All Prague Discounts, Offers and Sale - October 2018
I went ahead and booked and paid for the deal anyway. Then I got call from the travel agent who said the original deal was sold out for January. Instead he booked us a trip to Venice in a 3 star hotel with breakfast 2 weeks later instead :)
Sorry Im a bit confused. I bought the voucher however I have to redeem it to book the hotels and flights. What if the flight times are horrendous? It really should be more clear what it is that we're booking. I know there is a 14 day cancellation option. If some one can confirm what the options to fly out are then that will help me decide whether to redeem the voucher or just cancel it.
Hmm... you lot are worrying me - i might cancel it as well if i have to add on ££
dont know about winter but in summer it's overcrowded tourist trap and i found a lot of places added extra charges on, which would be took off when questioned.
Prague is great. Their Christmas market I've always thought rather disappointing. Doesn't compare with Paris, Berlin etc
If Im getting a taxi in Prague, it had better be FAKEtaxi, preferably with LadyBug driving.
Shouldn't you be on some porn site rather than a community site trying to help people.
You can also earn 4.2% cashback through Topcashback :)
The Taxi in Prague Airport fares are different, the drivers are tried to rip you off. (Go to same place, but they charge whatever they wanted, you have to confirm the fares before you get in the taxi). If you haven’t been Prague before, the Taxi Driver will charge you £5 - £10 more than usual fares. They are crafty, be careful!!

Yes more people who avoid this company the better.Treat staff and customers with utter contempt
Ryanair?!?! (horror) Nooooooooooo!!! (lol)
Botel Albatros, on the left, straining its moorings, Prague floods 2002. Luckily, most of the Czech Republic's rivers are running dry, especially this year of course.
Stayed here 2 years ago on a Xmas break. Loved it! Prague is lovely and quite atmospheric. The markets are only a short walk away and the town is a great evening out.
We stayed at the Angelis, A1, opposite the Starapramen brewery......hic
What it like for end of Feb? Cold bearable? Two of us flying from Manchester with easyJet. With a B&b and all transfers worked out about 130 each. 4 nights.
The deal price stated not available..... cheapest now is £54 per person there other dates and venues of similar deals and price so nothing special about this one.... it in fact it ever did exist probably for the first couple who put the hotel on that date only
My daughter went 2 years ago early November and they froze. They expected cold but this was super cold. Hotel were giving heaters to rooms and extra blankets.
Gutted prices for flights have now gone up to £75 For 2 people! :(
The absolute snobbery on here is ridiculous at times. What is wrong with ryanair? You don't want to be seen travelling among commoners?? Yes of course ryanair charge extra for things, therefore you only pay for what you want and don't end up paying for things you don't care about like with other airlines. Why don't people understand this very simply concept? I've flown with ryanair dozens of times. Never had any issues with them whatsoever. My friend did have an issue with them recently where their flight was delayed by 4 hours, but after appealing for the compensation ryanair payed out the 250 euro within 7 days (whereas other airlines try to delay and delay and delay it until you just give up). It just seems like ryanair are one of those companies it's 'cool' to hate around here without any kind of sense or logic
I did based it on two people and I'd check the accommodation as sometimes you may end up paying the same price for a single person in a double room. If you don't mind hostels you may get better deals.
Usually these prices are for a pair, but try the above links by putting one person and check what prices comes up? Let us know... I would be interested. £200 for a week is a bargain esp in summer time
Can you book for just one person at £199.99 or does it have to be for 2 people at £399.99? (y)
Wow now this is tempting
Budapest and Prague were really good, weather is good at that time of the year too
Shame there is no option for a solo traveller, I wouldn't mind doing this trip at this price. I'd love to check out Vienna and Bratislava. I've been to both Prague and Budapest, they are both superb.
How fit are eastern block women. Goodnight.. They're the most beautiful in the world
what is vienna hotrod? I’m about to go there
heat for effort
Voted hot, because it looks like a great deal, but that's not the case. I cancelled my Groupon vouchers (you have 14 days to do so too for a refund). Below is the quote they gave me when I tried to book. Initially the offer you the most inconvenient flights. If you want to change them, you have to pay an upgrade of £38 per person... even though the flights are not more expensive than the ones offered when I checked on Ryanair's site. Although they advertise it as 4 nights, they expected me to spend one of the nights on a train or bus... when I objected, they offered a flight upgrade for £25pp.
Can’t understand how they’ve explained the dates,it’s ridiculous.
Has anyone used this deal before? Tempting deal....but I am a bit concerned about the flights, airports, timings and transfer. If anybody has any info regarding this. Please share.
I've had my fill of Eastern Europeans and I've only just been to Tescos.
Train... 14-hour overnight seater train with two changes... or 14-hour bus service... or you pay extra to upgrade to a flight.
Too much of a rush!
Nice trip and price, but I'm not going to vote because it's so specific. There's plenty of short trips to be found like that if you are prepared to put some work in.
You could get a travel agent to do it, and probably pay a lot more. I always book everything seperatly, that way you get to pick everything yourself and don't pay a premium.
I've used Ryanair many times (probably around 20 times) and besides being late once about two hours, I've never had a problem.
too much booking - booking this in one place for one price will be worth it
I really dobut that amazon UK is going to supply you with a region locked blu-ray. Pretty sure it will just work... :)
But there is contradictory information. In main description there is blu ray region A only. In detailed description there is All regions. But term All regions is usually used for DVDs. And detailed information can be generated automaticaly. Amazon.UK description is confusing. I assume that main description is right, but who knows?
I just checked on the UK site and it does say all regions.
Sounds great, but as the product listing suggests, be aware this is a Region A Blu-ray.
Track 7 = A bit o'class.
I'm going asap
There is far more to experience in Prague than the £3 saving on a beer. You would be missing out.
well apparantly a pint in Prague is just over a quid and Birmingham you pay around £4 ? I'd choose Prague
I haven't used them but my advice would be don't bother. I've posted on a few of these GoGroupie deals now because I feel it's important people know what they are actually getting for their money. Using this deal as an example, the cheapest flights out of Stansted for the dates quoted (Dec 11-13) are with Ryanair and cost £51 per person. The flight out leaves at 19:40 and arrives in Prague at 22:40. The flight home leaves at 07:05 so as kasewene has pointed out, you'll end up with just one full day in Prague. Hotel Aida has decent reviews but isn't central at all so you'll waste even more time travelling into the city. It's also available for £67 for the dates quoted, so the total cost if you book directly with Ryanair for the flights and booking.com for the hotel would be £84 per person - cheaper than this deal. If you're interested in this sort of break the best thing to do is use Skyscanner to find flights at an airport that works for you and then something like booking.com or expedia for the hotel. You'll be able to choose more suitable flight times and a hotel or apartment that's in a better location and/or better quality.
Been to both in January and both cities are cold and we loved it, the people in Budapest we found were much friendlier but the architecture in Prague is better and more colourful, either way you would have a great time.
People need to be aware that these deals aren't as good as they appear. Flights will almost definitely be late leaving on day one and early on the final day, significantly reducing the time you have in the two cities. The hotels will be very average, poorly located or both. They are just packaging up cheap flights with cheap hotels so you will be much better off buying them separately to suit your needs and maximise the time you have to enjoy the break.
One word springs to mind..... FREEZING. I went last November and it was freezing cold let alone going in January! Loved both cities though.
Lead price of 99pp is amazing for 4 Nights in hotels with a train in between. I booked Budapest Xmas Market last week using Gogroopie vouchers but this looks a better deal for discovering two places on a budget! Wish I'd waited now. Nice Find! (highfive)
Snap..as above done both cities last year. Loved Budapest and the ruin bars and city. Bit too tourist Prague especially St Charles Bridge. Not sure if I would go again but worth the money. Bit concerned on the deal being through groupie, in fact very worried it would go wrong once paid. It is off peak and it will be rainy and cold
Prague is fantastic and cheap when you are there. Will probably be Christmas markets at that time as well. Wish I could get the time Off! Voted hot.
i booked flights from liverpool to prague in november for about £45 return and got a full seven nights in a 3 star hotel for around £70 PP (based on two sharing), i'm not voting this deal either way but it might be better if a friday night and full saturday were involved, thats when the serious drinking happens right? the beer in prague is better than in budapest and the local people aren't so miserable.
I love Prague (been 3 times) but never been to Budapest. Sounds like I might be missing out.
Love budapest more. Prague is ok but so many cities better.
Remember to factor in the terrible exchange rate that's likely to get worse between now and then.
Be wary of booking.com. I travel a lot and some of the hotel/hostel scores are WAY off the mark.
Better if you look on booking.com for a slightly nicer/closer to the centre hotel imo. The pictures shown on holiday pirates' site aren't of the room you'd get for that price. I've found flights from Manchester on the 30th - returning on the 4th (Oct-Nov half term) for £80pp. Also found a nice hotel called Prague Holiday Apartments on booking.com for £239 for 4 nights.
For a two night break I think I'd look for a more central hotel but the flights are certainly a great price. Lovely city.
Great price and I would have booked this if it was available from NCL. Prague is a great city, but probably better if you can stay for an extra few days.
It was because the roads were very busy as there is no public transport other than buses. Walking around in hot weather and fumes. Didn't seem pedestrian friendly. Enjoyed it but one night was enough for me.
I really enjoyed it there, probably one of my favourite places in Italy. Amazing food, traditional markets, the views from the towers. That said it was over 10yrs ago when I was last there and it wasn't hugely popular.
I wasn't struck on Bologna, I stayed one night instead of two. Love Berlin and like to try other the other places.
Wow, great effort! What an amazing holiday.
The times are on the screen shots as I was doing it so not too long but I was watching TV at the same time so kept getting distracted.
ooops I typed 5th may and was checking out a day later 8th. I love seeing your deals.
Brilliant if you can get it cheaper, sometimes if you sign into your member account you do get discounts too with Ebookers. I use Ebookers a lot as they always have good codes.
Looks a brilliant trip to me. Love trains too :3
Had dealings with these before....added fees to Ryanair flights....better booking yourself...con merchants
very nice little adventure :)
I preferred Bratislava over Vienna, but Budapest is the best of the four in my opinion.
I see you talk from experience, how very cultural of you.
Not too bad when you reach the city centre. Very drab looking place from the outskirts though . Personally i'm not a huge fan of Budapest , Prague is awesome & yet to visit Vienna so unable to comment on that. Hot btw :)
Last week I was on the bus between Bratislava and Prague it was just over 4 hours. Comfortable bus with great WiFi and each seat has a tablet with Internet access, English language films, a few episodes of things like Friends and The Big Bang Theory. This was a company called Student Agency but bookings are not restricted to only students and cost about £10 each way.
Tiny battery on this go for a xiaomi instead same money double the battery life
looks nice but i'd draw parallels with the Lenovo ZUK Z2 recently posted here from Banggood. 5inch IPS touchscreen,1920x1080 pixels Snapdragon 820 Android 6.0, 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM that said i've been impressed with my HTC desire (ZTE Blade) and Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 (another ZTE)
I'd recommend watching this https://youtu.be/W_CdFjbxehU about how to get to and from the airport cheaply and other videos about Prague on the channel :D
Booked on for one of my mate's birthdays, ended up being £165 each including transfers but managed to get a fantastic 4/5* hotel. Not bad!!
The heading says bank holiday? Hardly a bank holiday deal if you need to book an extra 2 days holiday.
i think every Liverpool fan needs a break after this bloody season :(
With all due respect, you should not use airlines like Wizz, Ryanair or easyJet to get connecting flights! They don't offer or guarantee connections, if you choose to use them, you do do at your own risk, any airline can suffer from delays.
Daughter flew them a few days back with very short notice - 2 hours. Charged £30 to check in as on line not allowed 3 hours or less. Luton to Warsaw, Warsaw to Tel avive - both two hours late... missed het Tel avid to Riyadh flight as result- slept the night at Ben Gurion Airport... Avoid these amateurs
Just booked for €51... Saturday night stay in Ljubljana with flights from Luton and breakfast included (_;)
Never been to East Midlands, then. That being said, yes it is awful. Stanstead is so much better it's almost funny.
Nicely said, Deeky. Some comments on these forums are just not necessary.
