possible with £5? for qudco

I've been nudging and messaging since February - latest response in mid July was "currently pending awaiting a review from the merchant. Please do be assured that we will continue to chase this for you." But I'm not holding by breath.

Did you report it to tcb? Iv had to in the past and been payed out

I have received my phone today and it is a 3GB /dual sim version not the standard 2GB one as mentioned in the description.

If you used tcb and want to use their highest cashback guarantee you'll need to contact support with details of the higher cashback.

Deal breaker if I was after a cheap phone.

On a £200 phone I totally agree. As this is less than £100, 16GB is expected. I rather have 3GB/16GB than 2GB/32GB.

16GB of internal memory is no way near enough minimum should be 64GB these days.

Damn nearly bought this too... Need led notifications though

Guys after some recommendations.... Need to buy approx 20 handsets which come with android, 4g, touchscreen and ideally minimum 5" screen for small business. Also need to be unlocked and open to any network. Must be below £100 per handset but ideally closer to £50. This deal seems decent but limited quantity remaining. Also seen a deal for a honor 6a handset ftom netherlands for 69. Also the e4 link brings up various chinese sounding makes available. What would you recommend in this price range for best value? Many thanks

For the UK- my reference to international was misleading!

Which country is it for?

Welcome to the club mate (lol) Same phone (LG G3) Same problem ;( I did the fix you mention about 2 month ago it lasted for about 1/2 weeks and worked great but then just turned into constant reboots or screen turning off so now it's just sat in my draw and I'm on my old phone until I get another.

any clue if it is international/eu warranty - i'd order this for the in-law if so but that's likely to be a pre-requisite. thanks for posting.

Even on the G5s you can only take video in 30fps at 1080p. I know, I know that might be acceptable for a budget offering on a phone from new, but it puts me off from swapping out my old LG G3 16gb 2gb ram phone that is on the brink (digitizer to motherboard connection issue, have done quick fix and it's *mostly* resolved). Looking for removable battery, 1080p with decent battery life.

Moto g5 sim free £99 @ Tesco mobile
Found 13th JulFound 13th Jul
SIM free moto g5 at Tesco mobile. Great price for a decent smart phone.

That's my comment in another Moto's G series deal: "I'll keep far away from Moto from now on aas the ghost touch was so frustrating on G4. I should shout out loudly to help others as Moto didn't release any info on this issue. It might happen again on G6." It also applies to G5 as well. Yes, it might not happen. But if it happens, that's the death sentence to your phone.

This is actually a really good deal if you can find them. Can confirm that online and most stores are out of stock, but if you can find it then it's well worth the £99!

Thanks for heads up also bought (embarrassed)

Got mine today - its unlocked! :D

I am interested in this deal, but last time I ordered a like new phone from O2 as a present for my partner, they let me order but then got a text the next day that it wasn't in stock and told me to wait for it to be delivered but they didn't know when. I had to cancel the order and then wait 5 days for the money to be refunded. When speaking to O2 customer service they said it's a common problem with like new phones, they don't always know what stock they actually have.

Great price Terrible phone. Apps won't run properly when installed to SD card (tried several cards) Recharging port became very wobbly after 3 months of light use and then packed up altogether. Within a couple of months it's playing up again. There's a reason it's so cheap! AVOID.

Moto G5 DOES use adoptable storage. A lot of the apps I've downloaded, installed straight to the SD card.

It's definitely not possible in Oreo on Motorola devices

you mean to save photos and videos on, or you reformatted and made it adoptable storage?

You can use the micro sd as storage . did on my daughters

Price has now increased to £112. I think folks are missing the main reason for getting this phone, its removable battery. Manufacturers simply don't make this kind of phone anymore and the few that are still available came out in 2016/2017. The G5 is, by far, the cheapest of the crop. OK, removable batteries, may not be an issue for you (in which case this isn't the phone for you) but for many its a, much missed feature.

I brought one of these for 50 on ebay a few weeks back and it's a great phone. The seller had a few but I don't post deals on hear due to rude comments.

It's called Adoptable storage when you use a sd card as internal memory although only a few phone support this option. Not a great solution as sd cards can be unreliable. Still it's a cheap solution.

I own this phone. I have a memory card in it. It's set up as internal storage. No issues with any apps. Nothing has to be transferred manually to memory card as it's recognised as internal storage. ;)

Sd cards are not a complete solution, many apps will not work properly or update on the SD card. Larger internal storage is best

16 gig storage so your going to run out of memory at some point. Still a bargain for some though.. I think.. Not voting though as I never want to hear anyone moaning about memory warnings popping up. And it a refurbished phone which also can give troubles.. Maybe.

"refurbished" = powered it on and off. "Professionally refurbished" = the above plus wiped the screen with Mr Muscle.

well dodgy description. Sounds very like its been bought hot down the pub for cash and is now sold on ebay as 'refurbished'

Just had confirmation from the seller: yes, it is the 16gb G5.

The photos and initial description are for 16gb. The item specs are for the 8gb G3. I don't know which for sure, but I'd be inclined to believe the photos of the product more than the generic spec text

Do these have a removable battery?

So which is it then, 8gb or 16gb? anyone know for sure?

Weird. The lowest you can get on a G5 is 16GB and 2GB RAM. The last time a Moto G (non play) had 1GB RAM and 8GB Storage was the Moto G3.

Thanks for replying.

No I didn't put in any claim. Mine was only confirmed last week though, beyond the 30 days you mentioned. I think I read somewhere it can take up to 45 days for the increased cashback.

Thanks. So you didn't have to claim for the cashback to be increased? I wonder why my cashback was never increased to £45 then. I only made that one purchase from Giffgaff!

I ordered one in April and two in May. All tracked at £5 each. Two are still pending and can assume these are the ones purchased in May and one is confirmed/payable - £47.25 according to my account.

Oh I meant to say, leave it 24 hours and then call o2 to cancel the sim, whatever you do, don’t call carphone warehouse, they will cancel the sim for you but they will also send you a bag to send the phone back to them. If o2 ask you about the mobile tell them it was a sim only deal, don’t let them fob you off as you have your 14 day cooling off period.

I was trying to work out how to copy and repost the link the guy put up for the deal you and myself and others got as people were asking me to, but I couldn’t work out how to repost the link. :/

Yh, it was quite strange, just after I had seen your message to me regarding your bill, I also then found that I had received the same time email, but I've just spoken to them and they told me the same as you.

3rd april and cancelled on 4th. just called now to confirm it and they said yes my account is showing as nothing to pay. apparently the system takes the money first and then issues a credit but because i cancelled and then cancelled direct debit i got the email. did you get the email demanding payment too?

What date did you sign the contract on?

yes but they never did

Did you ask o2 to send you a email to confirm your cancellation?

Quick update for you and everyone else on here, the P8 lite upfront cost has now gone up from £30 to £90 overnight. The next phone I can see that will work out for £30 is the Nokia 3.

No problem m8.

Excellent yes bud would get the P8 as you say better phone... Many thanks for your help

It doesn't have to be exactly 24 hours, I'm just that because that's how long I left it when I cancelled my sim, but I would do it no later than 3 days after you get the phone, that way you know your still within your '14 day cooling off period', also I would get the huawie p8 lite 2017 for £30 upfront instead of the Moto G5, I have it and it's a much better phone.

ahhhh found it. Will i be able to call O2 weekends to cancel just in case the 24hrs falls on sat or Sun

Got one (from Argos), can confirm. The update situation is appalling (surprise surprise, the usual problem with Android unless you get Google's own handsets) but it's an otherwise impressive little device for the money. Definitely makes you question whether it's really worth spending 4-10x as much on flagships. Plus with being cheap you don't worry yourself silly about breaking or scratching it etc.

Yes, they do.

Don't they take a MicroSD card? Same price at Argos. Tempted as a second phone. Just about to become 2 generations old though if you count the G5S...

Potentially only £94 from GiffGaff

I'd be genuinely tempted by this if it wasn't for the 16gb. I'm on that now and getting constant warnings that I'm reaching the limit, so much so I've been deleting apps regularly.

Much faster with a better quality screen and camera but it's not a UK phone therefore if anything goes wrong your on your own. I bought this model for my mother and for her it's perfectly fine, however I find it to be frustratingly slow even when browsing heavy webpages on Chrome. I've found in general the 400 series processors are not great for heavy use and it's always worth paying a little bit more for a 6xx based phone if you can afford to.

for more 30 pounds isnt the Xiaomi Mi A1 much better?

They constantly drive me nuts, thanks for the feedback
