I have a set of these - I love them and use them all the time! They're very convenient and comfortable. Battery life is good and so is sound quality. The only small negative I've found with them is the volume is a bit low even when on full volume, it's only been a problem when in very loud environments. Just looked back and I ordered mine in Oct 2015 @£61 - They're still working strong and still feel that was worth every penny at the price I paid so at this price definitely worth. Thinking I might get myself a backup set.

Pretty sure Plantronics have their own 2 year warranty and it amazing! Have sent back stuff in the past, and a replacement was delivered within a few days.

They even provided me with a DPD shipping label so not only free shipping to them but a guy actually collected it from my office!

If you still have the broken ones be sure to send them back!!
Good find OP. Sent my Bose Soundsport back for a pair of these - I use them for running but the Soundsport seal my ear too much and bluster too much in the wind.

These are the solder version by the looks of it but nothing changed between the old and new version other than the colours.
Came at just under £44 for me. Hopefully arrives and is worth it. Been wanting one for awhile

Nice watch...lame earphones and 150quid too expensive.....
Check out Huami Amazfit Pace reviews. Best of both worlds.

That it?! My knackerwd £30 pebble can do that.

It’s not all about battery life though. I really don’t know why battery is so important for smart watches. As long as it comfortably lasts a day I find it fine. Just charge at night or when in shower.
I returned this watch, was a learning curve, It wouldn't sync as you might expect and their cs was exceptionally poor.
If it matters...i have the headphones and they are brilliant.

heh, that does make this a much better deal!

The noise isn't a dealbreaker for me. I've also noticed there is a very faint noise from the left ear when it's completely silent, which I assume is the power circuitry as it sounds like an inductor. it pulses every couple of seconds

I think the headphones are permanently paired to the BT600 because slot 1 is the one that gets changed every time you pair to a different dongle. There's probably a way to make them forget slot 2 though

It does it when you move the volume slider and when you pause or stop/start music. It even does it when you switch them on and you hear the womans voice. Its REALLY irritating. My other few pairs of much cheaper buetooth headphones dont do it. There's probaly a proper word to describe the noises but Ive no idea what it is :DDont think i can put up with it tbh, anyone know how easy it will be to return them to BT Shop?

I've just got my pair and they do like all other wireless headphones - which is make a click/pop noise when it cuts out after music input stops. You also get background hum which you can hear when you have the volume down

I don't know why no company has bothered to fix this, it must be possible. These are £209 on amazon, and the adapter is £70 if you want it separate. I'm not sure these headphones are worth that much!

The range from the class 1 adapter is almost exactly the same as my cheap $2 dongle from china which also has aptX with the CSR harmony software. Sound quality is exactly the same but the included dongle has a bit more bass, they probably tweaked it.

Has anyone else compared bluetooth vs cabled? They sound 50% better when using a cable, much fuller sound and more bass overall.

They're not really full over-ear either unless you have very small ears

bought at £79.

Tried for 2 days.

Initially thought was too big and heavy.

The more I wear it, the more I like it. I only used earbuds normally, not used to wear headphones for long period. But this one is comfortable.

Good sound, good battery, the controls on the headphones are really good, really comfortable.

I am keeping them and consider taking them on my normal commute despite their size.

I am currently burn-in them for a week. I am looking forward to see the improvements on sound. They already sound great brand new without burn-in.

Only down point, Plantronics could design the look better.

But for £80 and everything else, I am more than happy. Highly recommend even at original price around £110.

Here is my review:

I was after a pair of wireless and noise cancelling headphones around the £100 mark. With my (low) budget my choice of headphone was limited to just two pairs, the Plantronics Backbeat Pro Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones with Mic and the Sony MDR-ZX770BN Wireless and Noise Cancelling Headphones.

My reasons for wanting both the wireless and noise cancelling features was that I needed the headphones for three tasks: Walking, Housework and Office (with occasional air travel).

The online reviews for the Plantronics are like Marmite i.e. you will either love them or hate them. I think this has a lot to do with whether you are an audiophile or not. When I first received the headphones I was aware after reading and watching other reviews that they would be bulky and heavy. I am not a fashion conscience person so I wasn't bothered by the look of the headphones, I just required them to serve their purpose with great sound. The Sony MDR-ZX770BN do look better if that is a key criteria for you and I do receive some odd looks if wearing the Plantronics outside due to their bulky size when on your head!

I walk a lot for health purposes not to mention when doing the housework (i.e. hovering) and I hated the wires of my previous headphones getting caught and tangled and having to sort them each time I put the headphones on, so the Bluetooth function provided by the Plantronics was a box ticked. As mentioned already they are bulky and heavy compared to other headphones. I tested them while out walking on two occasions. The headphones are not uncomfortable to wear however, sweat gathered on the leather cups around the ears and I had to take them off to clean them on a couple of occasions. I'm guessing that this would be a normal occurrence for any over-ear headphones due to the humidity in the area between ear and cup when exercising but it was probably also due to their bulkiness as well.

With my iPhone 5 I found the Bluetooth range was very poor. I couldn't even listen to the headphones between rooms without some jittering of sound. However, I tested the range with an iPhone 6 and it was fantastic, I was able to leave the phone inside the house and I could still hear the music outside! Obviously the iPhone 6 has a better Bluetooth technology than the iPhone 5?

No one likes to hear the hoover through the music so with the Plantronics having the Active Noise Cancelling ability another box was ticked. The headphones with ANC activated certainly reduced the impact of the white noise, obviously not removing it completely (I don't think even then Bose Quiet Comfort can achieve this?) but enough to enjoy the music without too much distraction. Within my office I have to put up with the noisy air conditioning unit every day. The ANC completely stops this white noise from reaching the ear and you can listen to the difference quite clearly when the ANC is deactivated. In terms of other office noise i.e. work chatter, phones etc. you can still hear these although at a much duller level and if listening to music loud enough you barely notice the noise.

The OpenMic feature works wonders when you do need to speak with a work colleague and you can tune into everything around you at an amplified level without anyone else noticing! If I have to take a landline call in the office I can simple place the headphones around my neck and music automatically turns off. When I place them back onto the head the music resumes which was one of the major selling points these headphones had over the Sony's. Obviously for mobile calls you simply use the headphones to take the call with a touch of one button on the right ear cup. Holding this button down for 3 seconds activates voice command (in my case Siri) and you can obviously make a call this way without having to touch your phone. The headphones also have a DeepSleep function which hibernates them if the headphones are removed for an extended period of time without switching them off extending the battery life further (if it wasn’t already good!).

I haven’t used the wired feature of the Plantronics as yet although I tested them and it worked fine, to play and control music as well as taking and receiving calls. As the battery life of the headphones is so good you will only ever need to use the wire when on an airplane. In wireless mode the music can be controlled with the nicely designed controls on the headphones without any fuss.

The Sony MDR-ZX770BN Wireless and Noise Cancelling Headphones looks wise are much nicer, lighter and importantly cheaper than that Plantronics Backbeat Pro Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones however, for around £20-£30 more the Plantronics provide quite a lot of extra features which are worth the extra expense (including the ability to connect up to two bluetooth devices at the same time which I had not previously mentioned). I cannot comment on which headphone between the pair provide better sound and noise cancelling so if you can test these yourself in a store please do (I couldn’t find the Plantronics in any stores!). I must add however, that the Plantronics are great (in my opinion of course) in both of these aspects.

The size and weight of the Plantronics are the reason why I didn't rate the headphones 5/5 but you do have to remember that the battery life on these are top of the charts. One charge lasts a heck of a long time (even with ANC activated) and hence the large lithium ion battery is the reason for the weight and size of these headphones.

The manufacturing and purchase of these headphones is a balancing act which hasn't quite reached 50/50 yet, so purchasing them would depend on whether you feel having a great battery life with a ton of cool features is more important to you than bulkiness (and looks) of a headphone. For me, I am going to purchase another cheap pair of Bluetooth only headphones for my walks however, I am keeping the Plantronics as they are a great pair of cans for everything else I need them for.

I got these, sound is great, connectivity is great, voice is good, feature-wise it's perfect, but I find it too bulky for taking outside. Bose Quietcomfort 25 are not bluetooth... Beats I haven't tried. I think I will return the plantronics, given that for around the house I got some Sennheiser RS180 which I find very comfortable and great-sounding. I ordered some AKG Y45BT from amazon.it for 96 euro, and a Sony SBH60 from amazon and see which one I like the most for taking out. Bear in mind this is from someone who likes things to be small and lightweight, my other headphones are px100, koss sportapros, I really prefer open backed headphones. If you want something light and over-ear I would get the Bose ae2w, or the on-ear which fold and have a nice carrying case
Tempted by these, the Bose Quietcomfort 25 or the Beats Studio Wireless (the only one of these 3 I've heard and I actually quite enjoyed the basier sound). Irrespective of price (as bargains can be found in Europe), does anyone know which is the better headphone?
Got my replacement cans......I LOVE THEM!!!!.....Also got the Brainwavz headphone case from the world of amazon...fits the headphone perfectly.

For me the size and weight are not a problem at all....build quality is great, ANC works a treat on the oh so noisy london underground, so a definite thumbs up on the ANC front :O). I just love all the features.

Connection to my note 4 is instantaneous!!!!. I've used loads of BT head / earphones in the past, and these connect faster then anything I have used in the past. The BT connection is also rock solid.

Sound quality is lovely too....but no one really buys such devices for the sound quality ;O)

Hope this helps :O)

Putting out very good quality sound, but the cups over the speakers are a bit of an awkward fit, difficult to get them to form a seal around my ears. Can't complain though. Thanks for posting OP!
