Shamrock_Sean One Plus 6T when it arrives will be sold elsewhere other than O2 now which is great news

I have the red one and purchased direct from OnePlus. Very happy with the handset and the quality is immense. Cannot fault the speed and power of the OS and with the recent upgrade to Android Pie it's still running great.

The a6000 model is the Chinese model. A6003 is the global version. This does have band 20 apparently, but I think it means someone as flashed the Chinese os off and put the oxygen os on. I always get nervous when hearing this.

It is a usb 3.1 cable, unless you mean transfer speeds, and it seems very fast. The Poco thing does not have Android 9 yet, and it not guaranteed to get 10. Also the camera does not support 4k 60fps according to gsmarena. So there are chunks in its armour. Also the notch is iPhone noob size.

Ffs give it a rest mate

Which is best phone about?

They might just fob you off if they know you don't need a VAT invoice to claim the VAT back, but worth a try.

Cheers mate. When the 6T comes out in tempted to get one or maybe a 6. A 20% will be great haha.

No it is OnePlus that evade VAT in the EU, not Amazon. They store their stock in the EU (Poland). Hence normal customers do not get charged VAT (Free trade in the EU), if they shipped from the Far East then you'd be paying import tax/vat etc. Here you go: "VAT registration You must register for VAT in the UK if you’re: selling goods as a business activity that are in another EU member state (known as ‘distance selling’) and your sales to UK consumers are more than £70,000 a year. Register by post using a VAT1A" This. Plus they should just be registered for VAT in the country that they store the goods. There is no limit there, as soon as you store goods (even if its £1 worth) you have to register for VAT in that country. Hopefully someone finally cracks down on it to be honest, it is a lot of money that they are getting away with. You can find more info if you just google "Oneplus VAT invoice". Or: HMRC made Ebay and Amazon crack down on this recently. Hopefully they finally get around to OnePlus, I reported it years ago.

Are you saying order from OnePlus' website and do this? Or to do it through Amazon? I thought OnePlus were based in the far East so wouldn't have to pay VAT?

very good price for thos famous phone ! Full HD+, SnapDragon 845, RAM 6Go, 64 Go, 4G (B20/B28) link to deal : LINK TO DEAL coupon code : GB$MBDPONE

What is the probability of being caught with duties and taxes? How much is it 20%?

Is it worth it? It's an almost pure android OS, a OLED screen and doesn't struggle with HQ YouTube feeds. The nerds will tell you that it cannot display to a larger screen. If you factor in the extra 20% import tax (assuming it arrives) you still have to make your own conclusions. HUKD is about informed advice not forcing your opinions on others.

Nonsense. Total nonsense. No one but you cares about plugging their phone into a TV with a cable. Nuts.

Hmm, pocophone hasn't got NFC, which is a deal breaker for a lot of people (me included). Also, the finish of the pocophone isn't upto the same level as the OnePlus, sorry but plastic is just a bit underwhelming when it comes to the aesthetic experience of ceramic, aluminium or glass. It's your opinion sweety, your welcome to it ;)

The software alone is almost worth the extra £100, then add the better screen, better support (already on stock pie) better cameras, dash charge., Better quality build. I would say it is worth the £100 easy.

OnePlus 6 - MIRROR BLACK 6GB RAM 64GB ROM 2 £348.75 @ Gearbest
Found 9th OctFound 9th Oct
Been looking to upgrade from my OnePlus+ and found this, the camera is good and its got all the 'standard' flagship features at a great price

NFC is missing. Microsd is not really an issue for most now as a lot of people stream and you probably won't see much difference with USB 3.1, you'd notice a difference only if you move files quite a lot from your phone to pc and visa-versa.

I've just pm'd you

Looking to sell my used but pristine OnePlus 6 128gb mirror black for the same price if anyone's interested PM me! Need to downsize as I've had enough of carrying big phones. Has full UK warranty. If you're coming from smaller devices it definitely takes getting used to.

Very tempted, I'm presuming no warranty though and possible customs charge?

I know that there is an issue with the camera not focusing as they will replace the faulty part on the camera free of charge even when it's out of warranty but I must be the lucky one as mine hasn't developed that fault yet, the only issue I had was the GPS took a bit longer than usual to get a fix on my location after an update but oneplus dropped another update soon after to fix it I'm not a fanboy of any phone manufacturer so I just give a honest account of my experience with any phone

I know you didn't, OP fans always say they didn't. But as I said there were certain issue that effected all devices and OP went to print on them. And then there are certain hardware issue you can not escape, focus hunting was one of them and every person I know that had a OP3 had it and even the.most rabid fanboys on the forum couldn't deny it. I don't know why people deny such things, when the manufacturer tells you the issue exists. Poor reception, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth were also topical talk on the OP forum as well as many other forums. As they always are on every OP device. (y)

If that was meant for me I can say that I haven't experienced any of those issues, and don't put me in the bracket of people who settle as I'm the first one to complain when something I spend a lot of money on falls below what I expect. Like I said I've had this phone for 2 years and I still don't feel a need to upgrade which has never happened to me before

Yes there are experiences and then there are facts and the OP3 had and still has issues that effect all devices. The variety that the company went to print on, that fans seem to never have experienced for some reason. :/

We each have our own experiences realdeals, that's why it's important to come on here and share them. I agree regarding device management to prevent slowing down, but feel my OP3 requires less than other devices I've owned.

Seems a good price - not as good as mrswitch's £324 recently. Has Band 20 unless I'm reading it wrong

Also usb 3.1 and micrsd

What is the difference between this version and the one you can purchase direct from OnePlus UK website?

Is there really no warranty on this device?

The OnePlus 6’s build quality is a lot better than the Pocophones’s plastic materials that remind me of a Samsung S5 that’s why it’s cheaper the Pocophone has good internals but I think they have gone a little far with the externals. Some people aren’t bothered how a phone feels but I don’t want a phone that feels like something from 2012/2013.

I was really interested in the Poco but I think that OnePlus 6 is worth the extra. Better software Better display. Better quality. Better camera. Better charge (usually would put stuff like this in but dash charge is amazing) Only areas I see Poco winning in is the battery size and price.

OK you are right, the OnePlus does not have USB 3.1 but honestly who cares? That is not a deal breaker for me and probably for many people. Even though I load up my phone with movies and tv shows, the USB port speed has not been an issue for me. OnePlus already offers fast charging via USB so I'm happy with that. As far as screens go... it's fine that you like LCD screens but I for one love OLED. I love the contrast, the over colour saturation... it looks better to me. So no I don't agree about the screen on the P20 being better (though I agree it is a beautiful LCD screen). Cameras are comparable... maybe the P20 is better at some things, maybe the Galaxy S9 is better at others, maybe the OnePlus is very good... point is, I would argue that the difference is so small, it doesn't matter (at least to most people). The pictures on my OnePlus are great, and I'm very happy with them... and I also understand that to take good pictures means knowing how to take pictures, as the camera cannot do everything for you ( i.e. understanding composition). I do not want my phone to be used as a computer, mainly because Android is not designed to be a desktop OS. I'm happy to use Windows (on a laptop) and Android on my mobile device. This is something the Microsoft never understood (trying for years to put Windows on tablets), and Apple seems to get (OS X and IOS continue to be separate). Try not to focus on one particular feature (like USB 3.1) keep in mind that if you use your phone as a desktop you are in the minority, and look at the whole pictures (including price). That's how I judge a good phone. Having said all that, the P20 is an amazing phone and I'm sure I would be happy to own one.

No, they are both worster than amd ryzen.

Then you can use camelcamel etc which are just for price comparison . This site is for review and feedback as well. I have right to my opinion and dont care about Oneplus sheep like you. To elaborate on this point...Google Photos allows you to upload unlimited high resolution photos and videos for FREE. I believe a vast majority of space occupied on most people's smartphone is predominately due to photos/ videos. Despite having 128 GB of space on my OP6, I've never really needed to exceed 50GB and that is mostly due to me being lazy and not deleting already uploaded photos/ videos.

It wasn't a dig, just interested, maybe there are other options. I use Google photos for photo management. It does various things behind the scenes to reduce the amount of space used on my phone, it stores them in the cloud, but I back them up myself too to guarantee maximum quality. The cached versions are of satisfactory quality, good enough to show people. My entire collection can be accessed offline while using less than 1GB of my phone's storage. With regards to music, no one needs all their music downloaded, you should have a fair idea of the album's you might want to listen to. Personally if there's one I feel like listening to that I don't have, then it's really a very minor inconvenience, a non issue, I can get it later. That's how a phone is used properly, there are tools designed to solve these issues, I learnt when 8GB was the standard, with no sd expansion.

oh thats sad. i have the 5T and would have bitten at this price especially with cc protection against faults

They've stopped taking pre orders now, so have bumped up the price, the people that pre ordered will get the email at some point. Expired.

Anyone giving shade to the notch should be aware that Oneplus at least gives you the option to turn off the pixels either side so that the notch isn't visible.

Your comparing the wrong phones. You should be comparing OnePlus 6 Vs Xiaomi mi MIX 2S. they're both the latest flagship's!

kazbar Think I still prefer the oneplus 6 for the price.

Pretty much all androids now give the option to 'turn off' the notch if it isn't your thing, can't even tell it's there on my P20 pro with it hidden

Look at any phone thread, nobody says "I just bought a new phablet" etc. It's either a phone or a tablet, depending on how you use it.

OnePlus 6 64GB Mirror Black 4G, Unlocked B @ CEX - Webuy
Found 7th SepFound 7th Sep
Good price for a Grade B. £79 less than RRP, unlocked. Unsure again on B grades from CEX, but I'd take a risk at this price. If it's bad send it back.

they buy a b as a c and then sell a c as a b. this is a well known cex scam. it's worth to buy from them anything by cash. That's fine if you pay by vouchers.

Cex only gives A Grades to phones that come with the original box and charger. Although some B Grades can be pristine, they will still give that grade to phones with damages to the housing as long as theres no scratches on screen or scratches on back

Some cex will offer you a cash discount at the managers discretion (10%)

From what I can see on, it has all the 4G bands that UK operators use and the rest of the specs are the same. So should be OK to use here. Warranty issues might be a different story but OnePlus do seem to do right by their customers.

I agree with you regarding the Poco F1 good specs but the build quality is not up to OnePlus specs.

I have an S8 Plus and I am ditching it for a OP6. The software is miles better, dash charge is unrivaled, build quality just as good, better camera and speakers, better update stream and faster unlocking capabilities. Honestly don't care about the gimmicky crap as it's a decent daily use phone. Marketing plays wonders with selling features most don't use everyday. Yes the screen is better on the S8+, but the battery life isn't. You win some you lose some, but the OP6 is pretty decent all things considered.

Now it's the my friend said thing, you what that is? Rumour without something to substantiate it. What type of repairs? Broken screen? Broken glass back? Shock damage? The 5T was a midranged phone no more, with a second rate 1080P screen that had touch latency and .a second rate camera. It s just reshelled OP5, it was ok nothing special quality or technology wise.

Lol OP had exploding and expanding batteries too. :D Infact nearly every Oem has (y)

You have a selective memory, remember this? Samsung battery fires

OnePlus 3 user of 2+ years here. Incredibly happy still. No issues whatsoever and the updates still coming thick and fast. Best phone I've ever bought, although it was slightly cheaper at 330 back then. It's also definitely paid for itself being on a 10 quid a month sim only contract.

So definitely is slightly better but I wouldn't say it destroys it. Apart from the flagships like Samsung, pixel, iPhone etc it comes comparatively close to it. For the price you cannot complain at all. I've come from oneplus 5 to note 9. Note 9 has a better camera but it's not that much better. My brothers oneplus 6 only lags behind slightly in my opinion when taking every day normal photos

L on

I'd disagree there, been using the op6 since pre launch pop up sale. Taken nearly a thousand photos and over a hundred videos in various countries. In excellent lighting conditions, eg clear skies sunlight , it takes good pictures(not flagship quality) and decent videos, has focusing issues though. In medium/low light, eg daytime indoors with limited sunlight, or night time no sunlight and artificial dim lighting it's terrible, especially videos. My 1st gen Pixel outdoes it, the S9 which my colleague has been using side by side as me destroys it in every aspect. Not a OnePlus hater either having owned a OPO, op3 , op6 and brother owns 5t. Only got the op6 as I wanted a newest SoC, near stock dual sim ( travel for work) asap . However going forward will have to sacrifice the near stock os and go for a Samsung unless Pixels come in dual SIM in the future, highly unlikely. If camera isn't a priority than its still a good price to performance.
