Has anyone managed to get a memory card to work in the G5? I have an English G5, and bought a Sandisk 128Gb class 10 A1 Card. I have formatted it in the phone and it's reported as corrupt. It's a common problem on the G5 and the G5S.
I'm hoping the Oreo update due soon will fix it. I've looked all over different forums for an answer, but have been unable to find one so far! Can anyone help?

What's so difficult to understand here?? G5S and G5S Plus, simple. This G5S phone is actually surprisingly fast & smooth,a decent performer when I tried one as is the camera too. Camera on this is better than the G5S Plus. Using the same SD430 CPU as Nokia 6 i found the Motorola much smoother

Only seems a few months since the G5 was released! They really need to slow down, they're already diluting/confusing their product line enough as it is
Just added the G5s to the basket and applied the code, still works. Not expired (the G5S Plus is oos though).

If anyone still wants to use this it seems to be ok....

I am looking to replace my old Moto G 2nd gen dual sim mobile but I'm used to having dual sims and a microSD card in my mobile so the idea of having to swap out one of the sims to allow use of a micro SD card is a real backward step for me.

indeed, you also cant swap the sim on the go either because you need a little pokey thing to poke the sim tray out, I guess you could attach it to your keys, but you shouldn't have to really, just a badly thought out design IMO.

Phone came as dual sim, excellent battery life.
I've read many website reviews and I think the feedback from HotUKDeals is that the price is quite reasonable.
Let's be honest this phone isn't going to be for everyone.

I've been using it for about a month now, and here are the issues I've had.

The finger print sensor doesn't always work first time but is still useable.
The 720p screen isn't the best for the size but once again is useable.
The camera is decent with the right exposure for a quick snap, but not exceptional.
And the overall performance isn't the fastest.

But for day to day use of messaging and calling and browsing the internet with some simple game usage it works perfectly.

To top this off the battery life is incredible, I couldn't go back to a smaller battery now, I can easily get two full days of useage and more with light useage.

I wanted to buy the P2 but it's not too easy to get, seems to be like an upgraded E4 plus with better screen and processor.
Edited by: "SammyNib" 28th Sep 2017
Not for me thanks, battery, good size, ram, healthy amount. camera, hmm, could be good. processor, no no no. way too slow and too less cores for that price.

If you choose Internal, things change. The device is formatted as a local, 128-bit AES encrypted EXT4 drive and mounted as part of the system every time you start your phone. It's then set as the preferred storage, and you're prompted to move data over.

You put your sd card in when setting it up and it merges the on-board …You put your sd card in when setting it up and it merges the on-board storage, so a 16gb phone and a 32gb card gets you 48gb. Obviously you need to factor in that you lose a bit from the os and apps already on the phone. When you save any apps, pics, etc it treats all the storage as one so you don't have to think about which apps can/should I move.It does encrypt the card so you can't just remove it to add music or take off pics if you want to, obviously to stop someone taking the card out and putting it in their phone and reading your paypal info, etc!

REFURBISHED WITH A 12 MONTH TESCO OUTLET WARRANTY
Only 1gb ram . Negative. Android need s 2gb
This might be a good price if it was a new handset and not a refurb. The performance of the E3 is absolutely terrible, it performs significantly worse than the Moto E 2nd Gen. I found it massively frustrating to use, the keyboard would often freeze for 30 seconds at a time, sometimes the phone was too slow to bring up the call answer screen before the call had finished ringing... It's bad.

If you are looking for a cheap Moto, look for a Moto G 2nd Gen or 3rd Gen, they have better cameras, higher quality screens, better audio, and significantly smoother performance.

Just got one of these earlier this week, after dropping and possibly bricking my current phone.

Anyway, decent handset... feels quite big in the hand, but seems to work fine so far.

I agree, had no issues with getting this phone either. I used the Moto E for a week or so whilst my Smart Ultra 6 was being repaired, I'm now back on the SU6 and oddly enough, I prefer the Moto E. The screen just seemed so much better, the camera isn't obviously as good but generally, I prefer the Moto E!
Lucky enough to get this at the £29 plus £10 top up! Now £50 probably still worth it, ideal first phone for kids! Had no problems getting it delivered free with Vodafone & dpd couriers, I've seen all the bad remarks about Vodafone but have to say they've been great!

This looks like 2nd gen from the specks not sure so check it out for your self..
still waiting on moto g 3rd gen to drop in price seems even moto g 4 is falling but the 3rd keeping at same price
The new Moto E3 is out now at Argos for £99.95, so Vodafone must have been selling off old stock of the E2, which I bought at £35, so I am surprised that it has gone back up to £50.

Dirt cheap smartphone 'wangle' for an low data users, or if you need a second phone; Tesco mobile now have an 'Extras' app, whereby if you download it you'll get an occasional ad … Read more
But won't these adds add up to your daily data allowance anyway!?

That's a bit like some other operator I tried a while ago. They give you 200MB free and free calls. Problem is calls go trough Voip so you use data to make the calls!!!

If the phone is free os still a good deal, if not I would prefer an ID Card with double data in a 30day rolling contract (200min/5000text/1GB)

OP posts a deal that is available NOW whereas you retort with a deal that was available god knows when.
What's your point?
I used to buy petrol at about 5p a litre.
Nowhere you can get that deal now in the UK so if you're going to vote cold at least give us the benefit of a better deal than the OP rather than vote cold with some useless comparison!
