RHS Student Membership £10 a year with NUS Card

My son studies Engineering and I just have a NUS card and we both signed up no problem, so not just for those studying plants x

Master.G

The membership application form makes it clear that you qualify if you meet any of the three criteria.

supervalue

Pasted off link "RHS student membership is open to students living in the UK who are: Horticultural students and apprentices, full or part time Students in full time education (16–19 years) Students in full time education (19+)" From the way it is laid out, I think if you fulfill any of those criteria you are eligible. So full time students would qualify too

Master.G

Also available to: Students in full time education (16–19 years) Students in full time education (19+)

LionelRichieFan

If this is open to only horticultural students then the title is misleading.

Every time I try to get one it will only offer to send a replacement for my current one which runs out in June, anyone else had this issue?

mickgoodie

don't forget folks, that if you can get the student railcard off the back of the NUS card (even as a mature student) you can also get the discount added to your TFL oyster card. Just show you rail card to any TFL staff at the main TFL stations (waterloo/KX/Euston etc) and they can add the discount..makes a massive difference to single journey ~ 60/70p

that's the isic side your looking at, expiry on other side

That's the problem with the coop. It's split into coop group stores and coop society stores which are basically franchises that use coop branding. They have different rules and policies in place.

rockchick90

Does it go through at that price? I know some places won't offer any discount (staff, student ) on spirits

Can't be hooped.

Price not available in all Co-op stores. Only stores that accept the NUS card as discount. Title needs amending.

dazza99

As has been pointed out many times previously you do not need to actually enrol in a course to get an nus extra card ...

jobibear

Mine gets paid with the 10% I get off in COOP. Got into prison museum in Phenom Pehn free too. Mind, I'm a bona fide student.

CerealKiller13

Got a NUS Card a couple of years ago as it got me cheaper bus travel in Brighton, its quite literally the only thing I use it for and I basically saved what I spent on course and card in the first month. Saying that, I use it for cheaper Amazon Prime as well. Last year I just changed the course end date on the NUS website ( Amazon as well I think) and just auto renewed so no need to do a new course every year,

Even now that Philips are switching over to lithium ion, their low-end shavers still seem to be crippled with absurdly long charging times. They can't be saving much money by doing this, not with the capacity batteries they're using - it seems to be purely a way of upselling people to a more expensive shaver with one-hour charging. Not sure Braun have even bothered to switch at all yet.

shifty277

Exactly - it's taken shaving and toothbrush manufacturers years to switch over to a high capacity lithium ion battery instead of ni-mh... There's still toothbrushes on sale from Braun that taken 18+ hours to charge!!! It's like a 200mah battery inside them!!

Strangie

Can confirm this still works. Handy too, because my Prime was due for renewal in two days time :D

snaphappy71

Have some heat - I can confirm this still works - I've just done it. Total cost £17.50 (£4 course, £13.50 NUS card). No need to wait for the confirmation of enrolment from E-careers before buying the NUS Extra card. I decided to purchase the course so I am actually a student - £4 is hardly a waste of money given the discounts available. Emailing Amazon at the address provided was brilliant - 10 minutes later they confirmed their approval and I now have 6 months free Amazon Prime, then £39/yr after that. We'll be using the eating out discounts a few times too, and other things - so well worth it. Take 15 mins from start to finish including the Amazon bit.

hgthompson

Yes it should still work...the deal on GoGroupie is still live, so should work without any problems.

The special offer bonus was added today - total bonus £15 per £100. Offer stated would be added by 2nd November so I thought I wasn't going to get it.

xxfoxy-ladyxx

I topped up my bonus card the other day, £100. I have been given the normal bonus of £5. (£1 for every £20) I haven't had the promotional bonus added yet (£10, £1 for every £10), I read in the t&c's it will happen by early November. Total bonus of £15 for my £100 top up. I want to spend some of this money now to take advantage of the HALLOWEEN code, £5 off £30 that expires on Tuesday. I have also had a booklet through the post offering me £8 bonus credit if I make 2 £40 shops before 26th November. Does anyone know if a £40 spend that actually costs me £35 with the above code, will count as a £40 spend, and therefore be one of the 2 shops for my £8 credit. And, if I start spending the £100 before I've had my promotional credit will I still get the full £10 it in early November

amber357

Applied for my Bonus Card as soon as I saw this here. Got my bonus card in the post just now...only 3 days to go before this bonus offer expires on the 29th. Phew! (:I . Thanks OP. Got an Amex card so paying via Paypal as still in 5% Amex cashback period. Will go through TopCashback for the 1%.

You will only know by trying as different retailers have different policies on whether you can pay by other vouchers. Argos for example, allow use of Love2shop cards to buy Argos Gift cards which you can use to buy other Gift cards. However you might have to fight with the person behind the till as you will first get a standard answer that you cannot pay for gift cards using gift card/vouchers.

Anyone got a spare code kicking about?

Nugg.Duff

It costs £12 pound how is that a discount

ST3123

Yeah, it's been around ages. I don't think people realise it's single use as the previous code for 5% was multi-use till it expired. Aside from that, enough with the bloody Fifa deals, like every other deal on here seems to be for Fifa 18 at close to RRP. Wouldn't mind if any of them were actually much cheaper but like any new game it's too early to see any worthwhile discount, not that for me there could be one less than 100% for Fifa anyway, most flogged to death franchise going...
