Amazing game. So detailed. Isn't a short ride, but great if you're patient.

Bored the pants of me; each to their own

Nice work on your first post, @Anand1 ! I've added a little info for you :)

I loved the first one. But this is a mess. The story is pretty redundant knowing the evevts of the first game and the gameplay is just too damn slow. If you're not enjoying it at 20% in, I doubt the other 80% will change your mind.

Well aware. This is my own personal opinion obviously.

You mean you think that, while a majority of the gaming community and almost every critic thinks the opposite. It has 97 on metacritic for a reason.

Seems like one of those games with polarising opinions. Half say it's the best thing since sliced bread, the other half will tell you it's overrated garbage. In any case, RDR1 was a masterpiece that never split the gaming community so much as this one.

Yeah was running around shooting everything for pelts then noticed the stars for perfects. Blasting squirrels then read you needed light arrows. Baiting legends then read I needed to look for poo. Not to mention the UFO I encountered today.

Yep. The animal spotting was what I found most addictive. Such an incredible 'world', I still think about it months down the line.

My brother has been telling me to get the game for ages. The thing that puts me off is the sheer scale of the game - I don't really have the patience to spend months, years playing the game. I play intermittently - it takes me ages to complete games. Took me a year to complete Spider-Man, currently playing God of War, I gave up on Uncharted 4 because I kept dying a lot. (y) Anyway I digress. Having said all of that I caved over the weekend and bought it from Base - so now regret it. This is a much better deal. Heat.

Great game! Great price!

Just another few more quid drop and I may bite, lots of polarising reviews despite its critical acclaim (by and large usually because it has a R* logo on it).

Probably the best game I've ever played personally. For me the story is amazing, the world is so alive, graphically astounding. I've revisited a 2nd time recently and haven't been able to put it down again since. Trying to complete it before Last of Us 2 strikes, but what a game this is. Worthy of every accolade that ever comes it's way.

The controls aren’t “bad” but are just still the same as they have been for the last 20 odd years. Rockstar seemingly have made no effort to improve them or the character movement. Someone made a funny real life version of being a gta character but I can’t find it to link lol.

You could pay it off at the post office and if you need money steal a wagon and sell it, you'll get $40 each time, easy money if you ask me. Loving the game so far and it looks so beautiful on the One X

got it on xbox one game pass. Wished they gave on pc too. Its so tough with bounty hunters on my ass and I have $250+ bounty in every city. I just want 1 little cheat (embarrassed)

I think it is if your playing online. The horse you get in the ultimate edition for free is much better then the normal one your given. I have the ultimate and my m8 brought the normal and I was having to wait for hik a lot as his speed and stamina was far worse which isn't fun when you have to ride everywhere on a huge map. The free guns come in handy to. Making money online is much harder then it is in single player so a lot of grinding is required to get anywhere.

Would be a nice addition maybe one day and no worries

Don't buy ultimate edition it really isn't worth it

I waited until it was on GamePass to play it, and honestly I would have paid full-price on launch in hindsight :D Also thanks for making it clear it's a US VPN with caps :)

LOVED this game. Highly recommended

Damn, I pre-ordered this version for £89.99 so this is a great deal! If you're into Red Dead Online, the Ultimate edition has some bonuses that will help you get started (special horse, free weapon, clothes etc). As for Story mode content, its fairly limited but for <£30 this is worth it.

Thanks mate

No the extras are garbage. You get a couple of extra missions which really aren't worth it.

More money than the normal version of the game? Why not? The extras not worth it?

Same here, just can't play these massive games now. Lost all interest in final fantasy, zelda etc. Which is a shame as I used to love them.

I'm likely in the minority here but I'm finding it really hard to play these 80+ hour type games now, and it feels like it's becoming the norm. Too many games to play and they just keep getting bigger and longer, bordering on the tedious.

It’s probably about the right price for this game - I found the single player boring and repetitive and really slow but good price if you are in the market for the game

Blimey. I'd be lucky to get 60fps then on my card unless I really dial back the settings and resolution.

I have i7 6700k OC'd at 4.4ghz with a stock GTX1080. Running this game at 1440p and I have to keep the settings at a mix of medium/high to get 60fps (with the occasional dips). It is a very demanding game!

Will this run ok with a 1060 6gb? I heard the system requirements are ridiculous for this game, even though the recommended specs seem reasonable. Does it run ok at 30fps on PC?

Might take a year before its free on Epic store lmao

Got the game for £20 brand new from Amazon in December and wow what a brilliant game (so far). I've only recently started playing it on the One X and it looks absolutely beautiful graphically. Getting more and more into it and discovering new things every day! There is so much to do and I love how you can do things like buy train tickets, pay off a bounty at the Post Office, buy stuff from the grocery store, get a haircut, upgrade the camp, kill animals to cook I can go on and on. If only you could get laid lmao really surprised you cant

One of my fave games of all time. Packed with stunning environments, memorable characters, interesting random events, stories and mysterious places to discover outside the missions. It also has what might be the biggest and most realistic range of animals any game, just finding and spotting all the rare animals is a game in itself, I loved it. Plus the balloon flight mission. And that's not mentioning the story, which is a long winded epic but worthwhile. You have to be patient and be able to relax and take it at the pace it's intended to be played at. And that doesn't suit everyone. It took me a few plays to "get it". It doesn't explain itself well, the importance of the various systems isn't clear at times and the controls and menus are awkward at first. If it doesn't capture your attention, that's fair enough, it's not for everyone. But it definitely is NOT overrated.

If you wanted to you could get yourself a Xbox one set up with a GPU for as little as £140. £90 for a second hand VCR style Xbox one console from cash converters and then get 2 x Brazil codes for Xbox live from cd keys and when you set up your Xbox take up the £1 GPU offer, you will then have 2 years of GPU and countless games to download free of charge (y)

I named the PS4 titles earlier. PS4 exclusives will forever destroy Xbox exclusives, but hey, guess you can't appreciate what you never had. (lol) (lol) (lol) I'm done with you now, there's no reasoning with a rabid fanboy.

You go spend £21 on this amazing deal, I'll go spend £1 instead (highfive) ........labelled inferior games yet you think Red Dead 2 is 'good deal' (free on gamepass) that's a PS4 fanboy in plain site.....also you do understand Xbox doesn't include every game there is on GP, you can actually go and buy others too, but what is there missing for Xbox users that isn't sufficient? Theres so many good titles its impossible to even get onto them. No way I'll be switching back onto Sony unless they get with the times, I'm sure some of its userbase have already switched, although judging by this example maybe they should start trying to sell dvds or something too

£1 for one month for something inferior and extremely restricted, or a reasonable price for full control of your entertainment. I can afford to pay a reasonable price for good games. :)

Nearly all of those are also available on PS4 and have been for years, long before GamePass was even a thing, lmao. So veteran gamers have likely already paid for and played all of those and have no need for them on GamePass. But even disregarding that, all of the PS4 exclusives I listed destroy your list a few times over. Netflix is good, but I'd laugh at anyone who thinks Netflix is the best source of TV/film entertainment just because it's economical. The situation is the same for GamePass. But alas, fanboys gotta fanboy.
