Thank you - worked for me great deal. I am currently with three so I just hope I can bounce my number to a free sim and back to the new contract
Can someone tell me if internet speeds improved in EU with Three after introduction of Roam Like at Home? I was with Three just 1.5 year ago and the speeds were atrocious. Whilst I wouldn't complain about slow speed outside EU I would have hoped speed within EU improved now. Does anyone know?

I am still awaiting my cashback. I got my sim on a 12 month in October and waiting for £45. It doesn't say how much I will defo be getting it just says pending.
All these company seem to decline the cashback. Plus.net decline me and a colleague, I appealed and they paid out but my colleague missed the 100 day window (which is from the date of tracking, not declining) to appeal so lost the £70. They hope most people don't appeal and therefore they never have to payout.

Out of interest, who are you paying only £15 per month too, for a fat 30gb …Out of interest, who are you paying only £15 per month too, for a fat 30gb per month?, thanx. :-)

Just checked I'm actually paying £14.00 p/m for this So, no one ever believes me because it seems way too good to be true but do I care? Glad to share anyway:

I have the Three 'One Plan'. It includes: All-you-can-eat data, 200mins, unlimited 3to3mins and unlimited texts. (who needs mins nowadays?!)
This was supposed to cost £20.00 per month at the time, Three give -£3.00 discounts for loyal customers or something so it took it down to £17.00. The guy who I was on the phone with accidentally applied the discount twice and it took it down to £14.00 p/m. I hesitated for about two weeks as my previous contract with Three was only £10.00 for 2gb p/m and I didnt use it that much. After realising how good a deal I was getting I called back to get the deal, different guy on the phone said no that offer isn't right - the discount was applied twice by mistake. I said well thats what I was quoted so that's what I want. He said it was there error and they could do nothing except let me go ahead with the deal.

I'm in a long distance relationship so the all you can eat gb comes in handy for long skype calls everyday!

If you need proof I can provide screenshots or whatever

I think I just got really luck and not sure if this deal is still about but I'd give Three a call and see what they can do for you.

Edit: I forgot to say I also have a personal hotspot with 4GB data included in this plan. Also I found this, it may be a helpful read: jmcomms.com/201…is/

Higher speeds are possible with Carrier Aggregation which does not work on this plan. When there are lots of users like in London , the speed fall is very dramatic. I have compared their full speed sim and the 60 mbps speed limited sim and came to this conclusion.

Agreed. Mum is on the 60Mb plan and whilst it's enough for her usage, speeds rarely top 40Mbps and things can get a little slow in the heart of London or any place that's really populated (Kings Cross station during rush hour for example).

I'm on the full speed plan and haven't dipped below 70Mbps in ages. Outside of peak network times (4-7pm) I've been able to match my virgin media speeds of 200Mbps

Let's use Ryanair as an example here. They used to riddle their website …Let's use Ryanair as an example here. They used to riddle their website with hidden fees and charges, and then create more charges at the airport too. Yes, Ryanair made money from the process - but as O'Leary has now admitted, it was bad for business. Companies make more out of customers that are happy to use their services. So in the mobile roaming analogy - most people completely avoid using their mobile phones when abroad. So mobile operators don't make much out of most people. They just make a shed load out of a certain few. Remove the tariffs and barriers, and you suddenly have 500 million people travelling to and from different places, using their sole mobile phone all of the time - no longer worried about charges/fees. That cuts down on the churn rate for mobile operators (where people buy a sim JUST for one trip away). People will also more willingly pay extra to use a service that doesn't become useless when abroad...Removing fees/tariffs doesn't necessarily lead to higher costs to the end user. In fact, if the EU lesson shows anything, it is that removing tariffs reduces costs at every part of the supply chain.Let's wait and see - but I very much doubt we will be stung with higher mobile fees. All it'll mean is that we are happier to stick with one sim card for most things....and thus willingly spend more with an individual operator (which is good for their business)

There's a lot of assumptions here. When they have shareholders to answer to they will find ways to make profit in other areas when being stifled by Government bureaucracy.

Got two of these SIMS for a trip to New York, connected via AT&T and they work perfectly, 3G is as good as it gets in NY, but saved us a fortune. Three coverage back home is rubbish so they'll be getting binned on our return.
Just when I was planning on joining 3
Three has updated the price to £20 now.
I rang three and said im leaving to go to EE for 200gb. They said no and gave me a month free data.
From Three:

Maximise your top‑upwith our range of All‑in‑One Add‑Ons.

We thought you should know that our All-in-One 15 Add-on is being replaced from 19th August. Don't worry if you have recently purchased the All-in-One 15, as you can still use it until it's finished, but if you want to continue afterwards with the great features our Add-ons offer, you will need to switch to another one.

Our new All-In-One 20 Add-on will give you 300 minutes, 3000 texts and All-you-can-eat data for up to 30 days. What’s more, you can use your Add-on allowance to use your phone abroad at no extra cost in 18 destinations worldwide when on holiday (some limits apply - see Three.co.uk/feelathome).

Perfect if you love the control and peace of mind you get with an allowance, but with the freedom of Pay As You Go. And of course, with Three you get all this, plus 4G at no extra cost, when you're in a 4G area and using a 4G device. #makeitright

Sidenote does anyone know the maximum number of add ons you can queue up?

EDIT: Spoke to 3 CSR and they said the maximum number of transactions that can occur on your account in one month is 40. Topping up your account counts as 1 and converting top up into add on counts as another, Therefore 20 payg addons could in theory be "queued" up. Although i'm sure more could be done if you top up say £90 and then buy 8 AIO15 add ons.

She also stated that the addons have to be of the same value too. Hope this helps.

Just been trying out my 4G LG Spirit phone, and Speedtest.Net showing from 6 to 10 Mbps download and 2-3 Mbps upload (showing H or H+ so assume not seeing 4G, despite coverage map suggesting it should be doing that OK indoors, in my area).

Anyway, not too bothered by the 'low' speed (some in rural areas would get quite envious of even 5 Mbps).

Have been tethering and went over 110 GB with a week to go before new month starts. Very happy with unlimited data at a speed comparable with my 2 ADSL lines (plan to get the 300 Mbps FTTP sometime in future... current fibre estimated at 33.5 Mbps because of aluminium and distance to fibre cabinet).

You won't get 4G everywhere all of the time - I go onto one side of my house and can get 4G, but not on the other side - it flips between 4G/HSDPA, but that's the case with all the carriers (see the real world tests of this on YouTube - there's one for example of a guy wandering around london with 4 mobile phones each with a different network testing signal strength, download speeds etc etc).

Not so good. The app is crap and customer service is worst. I have used their services during holidays last year and I gave my vectone number in office to contact me in case they get in any trouble. It was the worst decision I made. When reached to the destination country, the app couldn't verify my number and couldn't connect me to my UK vectone number. I called the customer service and they said there might be a technical problem and they will update me with a resolution. They sent me an email after two days saying that the problem is now resolved. I tried again but the problem was still there. I called them again and got the same reply of technical issues. I stayed there for one month but couldn't use there services at all. I ended up buying a local sim to receive the calls and thanks to virgin media for their app which I used to call UK landlines via wifi.

The first thing I did after coming back to call the vectone guys and cancelled there services leaving the feedback on their horrible services.

Anyone thinking of going for vectone to use it abroad, please think again and keep a plan B in hand.

Sounds pretty good. I also like the fact that Vectone to Vectone calls are free, so I and my Mum have a spare phone with one of their SIMS in it and she can call me for free if she gets into any difficulty. You don;t need credit on it to use this facility.

I'll have to try find that in the T&C and link it in the title, pretty important info, cheers! (Strange though, as I had first heard about this from a 3rd party vodafone store )

Sorry for delayed reply - I was abroad!

Yes, I have added the 300 min package, and have been able to use it as part of my roaming minutes while I was away.

However you need your PUK number before you add a pack. This can be found in the SIM pack which your receive from Vodafone.
Can both these offers be used togather while abroad?

The freedom pack t +c's say . . . .

3. Usage: Texts and minutes included in your Pack are for UK use only (excluding Isle of Man and the Channel Islands) to standard UK landline numbers (beginning 01, 02, 03), standard UK mobiles and voicemail. You will be charged at your standard price plan rate for any out of Pack use and / or if you use all your minutes or texts before your Pack runs out. Any unused minutes or texts will be lost when your Pack runs out.

75p connection charge for each call MADE AND RECEIVED, it says in the … 75p connection charge for each call MADE AND RECEIVED, it says in the smallprint, even for inclusive minutes. so better for longer calls rather than many short ones?

I also thought this when I received the SIM card. However the 75p connection charge is their non-promotional price to make and receive calls, for the 'Passport' add on.

Between 1st June and 31st August, this charge does not apply to any call. It is free to receive calls within the specified countries, and the standard UK rate to make calls - which could be as cheap as 6.5 pence per minute, if you buy one of the above packages.
