I must be dense... Really don't know what you're talking about. It's just a deal you can access and that saves you money. That's why it's here. It's not a "patriotic thing". Feel you lot are a bit too salty lately over other current stuff

Peew971

Also a good deal but some people like myself only buy digital. Preferences.

Found Mario Kart for £33 rather than £50 in the UK, so it's alright.

Picked up a second hand Wii U a few months ago and don't regret it for a second. Console for peanuts and amazing AAA titles for next to nothing.

I don't know why anyone bothers with smartphones when we have perfectly good landlines!

The_Heroic_Hulk

Ice cold. Also suggesting a switch isn’t better than this is ridiculous.

Haircut_100

This deal makes no sense. I have no idea what that random £171 means.

Johnny_boy

The switch is vastly superior. Very happy with my purchase. Plus you are missing some absolute gems if you decide this over a switch.

skdotcom

Its not the same . You bought from an Italian website using your correct details, nothing fraudulent about that.

skdotcom

You are misrepresenting by setting up an ebay account with a false address. You are naive to think that ebay couldn't threaten legal action, but whether they would is another thing. Doesn't change the fact it is fraud.

romeroe

ebay could put an end to this by simply saying that an amazon.AU discount code is only valid for AU addresses and so on. The fact they don't they clearly dont have that much of a problem with it. It is no different to when I bought my WiiU from amazon.IT because it was significantly cheaper. We live in an international world, despite brexit... its like people are upset when someone gets a decent deal. For whatever it was worth for those that bought this deal had they waited one more day for the 15% UK code they might have got a better deal. Such is life.

Apparently in summer 2018, wherever they got that from we know it's not true (lol) But yes, I really want a Mario Kart 9!

dodoegg1

Worth it. And when you've exhausted the tracks on it I recommend then buying the complete DLC for about a tenner more. Well worth it. Is there any news on whether Mario Kart 9 will be released? The Switch needs its own version rather than a port of this game.

cptdrank

All depends on stock levels. Either way, it’s cheap and has a 2 year warranty. Can’t lose.

I got a discounted wii u a few weeks ago and other than having no box it was near mint and had mariokart 8 on it They wouldn't buy a phone I had because of a tiny crack in the screen surround or a camera lens which had a bit of dust in it (perfectly normal for a dslr lens) so they are fussy on what they take.

Powzer

have you read the terms of the 2 year warranty? to be completely honest i don't know why you decided to be passive aggressive with me in the first place here. go to your nearest cex, look at the items that are labelled boxed/unboxed and then the exact same thing that is discounted and see the differences for yourself. in fact my brother just bought a discounted xbox one controller 2 weeks ago and took it back the next day because the buttons were sticking down once pressed. are you telling me that is perfectly working? coz i dont think so :)

haydnwilliams

I was in the same boat (lol) (lol) but hey, gameplay beats all right!? I'm jealous of the mario edition....

I saw on eBay; Zelda Wind Waker HD digital for £9.7x from Music Magpie. Seemed good

starsi360

Yeah okay mate, so this is the process is it; CeX test an item and decide it is 'nearly broke' so rather than reject it, they categorise it as 'discounted', and buy it from the person selling DESPITE knowing that it's 'nearly broke'. They then sell this 'nearly broke' item with a 2 year warranty. (lol)

I care for the sake of other people’s boredom and sanity enough to comment on your post. On behalf of the human race: nobody cares.

sandueugen92

Yes, but the wii u remote can be used to play the game in hand held, portable mode, as long as you are close to the console, as for when you play on the TV.. the remote screen becomes just a gimmick, displaying the menu, map, inventory, which is interesting, but since you can get to the menu/map/inventory with the press of a button, you may end up never looking at the remote screen, or just using a wii u pro controller.

CaptainCheapestcheap

I'm actually quite disappointed by Mario Odessey. Dare I say it, Mario Sunshine disappointed (still like it). Having 60 trillion moons to collect really feela grindy to me instead of fun. I even bought 30 in one of the stores today, WHY!? Its not fun having to buy these over and over again. I much prefer the 120(ish) stars idea than having so many they all feel meaningless Just one guys opinion

slacey1070

It doesn't really bother me, but, yes, I don't see why they unlocked all the tracks. I don't see what that achieved.

Drago_MkII

So you don't like it because it had non mario tracks and characters in the dlc? Paying full whack for it again is a bit much if you had it on wii u already, sure but its a fantastic package for anyone who never owned it. I know I wasn't willing to shell out £40 again, I used a code to get it for 25 from very and only really because I had a switch with no games until splatoon was out. Having said that its absolutely great being able to take it anywhere, break off the joycons and have a round of MK with folk. Personally I really think its the best I've played since mk64 which is my all time favourite. Especially the redone music on the classic tracks is awesome

noahsdad

MK8 Wii U (v.1) was updated to v.2 with the 50% extra tracks/characters and a 200cc mode maybe but honestly can't remember as it is so crap, and it generally trashed the MK8 franchise by messing about with it in silly ways with other game stuff making it more like Nintendo Characters Kart. v.3 of course is a just a fix of something things that were seriously wrong in v.1, yet for a game that is trying to fix previous mistakes it introduces new ones like no GP challenge to unlock cups. Ver.3 is not really a proper new game in the slightest, just because it is on a newer console. It should have been a £10 download for anyone who had bought v.1. I honestly would not be surprised if there was a MK8 v.4, as the game is so many miles away from being a brilliant game, it could do with a bit of work. Some people will have spent close to £100 on MK8. v.1 say £40 v.2 say £12 v.3 say £45 That can't be right? That can't be good. That is not what we expect from Nintendo is it? Or is it now what we expect? Is that what people want and are satisfied.

Haircut_100

I think another one of the reasons it didn't take off was that Nintendo was too stupid to to realise that it needed to bring its big guns to the Wii U (new Metroid, F-Zero, 1080, Pilotwings, Zelda). To launch a new console when you have that arsenal of beloved intellectual property at your disposal and not use it is just suicidal. The fact that out of those franchises to only one that made it to the Wii U with a new game was Zelda, which finally came as the last game by them on the system, released long after the horse has bolted, speaks volumes for the negligence and lack of understanding from those running Nintendo. Because if you put out say an exclusive Metroid game fairly early in the console's life you give people a real reason to actually buy the system.

jayr_08_

The console never had big AAA physical games that's the reason it didn't take off.

ace_rees

Yeah I agree with that - I think they agree that the Wii U was not a success. However it does seem to work as a concept but as you said earlier the price (when it was new) was off putting. It’s the same with the switch.

oshybky

The Wii U sucked so much

SUPERCOOLWILLOW

i have a wii u & freaking love it the tablet is the best idea EVER!!! as it means you can play a game while people are watching tv & thats just what il be doing the same with the switch when the price & bundles gets better (i know the switch is portable but il never take it out the house) so to me its just a nicer more fancy wii u which i love & adore
