OMG,just gone through my mail,as on holiday, got bill for this.stating paid in full, phoned Neat ideas,it was attempt delivery on the 18th July, now it's sitting in the post office for collection, but no one told me,I had to phone up to find this out,not even a note to say collect at PO,so will collect tommorrow and see what they have sent me,the free binoculars are on the bill so maybe i got lucky...eventually...anyone else get theirs??
No LOss. They won't take any money. You can't 'LOSE' something you never had.:)
I too have contacted them, but no reply yet.....I was hoping this would come off,but sadly it looks like a loss this time :x.....sorry guys.......
Contacted them and they have cancelled my order without ANY notification. This is usual for Neat Ideas. Terrible Company to deal with. I doubt VERY much if many will get them.
Yup, nothing here yet... :-(
You may wish you didnt ask ;-) http://www.opticsplanet.net/how-to-buy-binoculars.html
Are these really worth £100? Anyone know these or what specs you are supposed to look for?
Personally I would rather stand closer to any object I want to view and save a few quid?:?
Thanks wonderguy :) lol! Thanks Mike, dont know why i had half price stuck in mt head
Better than half price, they were £99 now 75% off RRP

My quidco tracked, but still hasnt vaildated or paid or recieved payment due september. Got my binoculars though! My mate didnt get his binoculars and his quidco is also still just on 'tracked'
Hi Anyone had experience of joining online and it not processing? Or taking different times for memberships taken out on the same day? I mentioned before that I joined with a family membership, tried to cancel it, and still received the pack They never answered/acknowledged the email 2 weeks ago. As suggested here, I cancelled the DD. I then took out a single membership for myself and one each for my kids. All on 4/5th July. 1 week ago, one child received her pack and binoculars. I have also had the DD confirmation. I have received nothing for mine or the other kids. I called them up and they only had the one child's details, and the family one that I had been trying to cancel! This child was the third membership I applied for! Is it normal to be processed randomly and not in order of application. She said leave it a week, and she could join them over the phone (err no thankyou!) As she was hesitant to mess about with it now. All the meberships tracked and I received email confirmations with the 4 weekly pass. Should I be concerned? Thanks Vix

lol at comments so far, would these be any good for astronomy?
Must get me a pair of these had loads of problems spotting a nice pair of tits.
Just the job for using at my local gym
Are these still available in stores ? If anyone has seen them please let me know. Thanks
Not priced up at £4.49 in any of the 3 stores I have been in.
Yes those are the ones, same brand and everything. They also had an £80 pair in the display cases, heavy duty looking big things (10x62 if I recall)
They are a different line. They also had those in the Camberley store when I bought the Bresser ones. I compared both before I knew and saw the HUKD thread. I think the ones you may have seen were ]these at least these look like the other ones in the Camberley store.
Stuff like a loose feeling focus wheel or the two eyepieces not being quite alligned so you get double vision. The comments were on a birdwatching forum though and I suspect the people testing were pretty fussy. Note though that the binoculars now in stock are not the same as the previous ones (the set I just picked up in Chesterfield aren't anyway). The current stock is 10x25 binoulars in a more compact style (the ones that look like two telescopes strapped together rather than old style binoculars). They're a good deal (better than the £15 pair I almost boughtelsewhere last week but worse than the £20 I did get) and a lot easier to fit in a pocket but the optics aren't quite as good and the smaller lenses mean they are far worse suited to low light situations.
Cool. I am also worried aout the "type" of BIRDS you refer to! Everyone in my family each have a set in their bedroom....ahem....HAHA!
brought these a few days ago... great value! PS ( i brought them to watch the birds in my garden, but I also back onto a play park :p)
Puzzle for you:- Life a get:whistling:
Was meant as humour, probably sadly lost on this site now though. I fear nothing, I am only to be feared. In jest again before anyone to serious and sad replies:roll:
I was wondering if it was an attempt at some sort of humour, but didn't comment 'cause I didn't want to be "whooshed"
Just popped into my local (Camberley) for the security camera (don't have any) however picked these up now reduced to £4.49!!!!
Picked mine up in Finsbury Park 7:15a about 20 boxes out on rack.
Bought them just before Christmas last year. Even my missus is impressed. I've put them to the car and actually we are using them quite often (last time in France, good to have them in the car :) ). GREAT quality!!!
Yes you really can. Tho you won't see separate rings - it'll just look like a single one. If you don't have a tripod you could try resting the bins on a fence or some other stationary object. You need to eliminate any 'shake' to see detail at this distance.
I got one of these from Costco for £99 + VAT a few year back and they are still available from time to time along with their no quibble guarantee.
60 mm objective lens only suitable for a beginner; will show rings of Saturn, moons of Jupiter
Brings a whole new meaning to searching for uranus!
also suitable for peeping toms !!!
Probably OK for general and sports use but I'd think twice if you're thinking of using them for birdwatching. Look on eBay and you'll find Bushnell Trophys for a decently low price - but avoid buying direct from HK.
This has been 9.99 since Christmas, got one then and they are good.
10X21mm = 10x zoom with 21mm lenses so 21mm divided by 10x = 2.1mm image on your retina, which is very poor, extended use on this would hurt your eyes and the image will not be great. But then for £10... you can't moan really...
Hi- I was wondering how you got on with the Quidco cashback?
Did anyone manage to get 2 x Quidco £20s by purchasing a membership for yourself and one as a gift or did only one track? Was going to buy a couple but not sure which way is the best to do it. Thanks!
Worth joining for Stourhead on it's own, a stunning location.
Wow- thanks! Was just having a look on NT site and thought the 12 months for 9 was a great offer so about to sign up when I thought I'd just check here first- so glad I did! I signed up as inividual and bought my husband a gift membership using the same quidco account so will post an update whether I get £20 back for each.
Thanks bazr, I may just decide not to be to greedy and just do the family sign up after all.
Any one seen stock available any where?
I got the expensive bins yesterday, they are brilliant, 7 lense system. They retail for around £200+ on most UK websites. A brilliant set, I also got the £4.99 magnifier, which is also very good! Got the spotting scope last year and this is also good!! :D
Definately bargain bins, they're 25quid here delivered. http://www.scopesnskies.com/prod/bresser/travelview/10x50/porro-prism/tvbino.html.html
lots of people were buying the stuff when I popped in, night vision scope, telescopes, and binoculars... I didn't even know I had a LIDL locally.. it's just sprung up out of nowhere as I used to get annoyed seeing decent deals and not being able to pick them up :)
Got mine today and have to agree they are amazing quality!
Ha Ha Ha Great concise review!! thats the best bucket of water ive seen thrown on a deal.
Looks good, and I almost reserved one, then checked the reviews @ Amazon.....e.g. For more, see ]here - one to avoid I think!
should be alright for general purpose dogging...ordered a pair.
I dont think anyone was expecting military spec night vision goggles for £4.97 :whistling:
my son got the National Geographic Planetarium 2 years ago with a free voucher for the binoculars but we never recieved them.
The red light in the middle of your forehead makes a nice target for any snipers out there :giggle: :p
Here is a funny fact: Uranus was going to be originally called George, until the astromoner was overruled. Source: A short history of nearly everything- Bill Bryson.
Would be worth giving these guys a call: http://www.telescopehouse.co.uk I've phoned them in the past and had some very friendly (and good) advice on what to go for etc etc Just a word of caution - beware of some of the 'bargains' you'll see on Ebay. Most of the optics on the cheap Chinese made ones you'll see aren't up to much and in the world of telescopes optical quality is everything. Not to say there aren't the occasional good buy to be had, but stick to named brands such as Meade, Bresser, Skywatcher etc Good luck.
Try squinting and tilting your head to one side. :giggle:
would this help see through frosted glass at a distance of 70m?
Thanks guv, this may be a cheap way in at £70 but if it's limited I'd rather spend more on a decent one. I'll take a look around for meade and clarkenwell.
