Depends often they give you at least a couple of months free but you do need to share and the standard is very basic....

VeganNatty

Flew with them last month to Abu, was ok but other airlines was better Pros: Lots of leg room, im 5'8 (173cm) and there was plenty enough of leg room, food served straight away onboard, refreshments/water/etc. came once every 2 hours ish. Cons: The meal was just a light meal, only the main meal which was around 300g and a small roll and a drink of choice. No extra drinks with the meal but you can ask for water, etc. Just bring extra food and drinks onboard if a small meal isn't enough, I brought along a boots meal deal and that was enough.

As dogpatch has said, it could be the tourism tax. Else some hotels do this if you are running a tab rather than paying as you go

dogpatch

Or, you may be talking about the tourism tax which is charged per room per night. The last time I looked it was about £4 a night

On a serious not, I've just returned from Abu Dhabi and flew with Etihad. Good Airline, however on the return the flight was overbooked. I've never seen this on the Manchester flight before, it must have been due to the mass exodus for Ramadan.

Not sure what being treated like a "Western Dog" would be? I've found that in pretty much all of the 60+ countries I've been to, people on the whole, treat you the way that you treat them. If that doesn't work, then reciprocate and they get the message pretty quickly.... :{

Buying on an Argentinian store is actually pointless now. I was going to buy Override: Mech City Brawl - Super Charged Mega Edition £14.99 in UK and £8.95 in Argentina, you go to buy the gift card to cover the £8.95, which actually cost £17.90, making the game £2.91 more expensive for a supposed £6.04 Less.

foz007

Personally I don’t think there are far better deals out there. The same deal I priced up on the Expedia with the money off came to £914 this included return private transfer. On travel republic it was £1080 no transfers so roughly £1120 so a big saving for same hotel. Once priced up with same flights on emirates came to £1146 on travel republic. So over £200 saving which is effectively the discount. Great deal in in my opinion.

I went In December to Amman from Edinburgh via Krakow and it was about 130 quid with priority. Flew to Krakow on Sunday afternoon then Amman the next day. Then back the following Monday both flights on same day with a few hours layover. Obviously it's a bit risky if there is long delays or cancellations since they aren't connected flights.

No one really irs to Dubai in June. It’s too hot

ryhui

Isn't Sofia in Bulgaria? Why are people talking about Turkey?

Ulster1

Cold. Worst airline I have ever flown with and will surely go bust in the near future. Check the reviews on trust pilot. The business model is unsustainable. They offer cheap flights then make the money off you every step of the way through the check in / departure / boarding process. Leg room is absolutely diabolical if you are 6ft +.

Uranus

Do yourselves a favour. If you decide to visit Dubai, don't use Wizzair. They are an awful airline. It is worth paying extra to fly on a premium airline that gives you proper hold luggage and meals etc I mean Dubai isn't a cheap destination as it is, so since you'll likely be paying a good amount of money for your holiday, may as well pay for convenience and comfort during your flights.

Uranus

Nonsense. You can eat and drink in Dubai all year round.

Puts my £110 flights with albeit manky Ukraine International Airlines into prespective. Not direct. You can find reasonable hotel for £200 a week and do not have to eat in expensive joints on a regular. Nice place, there is a lot more to UAE then Dubai thats for sure. Stunning place away from this city.

MusicmanJP

Ugly, hollow city built by slaves on a culture of oppression. There is nothing to be seen here.

ozzyp

Spent a couple of weeks in dubai for a wedding and to visit family (for the first time) . Outside of the tourist / hotel life which will cocoon you from reality - this place is my literal version of hell on earth. Corrupt, seedy, sinful and obscene. Everything is about money there, and surprising alot of what you see is on credit (its not true wealth like abu dhabi). On a side note - I still haven’t got over the almost £200 i spent on the first night just buying burger, chips, a drink and some cake for four people from the Cheesecake Factory. But..i know a good deal when i see one so i vote hot for the comparative travel cost and wont let my judgement of the hellhole cloud it.

You must be kidding! Worst airline?? There's many others more deserving of that title. (ahem....Ryanair....)

IMO the worst airline, I've ever experienced. Neighbouring Airlines like Emirates and Qatar are much better. I may have had a bad flight from Abu Dhabi to Heathrow but haven't given a second chance since.

Once you have booked a ticket the easiest route is just google etihad upgrade bid. If you have booked a saver fare ( like most of us ) they are not automatically eligible hence the google route. On landing on that page you can 'check eligibility' by entering your booking reference and surname. That will then confirm you are eligible by 'upselling' your seat which incorporates an upsell cost in your bid ( you will not be charged anything unless your bid is successful )

dealerxxx

Isnt this the normal price

MaryamArshad

Sorry asking again where do you do bids?

tommytbone1

You still get access to the bid scheme when booking through agents. I'm an agent and recommend this to clients all the time with Etihad. Although it's almost always worth to just upgrade at the time of booking as its either the same price (but guatanteed) or cheaper. Best of both worlds. Heat by the way!

chigger1

If you travel in Economy with Etihad then their offering is appalling! Like you I have tried them a couple of times as they were competitive on price but have got fed up with the food, service, customer care and generally making the whole travelling experience a misery.

I had connecting flights in Vilinus coming back from Kiev to Liverpool, I cleared customs and was back on my second flight within 35 minutes only had 45 mins between landing and take off. Terminal 2 is arrivals, terminal 1 is departures. I had to clear customs twice as was coming from none EU country, bit had no issues. The flight was also two different airlines so not covered. I would take a chance on this.

sheffield788

Arrive at 11.25, depart at 13.55. So, 2.5 hours gap. Vilnius airport is small also more than likely you will have no luggage. By the time you pass border control (If you need too) you will have 2 hours left. Most of the airlines advise you to be at the airport 2-3 hours in advance. So, in normal circumstances you will have plenty of time. I had 1 hour gap in between flights at Brussels and it was sufficient. I had 3 hours gap flying to Denmark and connecting from Sweden, so changing the airport and the country, so again plenty of time. The only concern is Ryanair to leave on time from the UK.

Bestbitter

I might risk a one way flight with Ryanair, if it was cheap enough. But deffinitely not with a stop, and 90 minutes connection time. Far too much to go wrong with an unreliable airline. Possible sector ticketing, so maybe customs as well. Thanks, but no thanks!

markefc69

you have to go out and back in again with the low cost carriers, you usually have to buy 2 separate tickets. when you buy a ticket point to point you can just go to the connecting gate.

vaiopup

Never taken a connecting flight before so just curious. Does one have to go through security a second time or just go directly from gate to gate? Not planning on this trip ( though great deal). Would just like to know for reference.
