do not go with Air China. Trust me . This is one of the worst airlines flying from Heathrow. Next to Air INdia.

Interested to know what major international carriers are a lot worse

Reservation now includes 2 checked in bags per person. When I booked last year it was only 1. May email them to clarify.

I do the UK<->NZ trip a couple times a year. Usually choose Singapore, …I do the UK<->NZ trip a couple times a year. Usually choose Singapore, Emirates or Air NZ. I’ve flown Air China and HK Airlines in the past but for such a long journey you are worth paying the extra unless your budget doesn’t allow it. Problems do arise when travelling but being in the hands of an airline that takes care of you when things go wrong is worth any extra cost in my eyes.I had a terrible experience with HK Airlines, worse than Air China. I had a 36hr delay in HK due to the first leg arriving late so their partner airline for the remaining leg (Thai Airlines) refused us onboard despite the gates still being open (my belief is they overbooked the flight). Nevertheless, HK Airlines had terrible communication through the whole ordeal, never experienced anything quite so bad - and as many of you also, I’ve had my fair share of bad experiences with the like of BT and Royal Mail. HK Airlines kept us in the airport for 14hrs continually telling us “a new flight is being arranged we will have you on the way soon, we expect 1hr..” eventually it hit midnight and then they put us up in an airport hotel (at their cost) and told us to be at the checkin desk for 7am for our new flight. Oh.. I missed out that before that they gave us £2 of food vouchers for keeping us waiting (£2 may get you a meal in HK but definitely not inside the Airport where your voucher is only valid).. it only gets you a McDonald’s coffee. Anyhow, 7am at the check in desk, no one knows anything about us and there is no new flight. The previous staff have gone home, forgotten all about us. So it all starts again, the promises of being on our way soon and don’t leave the check in desk area.. this lasted a further 14hrs with another £2 food voucher, oh how generous. In the end they did manage to get us on a new flight but with Emirates instead and oh boy, what a fantastic flight that was.. the crew where amazing, so friendly and helpful, the food was great, the leg room was plentiful and it was at that point I realised how stupid I was trying to save a few hundred pounds by not flying with a good airline.. never going to make that mistake again and haven’t regretted it since.But.. if you are willing to put up with a budget airline like this and have never been to NZ then go for it, it’s a great price... just remember to give yourself a bit of extra time to recover from the flight (the experience not the jet lag!).I should mention (warn), if you are going with China Southern then they were ok however the downside on the trip to/from NZ to UK is they often stop at Guangzhou Airport... whatever you do, do not book a flight that has a transit of more than 2hrs there, it is the worst airport I have ever been to. My other half would testify to this also after coming out the toilets with a horrified expression on her face after find the have squat toilets in an international airport! It is over priced for China and has what feels like 2 shops but repeated 3 times over in a small terminal. Yeh.. just don’t go there.Anyhow..NZ is a wonderful place.. I live in Wellington which unfortunately has the worst weather due to the cook straight bringing with it A LOT of cold wind. That being said however you eventually get used to it but for a holiday you may not want to spend too long there.. see the sights then move further inland to the Wairarapa or if your done exploring the North Island jump on the ferry and head to Picton and start your journey south making sure to stop off in Queenstown for a week of fun.

Great post, thanks

Thought it didn't start till 10am

It was 9am.....
Was able to get 3 adults and 2 children for £740.....extremely happy..
Bots got them. I was refreshing at 9am, logged in and had one in my basket. Page refreshed telling me it had sold out before I could even enter my email address. Possibly just humans being quicker but I doubt it. I don't know why they don't give you a few minutes to complete checkout once it's in your basket.
Got to payment and then tickets were no longer available....

Don't think I want to go to NZ in May though. For £400 though wondering if its worth going for a week and a half
there were several for 175 end of feb, think thay may of gone now

How about a "please" or "I'd really appreciate it if someone.."

Check eBay, I saw a few accounts floating around there starting at 99p.

People won't do that, they will get bitter because they feel they deserve it and therefore won't spend 99p on a £30 game.

I've had this loads of times and it's a fabulous wine for that price. I don't care where it comes from, at the end of the day it's the taste that matters and this is light, aromatic and fruity, in fact, everything a Sauvignon Blanc should be.
Its a nice wine, imo better than brancott estate.
Thank God we all have different tastes. I love chocolate but a colleague I work with hates it. Hence I'm going to buy some of this wine to see if I still like it. Once bought a £40 bottle of wine and gave half the bottle away. A valuable lesson learnt. Never yet had a bad NZ wine but then that's my taste.
Thoughtful

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddrink/wine/8080131/New-Zealand-wine-The-5-wine-and-the-cove-that-never-was.htmlbesides the offer, there were two big clues that all might not be well. The first was the name: Wairau Cove is neither a winery nor a place. The second was the small print on the back label that indicated the wine was bottled in the UK. Together these two clues point in one direction: bulk wine.Bulk wine is wine sold off in liquid mass by co-operatives and wineries who don’t want to bottle it themselves. With Wairau Cove, the bulk wine comes from several sources but there are four key suppliers. Tesco refused to say who but I understand these include Pernod-Ricard (whose Montana – or Brancott Estate, as we must now call it, but that’s another story – branded sauvignon blanc is well-known), Sacred Hill and Babich. The best I can say about this wine is that it had a strong elderflower taste and would have been a brilliant buy to add to a punch made of cordial, soda, wine and lemon juice. As a glass of wine it smelt tired, had lost its fresh zing and had the starchy, watery taste of slices of raw old potatoes.

This is one of the funniest posts I've ever read on this site
Wow you're WAY overthinking it. Nice enough wine for the money.

Have had no issues with omega. As long as you don't have to talk to them about anything you're golden.
I remember Omega and someone called Vince from my hunt for a flight, their pricing was too good to be true and research showed that to be the case after a visit to TripAdvisor where the posters have virtually nothing good to say about them.

Omega avoid!
Would never book with Omega flight store again. Don't get me wrong after 100 calls and 4 month wait I got refunded for multiple changes and cancelations to flights. All Chinese and Indian call centre workers who hang up if they don't understand things which was most calls. Rude, unhelpful, liars etc etc
Great price.

Shame it's a return, or I'd have booked for my wife.
I just know the bu99er would come back to pester me!
