Would like to let anyone know if you're looking at purchasing this enjoy a life of hell lol. Had recently gotten rid of this after ripping my hair out over the poor quality slats and plastic clips to go with it all (I had purchased better quality replacement slats elsewhere but still did not solve the issue with the plastic - The plastic is too flimsy and will drop the slats out of place or straight through the bed). The lift mechanism with it was unsafe after less than regular use after around 3-4 months would basically fall with its own weight shut rather than slowly close as it should. As previously mentioned to get a standard double mattress on this is far beyond reason. I luckily managed to fit mine on it but had issues caused over time with the headboard bowing backwards out of shape. All in all do yourself a favor and save the headaches take a look elsewhere it may be worth spending the additional money. Down the line I wish I did for this and replaced it with a divan based bed... back to happy night sleeps and no stress for the god awful flat packed heaven we call ikea! Note - I actually love a lot of Ikea's furniture just their beds as of recent experience with myself and family members have been well... (poo)

They dont carry ANY euro size mattress in stock, at least not at either my my two nearest stores; they have gone UK size only; however with Lidl/Aldi selling euro sized sheets dirt cheap, go for the larger euro size. Assuming they are making the frame to the original standards, this is a solidly made (very heavy!!) bed; my Euro-king sized is ~18 years old and showing only minor wear issues at the point where I tend to sit (a bit of the veneer has worn away on the very edge). I am fairly certain it will outlive me.

Great as a shoe box in the hall.maybe buy 2 and put them together one for shoes one for hats, scarves and glove size in the winter? Or use use as a sewing /craft box line it with thick polythene and store small logs in in in the living room for the log burner, keep the room tidy? Lots of uses , ........just think “outside the box!” (lol) (lol) (lol) sorry I’ll get my coat!

Comes up at £39 for 4 and it appears the price has increased.

Using these for my laundry and keeping my rooms tidy. Look quite nice and takes my 90kg no problem.

Not sure where the maximum weight of mattress comes from. Mine has almost 270kg on it.

I have Ikea mattress, which is about 70kg. And the bed is almost exactly like this (different fabric and shape of headboard) - all fine.

The solid base would need a substantial mattress (unless you like a really firm bed) which might take the mattress over the weight limit. Something like this with a sprung slatted base probably would be better (and cheaper).

Tempted, but wanted a latex mattress and it'll probably weigh more than 55kg.

Yes, it was a bit of a disappointment how low the mattress sits, their thickest mattress topper helps a bit. Quick intense shin pain is something I am very familiar with, but continues to surprise me! (excited)

Was keen on this but then saw it in store. The headboard is not very tall so your head would be leaning against the wall when sitting up. Still decent quality though and will be purchasing a malm desk and drawers.

Agree with Besford - the sides are very wide and hard, and even with the mattress on the higher of the two positions its still pretty low.

You’re lucky as last night it wouldn’t give me the discount but I did get the discount without the app but then I paid delivery. Out of stock where I am now. Took a minute to open and set up.
