Definitely agree with the single player. Half the fun was unlocking things, but with them all unlocked the game felt pointless... Great for multiplayer though!
Thanks for the post.

Strangely I couldn’t order Zelda as click and collect so had to pay for delivery but I will try and get that back from Tesco as it seemed it was a bug. Zelda appeared to be bugged yesterday as it wasn’t showing as an item sold by Tesco, I reported it to them and it’s back in stock purchasable from Tesco. Order quick as Id been checking for days to get this!

I managed to order the switch with Zelda on Thursday and collected it yesterday (click and collect with no extra charges). But Mario Kart was still out of stock then - annoyed its now back up today. Will be going in store today to see if I can pick up Mario Kart in the offer (which they should honour since it was a problem with their website) - noticed a few other people have managed to get this sorted in store!

But agree with the jest of what your saying, I don't really get what the Rabbids game is about either.MK8D was MK9 ? Or is that a debate too? Also agree MK8D has its many fans, but that it is divisive with the last 2 games and gone off track a bit, is understandable there is debate. I feel less excited about next MK game be it 9 or 10 , but maybe I can get a nice surprise.BTW, Zeek have a good voucher offer on ending today, £5 off for ever £50 spend x 6 times you can do it. Thinking of £300 Argos vouchers, plus an extra 6% of on top of that for Argos and the Quidco CB for Zeek. Might buy in anticipation of a future Switch console price drop at Argos, as a good way to acquire a 2nd Switch console.£49.99 has been the RRP from Nintendo. Has always easily been available at £44.99. Think there are less £39.99 options at moment as stock is low with Xmas just past.

Evident troll comment. This is the FIRST console since the N64 to change the game for me.

PS3/PS4 were graphical upgrades without any significant gameplay boost. The N64 + subsequent PS2 set the precedent there.

But this console has the magic I used to get on Christmas day with new consoles. The ability to play portable or in tabletop mode is HUGE. I mean HUGE for someone who is an adult and works/commutes. The ability to have a phenomenal console experience with some of the best exclusive titles ANYWHERE in the world is such a big draw for someone like myself.

Add in the refined and quite outstanding wireless controller + motion controls and a really really good rumble and you start to appreciate just why this console is booming.

Nintendo NEED to get this thing in people's hands and make them realise just how premium and nice of a device it is.

Lets not even think about the fact that GOTY is a two horse race between two Nintendo titles with no one else getting a look in.

Superb year from Nintendo and their most exciting console yet. I'm sceptical they have the resources to a drop a 3D Pokemon RPG next year but if they do, thats going to be GOTY too.

How annoying.

The console is ready to be collected but the games won't be in store to collect till tuesday or wednesday at the latest. According to tesco, the console was delivered by their courier, but the games are arriving in store by post which is going to take a bit longer.

So annoyed. I know its just one of them things but when its click and collect i expected it within in 2 days (allowing time for Christmas) but didn't expect some bits to arrive in store in by Royal Mail. Therefore not being their same time as console

Oh well never mind.....least i know now lol. Anyway, thought i would share incase anyone is in same situation

Yeah, I'm on my 3rd switch too.
Like I said, you'd have to be able to demonstrate a fault for game to give you a refund.
My first switch had the left joycon disconnection issue and my second switch had a noisy/clicky fan when it kicked in. So with both of those issues, I may have struggled to demonstrate them easily in the shop. The left joycon thing was intermittent, and the fan only kicked in when the system was on for at least an hour and was dealing with complicated graphics...eg Zelda.
I won't be using game again for hardware as they make things difficult refund wise.

The fault will need to be easy to demonstrate, and they will need to phone up a call centre for authorisation. That process could mean that you are standing in the shop waiting for them to get authorisation for anything between 10 minutes and half an hour. There doesn't seem to be any way of contacting a human in their head office to complain either. They are a bad company for customer service. Personally for games hardware, I'd go with Amazon, Argos, Tesco, Sainsburys. At least you have a decent chance of returning stuff reasonably quickly if it goes wrong.

E.g the escapists price variation for mobile and console. Will admit that the Amiibos are flawed, and shouldn't have serious DLC like content locked behind them. Or at least an alternative like a dlc payment without having to by figures. But I was mainly thinking about games like FIFA and COD and the rise in Micro transactions in AAA games. Take note of Star Wars battlefront for an example, they had DLCs (obviously to make a profit but probably the game by itself wouldn't have turned over a huge profit due to dev costs). People didn't like there excessive DLCs, so enter the 2nd instalment with the alternative micro transactions. They can't charge more than £50 for a game or else t will sell poorly, so they have to find alternatives to actually profit from the game.Tomb raider sold i think about 3.4 million but was considered a commercial failure due to Dec costs. 3.4 million!!80% of AAA developers went out of business due to high developments costs during the 7th console gen era.

80% of went out of business? This does not seem accurate especially given the number and variety of games we are seeing this year. Admittedly the stakes are higher as a bad game or two can kill a smaller studio. Equally a publisher pulling out early can do the same(see Microsoft nearly ending Platinum). Square Enix always sets unrealistic targets did they ever release the actual dev cost of the Tombraider reboot?

Ninja Theory have shown with Hellblade what can be achieved without breaking the bank. Hopefully we'll see more games along the lines of Uncharted Lost Legacy as well. Shorter, cheaper games but still with very high production values.

Personally I like where it's going for multiplayer games. Season passes etc are disappearing and being replaced with cosmetic micro-transactions. The developer gets a longer term revenue stream and the game lasts longer as the player population isn't split. If people want to support the game past the purchase price they can do so by buying skins everyone else gets all the extra content that matters at no additional cost.
I'm desperate to play this, but I don't have a switch, which I think is a major issue.

Even the Wii U is still very expensive

The mobile market isn't exactly graphics driven and that basically exists because of microtransactions. Companies locking down modding to protect their microtransaction revenue will cause more harm to innovation than rising production costs for AAA titles. Nintendo even went one better and started locking difficulty levels behind amibos. Not so bad though between the likes of kickstarter and early access we have more indie games than ever before.

If I'd dismissed this for blue colour and the minus next to the number, I'd have paid about £80 more for my order. Genuine thanks for taking the hit. Genuine thanks also from both my family and myself.
Thanks dognobs, mine arrived today, 10 days early .. was a great deal you posted, dunno why people keep giving cold votes to Very deals, I had no issues at all, in fact only ones to offer me credit due to my low credit rating...
