That some of their new services have had cancellations is something to take into account. I'm not saying I wouldn't take that deal if I wanted to go to NYC, but I'd want to know the risks and possible downsides.
I think thats the point pay more for more. I guess till we know the price of the these so called alternatives and get a real comparison its just saying this is not a good deal. But the deal says it's not much baggage and it maybe no frills but if it ticks your boxes at the price its a good deal. But i guess to moan about the price would be worthwhile if people had a example of a so called better deal. The ones ivr read arnt making points just moaning hence my comment. But this site is all about helping others find deals so would be great to know what price difference we are talking about.
The point people are making is you can fly with Norwegian or Thomas Cook to JFK for not a lot more and the product both offer is vastly superior. Norwegian don’t charge much if you want a meal or hold bags, thomas cook fares maybe slightly higher but include both. If you are really ok with hand baggage only, no food or entertainment and non existent customer service book away. The main factor for me would be what Airport was most convenient at either end, Gatwick, Manchester or Birmingham in the UK and JFK or EWR in the USA
That is a fantastic deal - nice find !
I landed in Newark a few yrs back, at the airport there are shuttle coaches every 15-20mins (free or a few dollars) that take you straight into NYC. Or if you spend a bit more for a faster journey, you can take train or Uber as someone else pointed out.
