I’ve referred a friend now so managed to add their £15 code to the order but I still haven’t received my referral code off...hmm.

You should get £30 for referral, I did or I can send you one

How do you use the £30 via refer a friend. Your friend has to have spent £150 before you get the £15. Also you won’t be able to use your friend £15 code towards the one purchase, this pump.

Excellent find!

That's crazy cheap, had been looking for a pump, guessing this will be store specific with the manual reduction stickers, could be wrong

If anyone manages to get one or any other maternity stuff I’d be willing to pay for postage. Nothing like this in London ;(

Irvine rivergate: only one but there were shelves upon shelves of reductions; got some cheap razers and medela nipple shields down fro £9 to £1.50.

Okay, so it's not something that you often see me post, but it's a great price for what it is and well reviewed too. Amazon have matched it, but they don't have stock until mid nex… Read more

Agree it is a hugely emotive topic but with respect breasts are magic and it is exactly that stimulation that does make you produce more milk! Its the same way Mums can produce enough milk for twins and more milk as the baby gets older. And likewise if there is less demand either because top up feeds are being given or Mum is too sore to feed regularly then the supply dwindles and that can be a vicious circle. Its supply and demand. Only a few mothers have insufficient supply initially to feed their babies. What we do have is a society which has an insufficient supply of support for Mum's who want to breastfeed and many well meaning actions can be counter productive. Mums don't get enough experience watching breasfeeding and hearing experiences of other women, the good the bad and the ugly. Makes it very very difficult to do and indeed heartbreaking if you have your heart set on breastfeeding and you can't or you have a baby that 'doesn't get it'. The previous poster wants tips on how to support his wife to breastfeed hence advice given. Totally respect Mums who don't want to breastfeed or find it is not for them and better to stop as they go along. Once things do go wrong sometimes it is better to stop but best of all be ready to try and stop it going wrong and not inadvertently scupper things with top up feeds.

It's not TMI at all, it's just breastfeeding is made out to be the be all and end all of baby feeding and mums are made to feel bad for either choosing not to, or not being able to. If you're set on breastfeeding and then can't for some reason, you need bottles ready to go. If you're giving baby everything you have and then a top up feed, a breast pump isn't going to magically make you produce more, for expressing yes you need to maximise the demand to keep the supply up, but it's not a magic milk maker if your body isn't producing enough.

Top up feeds only reduce the stimulation to Mum to produce milk so encourage supply to dwindle further. Best support is to help with all the tiring bits around the feeding, like the changing and winding so Mum can spend as much time with baby getting the stimulation and or asleep to conserve energy. An electric pump or expressing can be helpful at the start as it results in less damage if Mum's or the baby's technique is not great. Sorry if TMI. But you need to use it as often if not moreso than you would be feeding the baby to get that stimulation.

Goes well with the medelo

Bottles are always something you can get if you need at the time. Better to look for deals on snacks, pillows and streaming sites in my experience lol! Good luck!

If you're in the market for a breast pump and are looking to get this particular brand/model then this is the lowest price it's been. I'm no expert in breast pumps so have copied… Read more

If you can go all out, I would recommend renting the hospital grade Medela Symphony. It's a free standing model but it is quiet and frankly, amazing. This is what I used while in the hospital. The portable machine was no match for it. The one I borrowed was this one. It was noisier, but not to the point it was offputting. The Medela Swing sounded like a lawnmower. This was more like a manual balloon air pump.¤cy=GBP¬ax=1/&gclid=CjwKCAiAzNj9BRBDEiwAPsL0d2aASvVGaMCL7xD9erHRSMREDblXmuD4vbNDOat9sfoXoHXhI8stERoC8WYQAvD_BwE

Which machine did you use in the hospital? I am looking to get one which is good value. Thanks!

I ordered this and hated it. It was so noisy and offputting. Wish I had done my research better and bought the same model as the one the hospital loaned me while my daughter was in NICU. Ironically would have been cheaper too.

i have a brand new manual one if anyone wants one :) we ended up with 2!

Can men who identify as women use this? 🤭
