Do you get Google Flying Taxis? Google Room service? I'm expecting Goolgle Homes in every portion of the room. Easy for google.

Sounds good. I’ve been to all 3 cities and love them. What a great way to spend two weeks off work. premium economy would be ok for the long haul flights. Im Silver with BA so ideally one world carriers to get TPs and then can use lounge access at airport. excellent deal

At the moment around the same dates as i have posted the cheapest i am getting business class is £1956 per person will do plenty of more research over the next couple of days

Found this in Hull's Paragon Street store, if that's of help to anyone, but they only had a couple left on the shelf. (still there when I left).

Good lock but small so your limited to what you can lock your bike too

melted

I'm surprised you haven't fitted some nice pink or yellow tyres on it to go with the paintwork (y) . I did hear that bikes with shopping baskets on the front are less likely to be stolen.

scoopsuk

This is a good deal for a pretty formidable lock that is just about portable if you use a belt loop or similar. As stated, no lock is going to stop a determined thief but it is going to delay them and hopefully make them target a bike with a worse lock instead!!

phoebegrace

had the kryptonite evolution series 4 in halfords in rhyl for £20 only seen one there reduced near the till on the bike section there was other brands reduced also, but were more expensive

I did this three centre trip in April. 3 days in Boston, 2 in DC and 5 in NYC. On reflection I wish I’d had 2 in Boston and 3 in DC. Amazing cities and highly recommend getting the train (30 mins) from Boston to Salem if you’re going in October so you can experience the Witch Trials at the spookiest time of year.

mtuk1

Best Western Robert Treat. About 10 mins from Penn. around £90 a night in September

Uncommon.Sense

Not for his Dad, since he loves planes, and used to fly when he was younger, so he prefers to take the plane or train. I agree if you are happy to drive, we did Boston, Niagara, Toronto, New York all in a people carrier, and upstate New York is beautiful, we made a whole day of trip from Toronto back New York, left at about 6am, and got to NYc just after midnight, even though it is only a seven hour drive, so much to see, and so much fun. :)

adamg64

done a very similar trip like this, in and out of airports commuting too and from and all that honestly its easier and prob quicker to just drive there. I drove from washington DC to new york too just under 4 hours and was a great drive/experience

Robdk

Which hotel? Had a quick look and all those near the PATH train in Jersey City are still around the £200+ mark for these dates. You probably could get an Airbnb for that sort of money. Apartment rentals are effectively illegal in Manhattan but OK in Jersey City.

Excellent observation. I didn't realise, I just copied the link to TC flights. It may be that you can get cheap flights from New York to the Tropical paradise of Tropicana, where the drinks are free, but only at the club and sadly, only orange juice. TC using subliminal advertising to get you to spend even more. By George, I think that's it. They're taking the Michael.

https://www.headforpoints.com/2017/07/31/primera-air-birmingham-stansted-new-york/ Great option from Euston on Virgin Trains too (or LNWT if you're not in a rush). Actually, these flights are probably cheaper than a Virgin train.

gemini24

Yes, I've been before and it's a great place to be to escape the 24 hour madness of Manhattan. I looked carefully to find somewhere very close to main transport links which avoids us having to walk anywhere in the dark and/or off main routes. Had my share of tiny Manhattan hotel rooms with a view of a wall.

alunmorris

That some of their new services have had cancellations is something to take into account. I'm not saying I wouldn't take that deal if I wanted to go to NYC, but I'd want to know the risks and possible downsides.

Ritss

I think thats the point pay more for more. I guess till we know the price of the these so called alternatives and get a real comparison its just saying this is not a good deal. But the deal says it's not much baggage and it maybe no frills but if it ticks your boxes at the price its a good deal. But i guess to moan about the price would be worthwhile if people had a example of a so called better deal. The ones ivr read arnt making points just moaning hence my comment. But this site is all about helping others find deals so would be great to know what price difference we are talking about.

mrme

The point people are making is you can fly with Norwegian or Thomas Cook to JFK for not a lot more and the product both offer is vastly superior. Norwegian don’t charge much if you want a meal or hold bags, thomas cook fares maybe slightly higher but include both. If you are really ok with hand baggage only, no food or entertainment and non existent customer service book away. The main factor for me would be what Airport was most convenient at either end, Gatwick, Manchester or Birmingham in the UK and JFK or EWR in the USA

BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK To those who are concidering flying with Norwegian first the positives the Planes are new and perfect flight attendants are professional and nice but that's all. Certain very important things to note is if something goes wrong you are on your own no joke, inn the USA they don't have ground staff and they don't pick up the phone. I was flying from Chicago to London when I went to check in for my flight i was told that norwegian had sent the wrong plane and therefore they were downgrading me to economy because premium was full although i was the second person to check in and online wasn't working. I demanded to speak to someone the check in staff said I should e mail or call as they did not have anyone local. I asked if the meal I ordered was going to be available to me because of dietary requirements they said yes however when time came for the meal i was informed that they don't serve food in economy unless it's ordered on the system which did not have anything I could eat cut the story short I had Orange juice and water for the 8hrs but if I was told about it I would have brought something with me. When I got back i wrote to Norwegian who did not reply for 4 weeks untill I sent a threatening letter saying I will recover my money through the credit card company they wrote back and said well it's in the terms and conditions that we can downgrade you at will they refunded me 300 out of a £1000 ticket and that was it. So for those who go long haul on this may the good Lord be with you because if something goes wrong that's all you will have. In short Norwegian are worse than Ryanair and wizz put together. You have been warned!

Madchester

Very expensive destinations once there.

aw08

I can totally relate to that, you wouldn't believe the number of conversations we've had about hitting the road again. Or completely relocating somewhere warmer - but then I'd have to give up on m daily check-in at HUKD. XD

This was basically my intention to see that it is affordable to travel the world if you put the effort in, I myself have travelled a fair bit as well the worst part is being back home and just wanting to do it all over again straight away :(
