Because they want access to a scart or RF socket ?

August (confused) They break down that much you need to buy them every month (cheeky) No idea why ppl bother with these nowadays when proper PVRs i.e. dual tuner and internal HDD start from £50 e.g. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/1-tb-hdr-hd-recorder-amazon-3340998 about double the price but about ten times more useful IMHO...

Limited recording functions, you need a usb pen or hard drive to record anything so factor that cost into the pacage.. Single Tuner. Cheap but woeful user expericience according to reviews.

Just to note that it needs an optional USB memory stick if you want to make recordings.

Maplins had thousands of scart sockets when they shut down. You automatically got a quality upgrade when changed socket from Scart to hdmi on the TV .

I agree it does look better than it used to do but didn't realise it was hd. Still looks sd to me but maybe it's in 720p (confused)

My5 now outputs in HD, at least it looks significantly better than ITV and All4.

Had one of these for about 4 months cant fault it does series link for record and works a treat

These in my mind are actually better than on demand. Apart from BBC iplayer the other mainstream tv apps (itv, channel 4 and 5 apps) only output in sd quality so at least these record all the Freeview HD channels and you can watch everything in better quality. Time they all caught up to the BBC with HD streaming (devil)

You try telling that that to the youngsters and they won't believe you (horror)

I use an old sky repeater which is plugged in next to my BT box, giving it an internet connection. We have 2 of the BT boxes, they have been great for us. One is probably 3 years old with the other about 2 years old.

I'm afraid the app has been removed from Play store. Had the pc version on my windows tablet but that has stopped working now. The only way I can use TVMan now is on my old android tablet. You could do a search for the APK files on Google.

Oh hey, how did you set up the Noovo TVMan? I can't seem to find the app on the Play Store?

Yes still got mine. Still recording on it. Think it's great for the price we paid.

This must be slightly different to my version of this. As I do have BBC 1 HD and others. But it's decent. If you don't like noise though it's not for you as the fan is small and quite loud on boot and sometimes when recording. iPlayer works ok but interface a tad slow. It's worth the money for 1tb version I feel.

OK we had virgin tv etc. Not available where we now live so we have now bb. We are watching the ads! So frustrating itv player! What do we buy please? Sony 55xe8396 Sometimes we will want to record two programs at once. Or watch while recording. Not tech savvy! TIA x

Fair enough... I maybe spoiled it for myself by going in with higher expectations. All VR games are stereoscopic but I don't know what otchkies are (confused)

Tbh vanilla Tetris with trippy distractions sounds right up my street. I like my games repetitive and dull. (y) I'm also hoping it supports 3D otchkies as I think all VR games support 3D?

TE is overrated and I'm glad I bought it on disc because I traded it in after 2 plays. I was expecting some decent use of VR (like Superhypercube) but it's just vanilla Tetris with trippy distractions. I suppose Pinball FX2 VR is the same but there's something satisfying about being stood in front of an actual pinball table.with that game.

Or folk should do their research before getting sucked in by advertising? It is really that simple.

Try ginger tea! I've heard a fan blowing in your face can help too. I used to have really bad vr sickness, for example with gran turismo sport, but just play in very short bursts and stop immediately if you feel sick and you can improve.

Gaming's so much cheaper now than it used to be. And it can't really be argued that the writing on the box isn't misleading. But yeah, there's a demo on the Japanese store that I've played...it's pretty good. Not quite the stomach churning sense of speed many spoke about, but still quite decent vr. All the more a shame it's not the full game.

Yes. It almost makes you feel the G force when you turn. Do it sitting down and breath through mouth. That helped.

Well most people would read up on a game before buying anyway given how much they cost these days. Btw the vr is unbelievable. I've only done the first mission which unlocks free flight mode so you can fly as much as you want after that.

Absolutely. The game looks better without VR because of the splitting of the resolution between each eye. But VR is definitely a great addition to the game

Think I remember using that link years ago when making a list. Because I mainly only play exclusives on PlayStation my list is possibly only games that are not on 360. It helped to have this list to mainly concentrate on the PS3 games that had trophies, especially online trophies considering so many of the servers were closing down. I would still play these games even if they have no trophy support - Heavenly Sword, MotorStorm and Resistance: Fall of Man were a few I really enjoyed. Thanks for the reminder of that link :) Will hold onto it for future reference.

This may save you some effort: http://ps3trophies.com/forums/general-ps3-discussion/11413-list-playstation-3-games-without-trophy-support.html

Thanks :) I have a list of PS3 games without trophy support and looks like Puzzle Fighter is going to have to be added... Sega Golf Club Siren: Blood Curse Tears to Tiara: Earth's Wreath Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection Time Crisis 4 Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom Valkyria Chronicles Wangan Midnight Winning Post 7 Maximum 2007 Winning Post 7 Maximum 2008 Yamasa Digi World DX

It's not listed on any trophy tracking sites as best I can tell, so probably not. Certainly, the game released before trophy support became mandatory in 2009.

Not even worth looking for when similarly compressed files on Youtube from cameras costing less than half of the price of this look far better!

To be fair you'd be better of judging this by the raw files, no the compressed cocked up YouTube version.

If this is what you get, keep your money in your pocket!
