At sainsbury's

Actually that was the one thing I liked The story was the greatest offence imho

dumbest thing i've ever read. not exaggerating either.

Or gameplay.

Hah, no. The definitive experience is just the Ground Zeroes + MGS V + some DLC skins and weapons.

Definitive experience? So they actually put an ending in this time? O_o

Brilliant game

Good deal for those who don't do humble monthly.

I have waited 4 years for this game to have a decent price. I am still waiting! Joking. Amazing deal. Heat from me.

Wow, that's a lot of game for the price. I loved it personally, the overall game mechanics are second to none and I think I'm one of the few who dug the story and listened to all the cassettes.

never played any MGS game before but less than £3 is a good reason to start!

Cra*p. I just spent double this for MGS V on PS4. 🤪

A lot of game for less than £3... Heat added thanks.

Ahh makes sense .... my bad !

It's second-hand.

Im more shocked that you can get a day 1 edition multiple years after release, makes a mockety of having a day 1 edition.

Bought this to save myself the download next time I feel like playing and don't want to wait for the DL from the free version that came with GWG

Was free GWG a few months back, still worth it at this price 👌

Mind you Ground Zeroes it just a one short level, sort of intro, to MGS5: Phantom Pain. If you want to dive in into real game get Phantom Pain. Its currently £3 on Its not a perfect game (especially for MGS fan) but for £3 is a much better deal than Ground Zeroes.

Wow this will get hot...heat...not played MGS since the PS1 lol might pick it up.

not bad price. was a bit disappointed when I paid £15 for it a few weeks after launch and it only lasted about 45 mins of gameplay

I had a subscriptions since the first Humble monthly bundle and I'm glad I canceled it before December. The games are getting older and including loot boxes is a new low in my opinion.

And if you half-like it? ;)

If you're on a multi-month subscription and don't like the look of the early reveals you can pause it and skip a month:

wow - glad I never got last months, the unlocks were truly dire. Is this the first monthly to go cold?

It's still 8+ games for around a tenner.

Nice price for a okish MGS

I would be weary of using them - they seem to be having issues(looking on Twitter) and I never received my key for another game. CS is worse than useless.

I posted this as a deal when it was £2.99 last week, and it got deleted very soon after, as being a 'duplicate' of a £3.49 deal posted the week before. Oh well.

Good game, I got it on PS4 and forgot it was all about stealth then wondered why I was getting crap ratings after missions. Seems a huge game so plenty value for the price

Great game! Really enjoyed it. Quite unique in that the ai adapts to yoir style eg if you go in sniper style they begin to wear helmets etc

Has anyone else had trouble trying to load Ground Zeros?

Posted a deal for this at the lower price of £2.99, just had a message to say it was removed because it "has already been posted" with this thread. Sigh.

It didn't look worth it to me I just bought this and later decided to get ground zero for £2. The definitive version just looked like it had a few extra skins and emotes.

Is the Definitive version worth £7.99?

ground zeroes only £1.99 as well... i have mgs5 so not sure if it is worth it. you can transfer stuff over from one game to the other but then that will mean starting mgs 5 again i guess

Nice spot! Had almost given up on them adding this! Bought it digitally back in 2013. I think Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Mark of the Ninja are now the only 360 games I own digitally that are yet to get the backward compatibility treatment.

i got it on ebay a few years ago for less than a tenner

Peace Walker was never in the digital collection as far as I know - it comes with the disc version.

What the hell, since this has been BC'd Peace Walker isn't in the digital collection?

i bought it for £10, no need to lie about the price of a game.....

Went to check to buy it, seems i purchased the bundle back in 2013. Bargain!

Backed up how? Say so :/

Where did I say Cex knew this before Microsoft? Cex can update the price whenever they want, they don't need to wait for an overnight update on their system or whatever. As soon as it got announced ad BC, Cex pretty much upped the price straight away. They did this with Prince of Persia 2008 as well. It was 75p before being announced and then on the same day rose to £2.50. Not as big an increase as MGS or MW2 but an increase nonetheless. Same thing happened with Splinter Cell. And Tomb Raider. And GTAIV. And every other popular 360 game before them. It's common knowledge amongst gamers that MS announce BC games every Tuesday at 5pm. I'm pretty sure staff at Cex follow these announcements closely so they can update their prices accordingly. I really don't know why you're trying so hard to claim people are lying when another poster has already backed up what I said in that he managed to pick up a copy of the game cheaper just a few days ago. Let it go.

The Xbox live version doesn't include peacewalker, that's a separate download @ £13. Very tempted by this, played about an hour of MGS 2 on the ps2 a while back and couldn't get on with it, controls were atrocious, the Xbox port improve them at all?

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes PS4 - £2.49 on PSN Store
Found 4th Oct 2018Found 4th Oct 2018
Just spotted this on the PSN Store for the full game. This price is only available from 3/10/2018 01:00 am to 17/10/2018 11:59 pm.

Worth it at this price but please be aware this is pretty much just a paid demo for the Phantom Pain. Which is a much better game than most people say.

Bargain at this price. - Yeah its short but as others have said already there is a lot of replay value to get extra stuff. Also playing this unlocks extra stuff for the phantom pain. Phantom Pain for me is still the best PS4 game ive played. - Shame they wont be making anymore.

Worth £2.49 in my book. If you're the type to just run through the main level in 10 minutes and ignore the other missions then it's not for you. But if you try to do all the challenges etc there is a lot of enjoyable time can be spent in this game. I do think it would be great if you could go to this site in TPP (if you have GZ) with all the gear from TPP

A demo (horror)

And yet, not one single base is as intricate or detailed, or has as much stuff to do as the Camp Omega base in this game. Kojima ran out of ideas for TPP. I agree that TPP is a bigger game, but it's a very dull and empty open world and the shanty towns dotted about don't really offer the stealth required in GZ or even past MGS games.

£2.49 here It does sometimes fall lower than that too (y)

Showing as £11.66 now, dammit was too late!

The gameplay mechanics were amazing. Brought me right back to proper dodge hack n slash like Ninja Gaiden and the original DMC.

Just some sections of the game amaze me as a super ninja cyborg should be able to take out a human with a scalpel without collateral damage.

More like the company selling any software should only take money for how many keys they have.

When you buy a code for any software, you should redeem it as soon as you can.

hmmm. Bought this the other day and just come to use it but... ATTENTION: We have run out of Steam keys for METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN. We are getting more ASAP. We will have Steam keys for you as soon as they are available again!

We can argue that the true MGS was the one on PS1 and nothing after come close. Or we can go deeper into the rabbit hole and say that original 2D Metal Gear from 1987 was the one. Well, its matter of perspective, I guess and age most probably (nostalgia). Either way I think its a great game (at least first half) where you can get that Kojima feeling. Bottom line: Is the game perfect - no. Is it worth 4 quid? Absolutely!
