Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (9/10 pieces) Princess Wand @ B&M
LocalLocalFound 13th JunFound 13th Jun
Spotted these in B&M earlier today within the confectionary aisle.. Marketed as a birthday wand for girls but the chocolate is the standard Peanut butter.

These are disgusting. Americans don't have a clue about chocolate.

Then you don't get anything except for a brain scan

What if you’re gender neutral non Binary?

They had a label next to the box for a Blue version which I’ve seen before (shape of a star) but the box was empty for that colour variety

they also sell the blue in Cambridge store.

That would be 50p per 100g then, so more expensive. Personally I'll just got with the current Tesco offer of £1.5 per jar. Can get some crunchy and some smooth. Glass jar Keeps better Only 10p more per 100g than this, and no plastic and better storage.

1kg tub £5 from dolphin fitness, yeah it's hard work when you first open it (I tip it into our ninja blender) but it lasts for ages. Way better than the garbage with Palm oil in it.

Great find OP thank you. Forget palm oil!

Most excellent :-)

Try the Meridian peanut butter with coconut.... Bit more expensive but tastes amazing :)

I never said that WWF should be ignored: I even pointed to their own admission that using certified sustainable palm oil does not guarantee that it wasn't produced as a result of forest clearance, peatland destruction and use of deadly chemicals. I note you have chosen to ignore that statement and the comments by Greenpeace, which chime with RR'S criticism.

Not just me that was thinking an 11p saving on a £2 item didn't really warrant this level of heat then? haha No offence OP.

6% off?

So the WWF are to be completely ignored in favour of RR?? Rainforest Rescue just seem like a bunch of hippy vegans who love a good protest as a day out. Their Twitter account isn't even verified. (skeptical)

I think it was called Red Ape.

Whole Earth Peanut Butter Organic Smooth & Crunchy NAS or High Oleic 340g, Instore & Online £2 - Tesco
Found 13th MayFound 13th May
Reduced from £3, I bought in store (Hoyland, Barnsley) where they only had crunchy on offer but it's online as well and they have smooth NAS or crunchy NAS and High Oleic on offer.

I had another type subbed for this smooth one.. and it was one of the nicest peanut butters i've had, i eat it spoon fulls when hungry lol.

This is unbearable to eat (fierce)

The WWF are involved with RSPO. Who are Rainforest Rescue in reality? They don't even have a varified Twitter account (skeptical)

From another thread about this brand of peanut butter: Here’s what Rainforest Rescue has to say about sustainable palm oil, such as that used by Whole Earth, What about sustainable palm oil (RSPO)? Major palm oil producers and consumers established the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) in cooperation with the WWF. Members include Wilmar International, Cargill, Nestle and Unilever, and the label association is chaired by a senior executive of the Unilever Group (Dove, Knorr, Rama, etc.), one of the world’s biggest purchasers of palm oil that consumes an annual 1.4 million tons. The aim of the industry label is to promote the production and sale of palm oil even further and restore its social acceptability. The RSPO does not rule out the clearing of rainforest. Only primary and “high conservation value” (HCV) forests have been considered off-limits for palm oil plantations under the label since November 2005. An internationally recognized definition of HCV areas has not been established, however, and the transitions between primary and secondary rainforests are blurred in practice. Most of the social aspects that have been defined by the RSPO are general principles and human rights, the compliance with which should be self-evident. Nevertheless, farmers and indigenous people are displaced from their lands, threatened and arrested if they resist the land grabs. Compliance with the criteria is not reviewed adequately, and violations are rarely punished. Wilmar, the world’s leading palm oil company, is involved in 100 land conflicts and human rights violations in Indonesia alone. Sinar Mas, another major RSPO player, has cleared tropical rainforest all over the country for its palm oil plantations, and is still expanding rapidly. Climate protection is a consideration that the RSPO ignores completely. Greenpeace International considers RSPO to be “little more than greenwash”. In our view, the label essentially deceives the public.

From a quick Google, I think those vitamins and minerals are just what you get from the peanuts anyway i.e. nothing special added by the manufacturer. Can any nutritionists out there confirm?

Not really. Unless you regularly import your food or buy from foreign supermarkets. In the EU most GMO food is already banned and those which are allowed have to be clearly labelled. Anyhoo, in this case, take a look at Sun-Pat... look at the ingredients Peanuts 95%, Stabiliser: E471, Cane Sugar, Peanut Oil 1%, Sea Salt Now compare that with the USA Skippy brand: INGREDIENTS: ROASTED PEANUTS, CORN SYRUP SOLIDS, SUGAR, SOY PROTEIN, SALT, HYDROGENATED VEGETABLE OILS (COTTONSEED, SOYBEAN AND RAPESEED) TO PREVENT SEPARATION, MONO AND DIGLYCERIDES, MINERALS (MAGNESIUM OXIDE, ZINC OXIDE, FERRIC ORTHOPHOSPHATE, COPPER SULFATE), VITAMINS (NIACINAMIDE, PYRIDOXIDE HYDROCHLORIDE, FOLIC ADIC). ok a lot of that is vitamins for some reason but there's a load of other crap in there too.... and the GMO stuff isn't labelled you have to actually research the brand and ingredients to find out if it is or not. On the reverse, stuff sold in say Tesco has to have it quite clearly labelled that it contains GMO if it's one of the allowed ones. I'm not against GMO where it's useful. I just don't want to eat it.

A lot of things are GMOs. Its near impossible to avoid

I can only buy 720? Oh well, should see me through to July. Seriously, this stuff is worse than crack.

Stuff should be banned like this. No wonder there is so many life style related illness due to eating stuff like this. If people do like nut almond butter buy the decent stuff. It don't cost that much more. That is one big tub though. I would actually like this stuff I just choose not to put food that's processed in me or my family's body's. Might be boring for some people but healthy.

Well, that's debatable but you're right about it being super important to be happy so if you are enjoying what you're doing and it is making you happy then I say all power to you. It's worth noting that tastes change quite quickly and sugar in and of itself doesn't really have the nicest flavour. There are other things out there which have a nicer flavour yet are not as addictive as sugar and will allow you to appreciate the other things going on in food a lot more. As for eating healthy, with all the respect in the world, we're finding out all the time about things which we thought were healthy previously as not being so. Some people do indeed have a genetic predisposition to cancer. Normally, of course, they get it before they are in their 70s. Other people get it late in life and there's not much we know about how to prevent it, like prostate cancer which a huge number of men get in their late lives. There is a lot of information out there but you'll find that sugar feeds cancer and if you want to live a longer happier life and work against the whole 'life is too short' concept just a little by trying to extend it then you can read into it and find out more. I don't want to condescend or patronise. I don't want to tell you how to live your life, or what is best for you to do with your own choices. I think that there is a lot of personal responsibility out there. I'd only encourage you to make informed choices and avoid thinking things which leave you helpless, such as there's nowt you can do, when in fact there is an awful lot you can do and the research proves it. Why not take a look at something like "The China Study" if you just want to know some interesting things without much leg work even if you only use it for having interesting conversations and not to influence how you eat at all. All the best!

Life is too short to worry about artificial ingredients and sugar etc Life is about enjoying and living, my new hobby is food and cooking and taste is most important - what is the point of eating bland food?> My mum was the healthiest person alive she was in her 70's and did pliates, was a master of Thai Chi and ate the healthiest foods even refused to ever have a microwave oven and yet she died of cancer and my dad he was a sportsman played golf every day of his life almost and for a 70 year old man he was as good a golfer as many in their twenties even did a plant and a handspring when he was in his sixties when we slagged him off for having a big belly and he died of cancer early too so you see I have learned that it doesnt matter what you eat or do if god has it in for you then there is nowt you can do.

Pure meridian smooth peanut butter has 5.9g of sugar per 100g, this has 8.2g So only a touch from the honey. You're looking at 2.3g of extra sugar per 100g, so about one teaspoon in a whole jar. So a good teaspoon of honey in a whole jar. So nothing really.

Ditch this flavour!! Love the regular cornetto flavours but these are proper nasty!! Bought loads as they were so cheap - 5 adults and 4 grandkids all binned them. Peanut butter isn't everyone's cup of tea but my grandkids aged 3/3/5and 7 normally eat ANYTHING with 2 grains of sugar! (annoyed)
