Really wish it was easier than luck to catch familiars... Oh I wish it was easy to get good drops off them. I'm 41 hours in and loving it, hope it doesn't end.

actionmagnet

Been waiting for this to drop for a long time. Thank you 🔥

If you have an HB sub it`s currently £9.59 on their store with the discount for 1 more day, although it was already on sale for this price before and as soon as that sale ended it rolled over for another 3 days so who knows. Tempted but too much other stuff on the pile.

Is it playable for a 5 year old? We love Paper Mario, would we like this?

ventis86

It is gorgeous. I just wish it was turn based. The team member AI is appalling!

neoaisac

I've got this from an earlier offer a couple of months ago. It's a classic RPG that overloads in cuteness thanks to the beautiful animations of Studio Ghibli and in engine. The story is very classic and linear, as are the dialogs, but if classic RPG is your thing you'll love it.

All over this, had it in my wish list for a while XD

Also, with same code, you could get Tales of Vesperia definitive edition for £7.73. Not sure how many times can use code or if can use on multiple stuff in cart but if u already bought Ni No Kuni for £12 elsewhere like me and u want Tales of Vesperia. Great deal on that too right now!

liltman

Dayummm, I just bought it for £12, don't even care. Bargain at £12 so crazy at this price. What is going on with this game all of a sudden. Finally the price range it should be :D

Yeah I'm tempted to do that to be honest. Made a bit more progress now and just off the ship. Now at the stage where I'm enraged at how often my team mates die or use up all their MP.

spencerasmith

Have you dropped the difficulty setting? I absolutely loved this game but I dropped the difficulty to the lowest to minimise the grind.

hypaed

Ah makes sense!!! Is this why the whole game feels incomplete? For example loads of spells and ways to get the little minion things like pulling them from your heart and using the spell to get the fairy etc then bam never see those mechanisms again and the amazing studio animations just cut. Brilliant game those, almost finished it on my PS3 but then got the PS4 deal so happily started again.

shenmue123

I remember when I played it there was a certain island where you get absolutely tonnes of xp. Saves a lot of grinding anywhere else.

teoc

Going to hold out a bit longer as feel like this will go down a bit more in the near future (and have way too many recent purchases to play lol), but if you've never played this it's in my top 5 games of all time

rufioh

Oops, didn't jump on this when I got the notification from isthereanydeal. Ah well, have plenty of other stuff to play. I've always found the price ridiculous for this remaster. I just checked, and I paid £4.94 (cheeky) for the original on PS3. 6 years ago. I tried out the PC version and I don't feel it adds anything to the experience (just it's the last game I care about that's still trapped on my PS3).

liltman

DAMN it, why did I have to be sleeping when this was posted and not notice until now lol. I still have it on PS3 which is why I won't bite at £20+ but at £12 I'd just buy it without question lol. Amazing game. This will now have to be my biting point so back to the waiting game.

BuzzDuraband

It did seem a little too cheap.

I'm playing it on PS3 now :) I never got into it when it came out all those years ago (felt too slow) so I'm playing it now and really enjoying it! Still near the beginning though, just found the cat who was searching for the mouse!

Well worth this price though. I think I put about 100 hours in to the game... Trying to get plat is a HUGE grind though. I gave up lol

Illusionary

There's a regional sale in the American stores, agreed, but the reason why the South African and Mexican stores are often cheaper than the others is primarily their lower average incomes.

kyeung

Yea I agree, good developer that create good games should be supported. I have bought the collectors edition back on the PS3, now I have bought the digital version to play on the go and will definitely get a hard physical switch version to add to collection once it hits round the £15ish mark. I think the price difference between different eshop region is mainly to do with the currency conversion, tax and regional sales, so buying from another region still supports the developer (y)

Farmer_Humpf

Thanks very much! TGC have it for £26.95. That’s the cheapest I could find. Also got a deluxe hardback copy of Watchmen. (y)

Daley87

Anyone manage this with a Starling card? If so.... How?

Caskey

I usually always do at least 90% of the time tbh. I only do it if it's a pretty expensive game or a great saving to be had. Think some regions differ though with how you go about buying.

Heat added. Been interested in this game for 7 years but never got round to it. It’ll be going on the back burner til summer but happy to cop for £13 and have done. And by the way that’s absolute nonsense up the page about how “you’re still paying £15.99.” do me a favour. £13.84 came out my paypal account, not £15.99 so I paid £13.84 didn’t I. PSN credit isn’t a currency you can buy anything with, it’s a virtual credit. If I pay £100 for £200 of PSN credit, then buy games with it, I have paid £100. not 200. Dumbest argument ever and the definition of being deliberately obtuse.

Daley87

Really want to bite but I'm being stubborn because I own the PS3 version on my PSN account but don't have a PS3 anymore (lol)

b3mike

this remaster was a good opportunity to add some hdr to the game, sadly it appears to be quick cash grab.

hypaed

I didn't even know I had this on my PS3 until I was going through the payment history!!! Well happy now it's a great game, never played it before

mixmixi

Your logic is explaining things is simply amazing, honestly. Do you also buy your Tesco groceries with PSN top up? Is the £15.99 PSN top up you use for this purchase the same amount of REAL money you paid to purchase them in the first instance?

I tried selling the Move Controllers for £35, brand new, people said it was too expensive, took me 2 weeks finally sell them.

Elbandito

Yup, no doubt you get people like that, or people making lowball offers. I once had an iPhone XS max listed for about 500 and a guy offered me '100 and he would come to pick up asap'. Thanks but no thanks, I said ;)

W.e.S

Ahh shame. Well hopefully your cousin enjoyed it! People on the marketplace offer some hilarious prices sometimes. Even when I list things as clearly collection only or no offers, they still persist on asking if I deliver or if I'll take such n such price. Makes me want to face-palm so hard.

Elbandito

Gumtree, FB marketplace people were offering a tenner but I didn't take it. Had it listed for a couple of months and then Christmas came and I just gave it to my cousin as a gift :)

W.e.S

Treasure Tracker? I'd had paid you £23 for it all in with standard postage if I had seen it haha. Where were you trying to sell it?

I recommend Birth By Sleep and Dream Drop Distance. I personally loved 358/2days too and if you like Roxas, Axel and Xion it will make everything so much more impactful. I've played every single game except the mobile phone one (watched video on that though). Ah yeh u can just watch 358/2 days now I believe? Definitely watch so u get to know what happened. I really enjoyed playing it but that was way back when lol

bryngreen

Aha you've just reminded me a) actually have a vita and b) have a tales of game on there and Persona 4 for god sake Hopefully by the time we die we can just upload ourselves digitally and have all eternity to complete our backlogs (lol)

CupN00dle

Yeah I’m the same when it comes to games. Also being spoilt for choice does not help at all. Keep going back to old ones though too (lol) and I forget about the games on my Vita like Muramasa Rebirth and Persona 4. I’ll just cancel my future plans (lol)

bryngreen

I'll give them a go cheers! Quite like the idea of KH films, hopefully by the end of it I can vaguely tie the story together 😁 After them its onto tales of zesteria/bersaria/vesperia so theres another 120 hours+ I need to find aha. I did about 80% of Vesperia first time round then never finished it. Unless a game REALLY hooks me I generally swap between other games and then leave one in the dust, need more focus! I think Death Stranding was the last that I did in about a week and before that Xenoblade 2, loved both of them.

bryngreen

I've never felt less alone (lol) it's not just me!

Final Fantasy 7, 8 & 9. These rightly have serious praise, for me 7 & 8 have yet to be beaten as my joint favourite games of all time. But lets go to more modern times here, Dragon Quest 11 would be one of my biggest recommendations, the joy that can bring is beautiful(sorrow too), it also has a hefty demo on the eshop so you can try it. (There are also demo's of Dragon Quest Builders 1 & 2 on the eshop, these are DQ meets Minecraft with the 2nd being regarded as better). If that kind of setting isn't for you can dive into the hd remasters of Final Fantasy 10 and 12, people swear by these. Fire Emblem Three House's is a very different jrpg in that it is a strategy rpg, think Xcom but fused with Japanese style and story telling - It's a part of one of my favourite game series. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is also an option or the soon to be released Definitive edition of the first one. Tales of Vesperia is very well liked but is from the prior generation(much like FF 10 & 12, also my twin brother has my same game tastes, FF7 was his favourite game of all time until ToV). There Is also Octopath Traveller which is a modern take on old school jrpgs. An when you get a real taste for them, there are whole other series like the Atelier series (there are many on Switch, Ryza - the most recent probably being the most highly regarded), Y's 8 Lacrimosa of Dana (sadly only one Y's on the system), Disgaea series which is another srpg series among plenty other's (more games then series) that I just haven't said. If I had to pick just one old one and one modern one, Final Fantasy 7 would be the old one and Dragon Quest 11 the modern one. Hope this helps :)

yellowpony

thanks for the tip! What would you recommend? I didn't hate this, but compared to my other switch games (Zelda, Astral Chain, Mario etc) it wasn't fun from start to finish.

robinkurosaki

If by this you mean it is the first jrpg you have played, this was not a good place to start, there are plenty others that are better on the system. This should not sully your views on jrpgs or turn you off them or you weill be missing out. In other news I did try playing it again on my ps3, just heading through to the dessert an it seems to suffer from exactly the reason I stopped playing in the first place, I know I'm meant to like it, but I just don't get on with it. I think kid's out there could have a blast with it however but it's charm this time, is lost on me.

GdoubleU

I agree with the passing the midway point. Once travel opens up it is a little less tedious.

yellowpony

Yip. Least enjoyable game I’ve played on switch (I’ve only played the greats to be fair). First Japanese rpg and not used to the grinding at all. Managed to get through it but wasn’t sad to see it end
