The specs may or may not be more generous, but OP has a specific application and in the case of my (more elderly) relatives they have brand preference perceptions. Then there is the new versus refurb perceptions. I have an elderly aunt that calls her Toshiba Android tablet an ipad, and would likely be disappointed if informed that the "ipad" is not what she thinks.

Only downside of the samsung is android 4.4 and it wont be updated ever! I dont know how samsung can justify still making these. You can add a 3rd party version on android 6.

It's has the motorised direct drive head but not the motorised head for wooden floors, which I feel I didn't need.Anyway, what was I here for?....After doing a bit of research, I was surprised to learn that the V6 machines and V8 machines have exactly the same power on normal power mode (the mode you'd be using the most): 28 air watts! It is only when you get to using max power mode, which runs the battery down a lot faster that you see a difference. 100 air watts for the V6 and 115 air watts for the V8. The V7 has less than both on normal mode with only 21 air watts! If you look into the specifications on the Dyson website, you'll see it's true. The only advantage the V8 has over the V6 if both have motorised heads is the small increase on max power mode of 15 air watts (again, both have the same power on normal mode), the easy emptying bin on the V8 (which admittedly is a lot less hassle), and possibly slightly longer battery life.I must admit that considering the V8 versions of the machines are way more expensive, that I was disappointed that at least on normal power mode there is no difference between the 2 motor versions. I'm not sure paying the considerably increased sum is worth the extra tools which can be bought cheaply on eBay and the like anyway. You takes your choice I guess.Hope this helps someone.

I have had a S6 edge for about 2 years now, bought it second hand (private sale), I must say the battery life has been good in general but I have noticed that if I use the fast charger the charge does not hold as long (crazy right) and also while travelling abroad and using normal charger it seems to get randomely really hot after charging so I put it down to slightly different voltage/dodgy electric as I was using the same adaptor. If I use my normal charger (no Samsung suplied fast one) in UK socket it's fine and last about a day.
Hope it helps someone.

It's like you didn't actually even read my post before replying to it, …It's like you didn't actually even read my post before replying to it, because I addressed this very thing. In fact, it was pretty much the only thing I addressed. Image processing has a huge impact on picture quality, regardless of whether the panel is the same or not. For instance, LG's own OLEDs are currently completely hamstrung in their HDR game mode on more recent firmware revisions due to LG's boneheaded choice to sacrifice huge amounts of brightness to preserve detail (which would be fine if it were optional and you could also choose the previous behaviour of balancing brightness and clipping, but you can't).Sony's A1 is considered the best entirely because their processing is better than anybody else's, especially in terms of motion handling. Of course, any OLED is still going to retain the base strengths of the technology such as perfect black levels, but beyond that they can and do look very different from each other.

Yet the LG wins in every single test out there - go figure eh?

This chromebook is a 4GB RAM and not the 2GB version. If this was 2GB version I wouldn't have posted up this deal.''I think this isn't a bad deal considering you get 4GB RAM instead of 2GB and a CPU more powerful than the usual Intel Celeron N3060'' is a spot on description.

OK that's fair enough, no issues with that. I think it's more productive to tell people the pros and cons regarding Chromebooks. Here's mine >

Pros:

Very quick boot time, under 10 seconds usually.
Very fast for web browsing. As essentially ChromeOS is a web browser first before anything else
Security
Eventual Google Play Store support see > chromium.org/chr…pps

and > support.google.com/chr…273

Cons:

Skype - there's workarounds. I'm not up to date as to whether it works from Google Play Store
iTunes - techjunkie.com/itu…ok/
I like Chromebooks and have had two. I think the 4GB is close to essential. Ideally, you'd also have a nice HD screen. With that combo they're really good day to day workhorse machines when used properly, i.e. you don't buy a 2Gb option for editing movies for cinema ;-) Heat applied ...

I've sold 10,000 computers to retail over the last 7 years, I guarantee you retail don't want Chromebooks.

You need to understand the chromeboook market. Most chromebook come with 2GB RAM and if you want the 4GB variant you would normally have to pay £50-80 more for the upgrade. So what I said before ''isn't a bad deal considering you get 4GB RAM instead of 2GB and a CPU more powerful than the usual Intel Celeron N3060'' I'm sticking by.
