Does anyone have any idea what trips cost once out there? Trips to see the islands and wildlife etc.

£3,750 and nothing to pay for parking (lol)

Aitutaki was amazing and I've got you to thank for the amazing deal which might never have happened otherwise (angel)

Oh crikey I was just looking at pics from Aitutaki the other day. It was after I saw a traveller article somewhere that was raving about the top beaches in the world. I thought clearly this person has never been to Aitutaki and one foot island!

Outstanding deal again Rachel, I'm still buzzing from your Cook Island deal. Keep them coming (highfive)

Yes bali and turkey are safer than your Mexico

You are completely misinformed. I am British and am writing this from Mexico City right now. It is true that places in the North and West of the country are not 100% safe, but Cancun/Play del Carmen/Rivieri Maya are fine, as is the capital city. Are you seriously saying that Bali, Morocco and Turkey are safer? Would that be the same Bali where a few hundred (mostly Australian) tourists got blown up a few years ago? Would it be the same Morocco where a bomb went off in a Marrakesh marketplace? The one where a tourist got beheaded last year? Would it be the same Turkey where people showed up to the country's main airport with AK47s and suicide belts in 2016 and killed 45 people?

Fantastic post by the way OP.... I would book if I wasn't ill right now :(

For Cheap flights and Family holidays check out my facebook page Mrs Memorymaker <3

Mexico in general is not safe that is true, but the tourist areas are sectioned from the rest of the country and are subject to much stricter controls. You cannot compare Cancun to mexico city... As others have said, it is barely Mexican at all, the hotels are certainly American, just that they pay less tax I am sure. I stayed in Xcaret Occidental and I would highly recommend it to anyone, you dont even need to leav the extensive hotel grounds/marine life park if you don't want to. Mojitos before Midday, I can taste the Mint right now! :D

Thanks for this, great deal, I have booked! I paid £2207 for 2 adults, 1 child & 1 infant. This also includes an upgrade to a jnr suite as they look like they have a bit more room for the kids! Worked out at £735 per adult/child. Very happy with that!

Your saving £60 this way

I loved it last year, it was so much fun, no problems with drunks at all. Plenty of places to get away from people. Love the Pacific Mexico, so rustic and real. They are closing in August to refurb so I’m def going back in 2020

I've been here too - noisy because it's full of people drinking themselves stupid and the bad design means noise echoes along the corridors. OK for drunks.

Decent price

Some grounded TUI flights here although for a different reason

This, They haven't done or failed this. I guess failed as TUI Belgium and TUI Germany have passed. Apart from jet 2 every other airline in this county has passed. It doesn't mean they are awful. But as I said I'm a nervous flyer and want to make sure standards are at the top, ruling out some potential issues is nice. But also yes, TUI have the Boeing max 8, so yes I see grounded TUI planes.

I lived in Mexico ! People go to Vegas for 5 night . I also travel to Mexico regularly or the Caribbean. And we sometimes do 7 nights and have no problems. Personally wouldn’t go to the Pacific side as it’s cooler plus I don’t enjoy the dark ocean, would rather be in the Caribbean. Still a great deal though .

That's fake news

Isn't Puerto Vallarta full of Mexicans at this time of year?Just what a friend told me?

I met an American recently who travels into Mexico regularly for his work. We got talking about tourist safety in Mexico and he basically said its safe enough if you stay within the zona Hotelera but whenever he needs to go out and about he does so with a security detail, which he said ironically actually makes him far more of an interesting prospect for kidnapping etc

I really hate the "tourist" whitewashing of what's going on in Mexico. "Most of mexico is no more dangerous than most places" Mexico has horrendous problems with and cartel violence with 5 of the 6 most violent cities in the world. Yes, it is true that the tourists are protected some degree - they bring in a lot of money after all (have you considered where that money goes?), but to act like their is no problem is insulting to the people who have to live with the corruption and violence daily. Lot's of people chose to vacation in areas with human rights issues but they mostly do so with their eyes open.

Got a late deal like this last May, think we paid just over 1600 for the 4 of us. Stayed at the RUI Vallarta all inc. Kids still go on about the Strawberry Dacquaris (sin alcohol but do check before you hand it over) Got stung for the exit tax but no seats together on plane and we had the kids so we ended up in premium cabin. If you like a gamble you can get some cracking late deals with TUI. Only thing about this side of Mexico, the beaches aren't as nice as the Caribbean side but for this price who cares!

You do get visa on arrival - they usually give you 180 days, unless immigration officer had a bad day and he doesn't like your face 8) . And TUI is possibly the only one company in UK that doesn't incorporate Mexican Tourist Tax into flight price, so you have to keep that in mind to calculate actual flight cost. That's why they look very closely at your landing card at departure.

We ended up here last May after looking for a last min break in the med. Literally paid peanuts to stay in the Riu Vallarta. The kicker was when we got to Manc and the girl on check in says they only have premium seats left - oh no we said....

Haha, a lot of countries and states do it now.

Need to pay to leave the country.....not a good sign ! (lol)

You don't need a Visa - You just need to pay an exit fee which is around £60.

Walkers Sensations Mexico City Street Mix 15p instore @ Tesco
15p at Tescos

Also please add which store as it’s unlikely it’s national. Saves the goose chase

If they were advertised as £2.50 instore but went through at 15p that would be a glitch, but as they are advertised at 15p instore and they went through at 15p it isn't a glitch.

Thanks @nhall and welcome to hotukdeals. I removed the word 'glitch' from the title as this isn't a 'glitch'. A glitch is something like adding two items to your basket and it knocks 90% off the total cost. As these are available at 15p and you pay 15p that is the price Tesco are asking and you are paying.

I have a 5.00 north america wallet top up code if anyone wants to buy it off me which I can't get to work due to region as I don't want to set up another user account.

Ive checked an old thread on here from January and found the following method; 1.Setup a second Nintendo user/account for your switch using a spare email account 2. Setup a new PayPal account using that email with location of Mexico and use the embassy as your address/phone number. 3.I was able to use two methods to add funds, my AIB debit card or sending money from my Irish PayPal account. There was only a few cent difference and compared to there was about 5% surcharge ie. Celeste cost €16.18 as opposed to €15.40. 4.If you want to use another region that won't work with revolut simply change the Nintendo account to that location and create a new PayPal account for that region. Credit to britshickhouse 27.01.18 The key step here is the Mexico embassy address as this region requires a 'real' Mexico address.

Not working with Revolut, or linking Revolut to PayPal. Very frustrating!

Also got nowhere when came to purchasing in revolut card. My kid got Splatoon 2 wants me to buy the day octo expansion but now also worried may not work as got physical game in UK. If got the dlcbin south Africa or Mexico online. Any advice if that's an extra concern

Would also like to know about paying . Revolut card Def does not work

(lol) I would just delete the card details totally and then re-add it. I went through it multiple times before it worked but my issue was that I want authorising the card using the code. Its worth it, some good savings! I think it also let's u buy from USA eshop but not tried that yet

I didn’t, but I’m now wondering if I should a) amend my address, b) create a new account, or c) just leave it and avoid being extradited to Mexico (lol) That makes sense though; they’re obviously wondering (via some sort of automatic trigger) why my home address and billing are different.

Sorry I did say that but I remembered it wrongly until I re-read the guide. Sorry! Did u get it working? So many games on sale :)

Yep, that all worked ok. It must’ve been the part where you said you used a Mexican hotel for the address. I think I used the embassy address, as someone had mentioned using it on another thread.

I think u need to use your normal billing address upto country/region and enter Mexico there and then a Mexican post code like this The part I've blanked out is just my house and Street in UK
