rrrrrrrrrrr sorry sir, I think you miss my point. Also I did mention : I agree with you to some extension. All I am saying amazon is awful with 'After sales' services. you mention "We all knew..." , may I say: I don't think one could speak for other person as principal. Some people or some new user might not really view like yours. Or some might assume amazon as a big company like to reduce price to some stocks on purpose, as a matter of fact, such did happened before. also may I plead, if you are so considerable with amazon misprice, please do accept some people may not so careful like you not ordering lenses in such circumstance, in the end, they have to face all the music themselves not you nor I. thanks, you have a good day, I rest my case.
I agree that they would have known that this was a price error from day one, the same for me they actually moved the delivery date rather than cancel. We all knew the price was wrong and was hopeful that they would come up with the good, I certainly would not have ordered a lens till I got a dispatch email, I think by now all us guys on here know that, the contract is only formed once the goods have been dispatched. Agree they should have just cancelled, dont agree they are to blame for someone spending several hundred pounds on a lens for an item that was out of stock and mispriced.
I agree with you to some extent however please look at some details. It takes amazon more than 12 days to alert buyers price error (someone on that hotuk listing did get delivery so rest of us did not think otherwise). In fact I get the cancel email (3pm) on the same day of my supposed despatch date. Also they have the time to send cancel emails but no time to refund my gift balance (check 9pm, over 6 hours so I was forced to chase them). some like me, amazon already take my gift balance out so I have less money to spend at other good camera black friday deals . (lots of those lasts in a very short time frame, but I could not afford by then until my next pay day). As a general buyer, I feel totally let me by such poor services, I hope you agree with me.
Is that Amazons fault that you where daft enough to go and buy a lens for a camera that was a misprice and was not in stock. If I ordered a pair of swimming trunks that where out of stock and booked an holiday, would that be Amazons fault if they cancelled my swimming trunks lol
Amazon, you cheeky b...!
