myr4!/t_contract_length/1/sort/t_upfrontprice|t_recurring_charge|t_usg_data_desc/model/MOTMOTOE5GRE Direct link to above deal. It's the first plan at £13. I can't understand why this deal is cold!

it shows up on my work computer but not on my mobile

You are correct. It no longer shows the one month option, but it did last night when I ordered it! Clearly, this has been an error and CPW have rectified it I guess.

It shows all and 24 month options only. I dont see 12 or 1 options

You're not getting the option to filter by contract length like this?

Yes. CPW phones are all the same stock, whether it's sold as SIM Free, PAYG, or Contract.

So, if we choose the EE PAYG £120 option, is the XA1 still unlocked, so we can use any network on it? Amazon also have their exclusive dual SIM XA1 variant on offer for £130. Currys also doing SIM free for £130 like CPW's SIM free option.

Showing as £109.99 + £10 topup here for me :!colour=gold&capacity=32GB&dealType=pg I clicked on the link on this deal then scrolled down until I saw the XA1 in gold.

XA1 showing as £129.99?

Has anyone managed to get a memory card to work in the G5? I have an English G5, and bought a Sandisk 128Gb class 10 A1 Card. I have formatted it in the phone and it's reported as corrupt. It's a common problem on the G5 and the G5S. I'm hoping the Oreo update due soon will fix it. I've looked all over different forums for an answer, but have been unable to find one so far! Can anyone help?

Aren't these just the regular prices?

Yep UK charger. band 20? Means nothing to me soz!?

I missed out on this.. but it's the same price (more or less) at CCL:

What's so difficult to understand here?? G5S and G5S Plus, simple. This G5S phone is actually surprisingly fast & smooth,a decent performer when I tried one as is the camera too. Camera on this is better than the G5S Plus. Using the same SD430 CPU as Nokia 6 i found the Motorola much smoother

Only seems a few months since the G5 was released! They really need to slow down, they're already diluting/confusing their product line enough as it is (skeptical)

Just added the G5s to the basket and applied the code, still works. Not expired (the G5S Plus is oos though). If anyone still wants to use this it seems to be ok....

They will all start going out of stock and/or being sold off cheaply once the G6 series is released (about 5-6 weeks from launch).

indeed, you also cant swap the sim on the go either because you need a little pokey thing to poke the sim tray out, I guess you could attach it to your keys, but you shouldn't have to really, just a badly thought out design IMO.

Is yours 1 SIM card slot + 1 SD card slot Or 2 SIM card slot + 1 SD card a lot?

So I can have 2 sims as well as 1 sd card? So 3 things in total in the phone all at once?

Bought thanks!

Phone came as dual sim, excellent battery life.

I've read many website reviews and I think the feedback from HotUKDeals is that the price is quite reasonable.

Let's be honest this phone isn't going to be for everyone. I've been using it for about a month now, and here are the issues I've had. The finger print sensor doesn't always work first time but is still useable. The 720p screen isn't the best for the size but once again is useable. The camera is decent with the right exposure for a quick snap, but not exceptional. And the overall performance isn't the fastest. But for day to day use of messaging and calling and browsing the internet with some simple game usage it works perfectly. To top this off the battery life is incredible, I couldn't go back to a smaller battery now, I can easily get two full days of useage and more with light useage. I wanted to buy the P2 but it's not too easy to get, seems to be like an upgraded E4 plus with better screen and processor.

Not for me thanks, battery, good size, ram, healthy amount. camera, hmm, could be good. processor, no no no. way too slow and too less cores for that price.

If you choose Internal, things change. The device is formatted as a local, 128-bit AES encrypted EXT4 drive and mounted as part of the system every time you start your phone. It's then set as the preferred storage, and you're prompted to move data over.

Are you sure it encrypts the card, as Android doesn't even encrypt the internal storage unless you enable this and then it has to reboot and takes a while? I can imagine it might mark the card so that Android won't read it in another phone but the data may still be unencrypted and easily accessed from a PC or modded phone.

Only 1gb ram . Negative. Android need s 2gb

This might be a good price if it was a new handset and not a refurb. The performance of the E3 is absolutely terrible, it performs significantly worse than the Moto E 2nd Gen. I found it massively frustrating to use, the keyboard would often freeze for 30 seconds at a time, sometimes the phone was too slow to bring up the call answer screen before the call had finished ringing... It's bad. If you are looking for a cheap Moto, look for a Moto G 2nd Gen or 3rd Gen, they have better cameras, higher quality screens, better audio, and significantly smoother performance.

Just got one of these earlier this week, after dropping and possibly bricking my current phone. Have a contract with vodafone, but my handset wasn't covered and needed a decent handset quickly, so went for this. Still had to buy the £10 top up, but was told they have credited my contract account with £10 to cover it... still not sure why they cant just sell you the handset though. Anyway, decent handset... feels quite big in the hand, but seems to work fine so far.

I think i used google maps on my moto e4 plus despite not having compass and it worked fine like alike on my note 4 with one.i think compass is not needed anymore as gps uses several satellites and determines direction you going to?

It lets you what direction you're moving in / facing on Google maps, is useful for star gazing apps etc

What would you use compass for?

Great price for this phone. Superb battery and even better there's a 2 year warranty with John Lewis!

Yes but my point is the standard pre s versions will likely be bargains any time now

The problem is the G5S phones are an extra £50 on top of the G5 prices. Seems expensive for what they are, with other UK released phones in a similar price bracket.

Fair enough :P haha

Direct from Motorola with the ever present ukwelcome10 code for starters. It doesn't seem a particularly good value phone generally unless extra long battery life is your be all and end all Or at box or handtec or actually *cheaper* here But like I say, seems over priced compared to other options, including others from the Moto stable. With the g5 s phones out soon, expect some good deals on the g5 non s and plus non s coming very soon. The g5 was only £120 from O2 recently and a better phone in almost every regard and still respectable battery life. Expect similar or better deals possibly.

Do please find another at this price from the UK

Fully playable. Apart from the AR mode. So... not fully playable then :|

The only restriction is that the AR mode doesn't work, turn it off and the game is fully playable. Source: I have one!

We did side load it. Doesn't mean you can use it properly - the gyroscope is fundamental to the Pokémon app.

Highly recommended, I use mine daily as a works phone number. To avoid drop out of important calls I reboot one a day. My main phone is iPhone 6. No stock in my area, looks like its limited, and store specific. Great if you can find one.

Have had iPhones 100% for 9 years bought the Moto 'E' for 29 plus 10 -and for a 128GB Sd Basically this is a little wonder - its a mini computer for 29 and the 128GB its an iPod with GPM there was a time when I thought smartphones maybe too expensive for some. I'm made up the Moto E could be paid for by cleaning six cars on a Saturday Morning - nice. Voda are out of stock at present Tesco silly price C£70 you have to chase Voda store up as to which stores have stock they use mobiles phones as their shop phone!! not listed on google. Ideally pop in and try and do a deal. cheers

That's exactly what I'm thinking, at first I didn't mind the 5.5" screen on my SU6 but after using the Moto E, I realised how convenient and easier it is to actually have a smaller screen.

I certainly preferred the Moto E to the Moto G - which is VERY similar but with a 5.5" screen and selling closer to £150 (typically). I just did not get on with the G's size and it's camera was no better than the E's!

I agree, had no issues with getting this phone either. I used the Moto E for a week or so whilst my Smart Ultra 6 was being repaired, I'm now back on the SU6 and oddly enough, I prefer the Moto E. The screen just seemed so much better, the camera isn't obviously as good but generally, I prefer the Moto E!

Lucky enough to get this at the £29 plus £10 top up! Now £50 probably still worth it, ideal first phone for kids! Had no problems getting it delivered free with Vodafone & dpd couriers, I've seen all the bad remarks about Vodafone but have to say they've been great!
