Logitech G533 Gaming Headset with Wireless DTS 7.1 Surround Sound - Black, Used-Very Good - £44.95 at Amazon warehouse
Posted 2nd JulPosted 2nd Jul
Not a bad price for a very good condition and quality headset.

Managed to claim the Logitech free stand offer even on my used purchase btw - not a game changer but a nice to have ...

I'm calling BS on that response. My point, that you were responding to, was - Surround sound is such a fundamental factor, it should be writ large, and one should not have to search to find that it's simulated. The cost has nothing to do with it. That's true whether it's a tenner or a grand.

Ok I should have added "at this price point" to my original comment

You mean like these? https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Nintendo-3DS-2DS-Headsets-Headphones/ASUS-Surround-Gaming-Headset-Station/B00SFUMI1G Not so smart now eh?

They're all virtual surround, even the ones with multiple speakers in each ear have to fake it as they're so close together they may as well be a single speaker. Virtual surround has actually got very good over the last couple of years.

Not sure tbh, I only use them on ps4 for single player gaming. On pc they work as a normal audio device. I'd say they are betegr than the turtle beach due to the design and parent company. I suggest to check amazon reviews, should highlight the problem if it exists.

Can you help? I have the 450 Stealth https://uk.turtlebeach.com/products/stealth-450-headset The separation between chat and gameplay audio just plain doesn't work on them... How are they on the HyperX Cloud? Thanks in advance! :)

Bought these after owning cloud 2s and cloud alphas. No noticeable drop in quality whatsoever and the freedom of not having to worry about extremely annoying wires tangling up is great. Would recommend

Any good ?

Agreed, they go as low as £50/£55 if I remember correctly

this is not a good price

Mine coming upto 4 years old now, apart from the "leather" headband flaking they are still going strong.

I have the cloud x with a astro mixamp. Sound is amazing.

good value all rounder, been using mine for 18months now, zero problems still look great. i used to use £30 headsets and they would deteriorate over time. These also support virtual 7.1 sound which is super loud! It did take a while for that support to be added too the ps4 though, so i wonder if it will work right away with PS5 if your looking for a futureproof pair.

Randomly resetting mid use (so you would be in a game and loose sound for around 5 seconds), constantly unpairing itself, a different type of unpairing where you would have to do a full hardware reset, where you come to switch it on and nothing would happen until you did a full hardware reset. I remember the final straw was that DTS / Dolby would switch off randomly mid game (most lightly software). There was also a bug with the firmware (it got fixed) where it would turn off after 5 mins of idle with no way to control it. The software was also garbage. It's been a few years since I had it but that is what I can remember. Have a Steel series Artris 7 for around 1.5 years and not a single issue. Worth noting that although Logitech swear blind that there hadn't been any hardware revisions, each one I got had something physically different about it so that was a lie too (new box, different charge cable, the area battery in was different etc). This was to stop me claiming for a refund after like the 2nd time.

Price gone up

That is very strange, what were the 6 different problems exactly?.

I warn u dnt waste ur money on these

TeckNet Mechanical Keyboard 88 Keys Full Anti-ghosting Gaming Keyboard - £24.99 Sold by BLUETREE and Fulfilled by Amazon
Posted 24th JunPosted 24th Jun
Great price for a mechanical keyboard. The keyboard uses Outemu Blue switches. I like TeckNet products. I've got a mouse already and it's much better than my previous logitech.

I have one, but bought an Anne Pro 2 shortly after as that was the keyboard I really wanted. It feels awful in comparrison to the Anne Pro 2 (brown switches) and for me, it was a bit of a waste of money, but I suppose I have a backup. For those with NO budget I suppose it might be worth it. I know the Anne Pro is more than double (bought for £60) but it really is worth the extra money. So much so, I bought another one for work.

I've had one of these for 6 months and not long bought its bigger brother. Superb keyboard get the mouse as well!! Really love the feel. Yes are blue switches, yes is click, yes is ultra value for money, heat heat heat at this price.

Any good though?

But what's the point in having a mechanical KB if nobody can hear it eh?

Yep, my Mrs uses this kB and it is very clicky

Astro A20 Wireless PS4 Headset - Black & Blue - £94.99 at Argos
Posted 24th JunPosted 24th Jun
Saw these online @ Argos Down from £ 149.99 to £ 94.99 a good deal if U are after wireless Headphone. (y)

You can either use it on PC or PS4 not both at the same time if that's what your asking though you can have it connected to both at the same time, and yes I am using the headset I can hear the in game sound and the chat on discord through the headset but using it on a PC.

So you have game sound on headset and and chat thru discord?

Yep it works with the PC there is a switch on the receiver to switch between PC and PS4 the blue astro a20's are PS4/PC and the green ones are XBOX/PC https://www.astrogaming.co.uk/headsets/A20-PS4.html#

How do you connect them to discord? Need pc beside?

Great headset for the money, took me ages to find a decent wireless headset with a good mic and this does the job super long battery life did me nearly all weekend without needing a charge an I'm talking 15 hours+ play, perfect for discord and skype just be aware if you have the new ps4 slim they don't have an optical socket on them so you have to buy extra bits like a hdmi/optical splitter for it to work, if your just using it on a pc then its a great headset. Here is some more info: https://blog.astrogaming.com/2016/09/astro-ps4-slim/

It does use a USB socket, you don't need it, the lump will get in the way, it is huge. Still it's cheap, it has lights so the PC gamers of 2019 know more RGB anywhere on the desk = more FPS.

Logitech G533 Gaming Headset with Wireless DTS 7.1 Surround Sound - Black £72 at Amazon

Great sound and build, also good value headset.

How do you connect these to the Xbox to use? Is there a way to use wireless these days?

seriously pleased with these btw - had some PX5's previously (albeit its a few years ago) that pretty much cost 3 times this but these blow them out of the water. Really pleased with the sound and only day 1 but the they feel solid and and comfy to wear.

I bought this for £85 14 months ago. Used daily, great charge and perfect sound quality for a wireless headset.

This is a really great mouse (y)

Up to £19.14 now

An absolute bargain of a mouse. It's not a premium one, it's not going round-for-round with the G Pro. But it's just really good at the basics, and for fifteen quid it's a steal. And has RGB, which is critical nowadays. ;) I keep a G203 in my laptop bag... And a K400 plus in my toolkit, and an old K400r for watching media and general non-gaming stuff at my folks' place. I've a G413 Carbon keyboard. (I had two but I resold one at cost to a friend in need.) I've a couple of Hyperion Fury mice. It's very difficult to go wrong with buying Logitech, especially when Amazon keep doing sales like this. Depends on what you mean by light gaming? I'd say no. Closest to this price range I'd recommend is the Logitech G305 Lightspeed. It's reasonably priced right now, reduced to £34 in the same Amazon sale. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Wireless-Lightweight-Programmable-Buttons/dp/B07CGNDZR3/ But for £15 you aren't getting wireless anything better than "Minesweeper" level of gaming. Any sort of latency and you'll likely notice. You're supposed to pick the right mouse for you based on your hand size and shape etc. If you can, try the mouse you're thinking of in the real world before you buy it. The flagship gaming mouse is probably the G Pro Wireless, at £130. It's the gaming professional grade gear. But there's also the Logitech G903 Lightspeed, which is more "gaming" aesthetic and less "business" looking, which retails for the same £130 but right now down to £80. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Wireless-Powerplay-Compatibility-LIGHTSPEED/dp/B073391Y22/ I had the opportunity to buy a G Pro Wireless for about £100 last year from the Logitech store, and I still regret not doing it. Logitech sponsor the London Spitfire (Overwatch League esports team) and there was an event, the Gilded Gala, which had exhibition matches and stuff. It was great fun. But Logitech went in HARD when they provided raffle prizes and goody bag stuff. They must have given away thousands of pounds worth of high end gaming gear, it was mental, although I didn't win anything. (I had a fantastic time though, so no complaints there!) And everyone got a ridiculous discount on the Logitech online store. The store kept selling out of the G Pro Wireless though, and whenever they had stock, I'd already blown my disposable income, and then the voucher expired. Kicking myself I didn't save up and buy it when it was more affordable to me. If you can, save up and buy whichever mouse you really want, because it's an investment. Largely an investment in you, because most people who use a mouse spend hours using it. I have since bought even more of mid-range Logitech kit though, so the whole "halo effect" and "sponsorship" marketing worked. (lol)

Love this mouse!

Logitech or Commadore? That's the question.

Logitech G935 Gaming Headphones £120 Currys
Posted 20th JunPosted 20th Jun
I want these, cheapest I have seen as more expensive on ebay.

the alphas are well like but arent 7.1 which puts me off - if you can collect you can get the alphas in black and gold for even cheaper i think https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/computer-accessories/headsets-and-microphones/hyperx-cloud-alpha-gaming-headset-black-gold-10180621-pdt.html but not really like for like as the 935's are wireless too which adds a chunk.

Go for the Hyperx Cloud Alpha instead, much better sound and quality. A lot cheaper than these at £83 from Currys. https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/computer-accessories/headsets-and-microphones/hyperx-cloud-alpha-gaming-headset-black-red-10168923-pdt.html?store=2434&&istCompanyId=bec25c7e-cbcd-460d-81d5-a25372d2e3d7&istFeedId=2928af81-b29b-476c-a180-ac5de265a98e&istItemId=wttwitair&istBid=t&srcid=198&cmpid=ppc~gg~1016+(PLA)+Gaming+Accessories~1016+(PLA)+PC+GAMING+ad+group~Exact&mctag=gg_goog_7904&kwid=GOOGLE&device=m&ds_kids=92700032249455326&tgtid=1016+(PLA)+Gaming+Accessories&gclsrc=aw.ds&&srcid=198&cmpid=ppc~gg~1016+(PLA)+Gaming+Accessories~1016+(PLA)+PC+GAMING+ad+group~Exact&mctag=gg_goog_7904&kwid=GOOGLE&device=m&ds_kids=92700032249455326&PLA=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw3azoBRAXEiwA-_64OjSOiSC0Wu6Cw96v_S7yF2TuUF1g2Cd68SUH2CmzmmBSTpA8mF7f-xoCrg4QAvD_BwE
