Once upon a time, premium phones meant premium prices. Now, thanks to brands like OnePlus, that rule no longer applies. Models like the OnePlus 7 and its big brother, the 7 Pro offer high-end features at affordable prices. From cameras to processors, they compete with iPhones and Galaxies, and can often be found at huge discounts via the hotukdeals OnePlus 7 listings. Read more

My bro bought the OnePlus 7 from John Lewis last week for £550 so this is . significant saving. Not sure if his is also the GM1900

Oh ok. Well it’s worth the money but camera annoyed me

Oh, OK. I had an issue with videos my OnePlus 6 and thought you had a simar problem. Anything above 1080p@25fps caused lowlight problems. Photos have been fine for me.

That's a real shame. The stock camera is below par for sure, but if you add the GCam app (see the attached thread at XDA) and look at some of the XML configurations, it can actually become very, very good. I agree it's a pain in the *** and shouldn't be necessary, though. Otherwise, the phone is brilliant.

Didn’t try videos only photos

I'm in the Mate 20 X club! There may be other options but I see it as a worthy successor for the Axon 7. (Great stereo sound, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a bigger screen and battery). Enjoying it so far, just putting it all together. Testing the stereo speakers (with the USB-C cable inserted) reminded me why I'm sending back a Mate 20 Pro (one stereo channel comes out of the Mate 20 Pro's USB-C slot, and having the lead connected muffles the sound - the Mate 20 X doesn't suffer from this handicap).

Amazing definition what a camera.

I highly recommend the mate20x. amazing battery and cooling technology. and giant screen makes everything better. and the camera is great(last time on our visit to Cornwall, I superzoomed on the beach and you can capture "sands" are in fact all sorts of things)

Oneplus 7 £430 how get for this price ?

The very good mate 20 is a really good buy. I would go for it if I didn't purchase the P30 yesterday. 😁

If anyone's curious, I ordered on on 7th July, and the phone is still yet to be dispatched. About a week ago they gave me a date of the 18th August for dispatch, meaning it'll most likely be 2 months total between ordering and receiving the phone. They also have an estimated date of August 12-15 on the website, so it seems they are deliberately deceiving people in that aspect. All in all, communication is terrible, seems like they are deliberately deceiving with the dispatch dates and just not giving any updates about delays to your order, until you contact them. No apologies in any customer service either, just "It's delayed. You can exchange or you can wait." Would never ever recommend Gearbest again. Terrible company, but I'm in too deep and nowhere else does the phone for anywhere near as cheap. I can wait another month now, but I'd tell anyone else to just stomach the extra cost and get it somewhere else.

Can only get it for £384.95

Surely import tax is gonna be insane on this

This pretty much proves that 'most' people vote on the headline as it has already been stated (& confirmed by myself) that this isn't in stock and should ship between July 29th/1st August.

Ah yeah, miui and oxygenos are like chalk and cheese, but if you csn get past the quirks of miui, I think you'll enjoy it.

Used the mi9 today, and the OS its just not as slick at Oxygen, however agree that for the price the mi 9 is great phone hardware wise.

Yeah, the 7 is just the 6t with a faster processor, which is one of the main reasons I wouldn't buy this.

Is that based on mainly the price?

Mi 9 for me.

This. MIUI is a terrible skin. OxygenOS is rated number 2, number 1 being Google's pure Android itself, which says alot.

Really shame that one plus heading the wrong way with their pricing scheme ...

Is it two times as good as the pocophone? No. Is it priced at twice the price of the pocophone? Yes. Oneplus started off as the cheap alternative to big companies, but is slowly and surely joining them as well. Xiaomi is the new Oneplus.

Only thing I dislike about the Honor View 20 is the rear fingerprint scanner (just found out ;( ). It even has an IR blaster which I loved on my LG G4. I keep on coming back to the P30 Pro,unfortunately. Too expensive for me though.

The view 20 with its bigger battery is a big selling point for me. There is only really the P30 Pro that beats it, flagship phones anyway. The Honor 20 will be interesting.

Triple camera, quad hd display, 90hz screen, full screen no notch, bigger battery, 12gb ram(overkill i know) and “10 layer liquid cooling system” which keeps phone cool when gaming/watching and charging at the same time. There might be a couple missing, i just mentioned what was on the top of my head.

Not watching the live event, but what in particular is missing from this version in comparison to pro?

Its a shame really, i had high hopes for the standard oneplus 7 because i didnt like the pop up camera, curved screen and paying over £650 for a phone. Looks like selling the oneplus 7 pro is their priority so they added all the cool features on the pro and not the standard :(

Yeah me too, is it impressing you?

Watching the event, looks like all the good features are going to be excusive for the pro variant.
