringing the legs down you can untwist all three points at once with your hand, bit of a time saver for me and feels easier, especially with cold hands 👐

OOS again :(

Missed this the first time around and just ordered one this afternoon and just got dispatch notice, very happy, thanks op

Ordered one last night came today! Amazing quality. I truly recommend it. Dont risk your expensive gear with a cheap tripod get one of these. Came with a free pan and tilt head. Superb service from Jessops.

Got one thanks

Regarding the weight, discussed earlier. It's definitely no light weight, but I had it out today strapped to my backpack with camera and 3 lenses. I knew I was carrying something extra, but it wasn't anything over the top. Plus, the extra stability was much appreciated on top of some very windy fells.

Manfrotto 190 GO! Aluminium 4 Section Tripod - Grey £74.50 - Amazon

A tripod. model: MT190GOA4TD

Take a look at carbon/magnesium Manfrotto 290. It comes with the head.

this deal which is now out of stock id not expect this amazon deal to last much longer as they were probably just matching the jessops deal (badly)

From Jessops site - 4 section. Also product photos are identical

EDIT: I am WRONG! The Jessops deal is for the SAME tripod. (embarrassed)

Cold. Earlier post has this from Jessops with a free head for that price. A much better deal.

Same thing at Park Camera for 135.

Does this have a 90 degree column system? IE can you shoot overhead shots? Also would this be of better value to the 190 Go! ? I don't mind paying the extra price, but if I don't need to I'd prefer not to. I need a tripod that is lightweight and portable, best bang for my buck, that can shoot overhead shots.

If memory serves the 055 can hold more weight and can extend higher. I believe if you are over 6 feet then 055 is better. There is a tripod chooser thingy on manfrotto website. The 055 is more and doesn’t come with a head (another £80-£120 on top I think). Hope this helps.

how is it compere to 055 series ?

Only if it takes a 58mm filter :p

This set is for Nikon, apparently!

Some of my action locations are sometimes prone to a little lens 'feedback' ...obviously for weddings etc, I consider removing the filter (cheeky)

Oh and lenses have many elements, one thin extra *soecifically designed to be clear* lens on the front makes less difference to images than pros can see, so its exaggeration to say it decreases image quality

Absolute baloney every professional photographer I know recommends using a lens protector and there are endless examples of lenses being saved a worse fate by using such.. Front elements vary and some are known to be very breakable with a light tap you’re talking rubbish I would recommend a specific clear protector like the Hoya Pro1 but there are cheaper from £4, which is a lot less than most lenses cost !
