Seems like there's no bit holder in the proper one.

Sometimes the same Chinese factory will just run off unbranded copies from the exactly the same production line and throw them out onto the usual marketplaces. IP counts for diddly in China. Is completely unenforceable.

spannerzone

Yes possibly, or the copy is a very accurate copy... who knows.I got the Milwaukee and am impressed with the build quality, a handy thing to have in the tool box. I'd be amazed if Milwaukee hadn't trademarked that design even if they got another factory in China to make it for them and knowing who massive the counterfeit market is in China, I'd not trust something based on the looks... I can't be arsed.

I reckon less than £10 per Ah is always worth looking at. And just imagine what this would cost if it was Ryobi. Heat from me.

Not sure about the models. Also manufacturer's torque ratings are subjective, probably best as a loose guide or for comparing different models by the same manufacturer. I found the old Makita 18v impact had all the torque I ever needed. The main reason I moved to the 1/4 impact wrench was for the hand tight setting. Also I've found in my work I really only need higher torque for undoing/fastening bolts, M8/M10 as the biggest size. As soon as you add adapters you lower the max torque as far as I understand it. I can go from high enough torque undoing conveyor M8 bolts to opening/closing fairly flimsy plastic enclosures with one tool using the 1/4 hex adapter. I used to have to carry a Bosch 12v low torque screw gun as well. And although I mostly supervise now I can use it all day with a 6ah battery and not charge it for a week or more. I also bought the 1/2" 12v impact wrench which has the same low torque setting but double the max torque of the 1/4 if you need it. Apparently it'll do lug nuts as well and it's pretty small. I keep that in the van if I I think this with a 1/2" square drive to 1/4 hex adapter would give the most options for many tasks. Dewalt do a great adapter I've got on mine.

smala01

The 12v tools are so light that 99% of the time, its the tool i grab.

Zone B Destinations - Postage to N.I/Isle Of Man/Isle of Wight and rural areas of Scotland/Wales will be charged £9.59 for delivery. - They can do one.

Meridion_Bendo

They're not Miles apart, but because of the different Anvils they excel in their own purpose. I wouldn't use an impact driver with an adapter if your doing a fair bit of mechanic work. Or vice versa.

Try registering the tool and the batteries with Milwaukee website and if they're used they may have been registered on there. In any case gets you the extended warranty on the tool and batteries

johnstalvern

Looks like it went down in price.

zorbathegeek

You're right, it was the red lithium one. If you need the extra torque, definitely worth going with the fuel version.

johnstalvern

I think that is the cheaper non fuel model. Still not a bad deal for sure.

zorbathegeek

Not sure if it’s the same model but I went for the driver drill combo and 2 5ah batteries from screw fix. 250 quid I think.
