Didn't the retentions team make you an offer?

inonefly

My contract with o2 ended, can I jump on this deal but keep me existing number?

Captainbeavus

Hukd removed it as it's a duplicate.

What happend to the Vodafone deal?

Captainbeavus

Doesn't say.. doubt it would go up. Plus you'd be able to renegotiate or leave.

100GB Data - Unlimited Mins & Texts On O2 For £20pm + Amazon Prime Video/Music For 6m + Roaming In 75 Countries (18m Contract) Sim Only @ O2
Seems like a decent deal direct from o2 on an 18 months contract here
GetDemDealz

O2 definitely isnt better. It has less coverage than Three, its been independently reviewed

GetDemDealz

Because people keep hopping to better deals.

GetDemDealz

To get you trapped. Smarty doing better than O2 and its a month contract. Just switched from EE and the Mrs from O2. Smarty has the best connection so far

GetDemDealz

O2 service is so bad. Also Smarty is unlimited for same price and does better signal

MilkShaykh

I work for o2 so even better with family friends discount which is 30% off - so £14pm for 100GB ——- now that’s a bargain 🤡🤡

hi guys, i have asked this before but that got lost somewhere, but can someone tell me how to move my current vodafone number to this sim? my current contract (with vodafone) is ending in march. So i will get a PAC code for that. I was going to then transfer my number to a 3 pay as you go sim using the PAC code (can I?). After a few days i will request a PAC code from 3 and move it to new vodafone sim (i.e. the mobiles.co.uk sim). Or is there a better way of doing this? I want to keep my number.

LynseyT123

can i get this as existing Vodafone customer via Mobiles.co.uk? renewal due in March ? Found recently i can't tether though? And I'm looking at 4G broadband as BT lines rubbish in rural location - can i use this sim if i buy a $g router? rural location but a lovely phone mast almost next door (confused)

Voxi does have the odd deals as I've just switched to them from Vodafone. The vue 2 tickets for £7 was on there site. Currently the data is unlimited too no idea how long for though?

Blandford33

PAYG gives limited liability when Vodafone's sticky fingers grab your money. If you give these crooks your bank details you can lose hundreds.

SomebodE

If this was with global roaming in 77 countries, it would be a deal. With out it, there are plenty of options out there for more data for the same money or the same data for less money.

Vodafone does Very me, which I don't believe extends to Voxi.....

Just ordered the 5GB deal for 7.95 pm via uSwitch which includes the £1 deal for first month. The app seems pretty good to be fair compared to other providers. Will be ideal for when I go to India in the airports (although I'll get the standard 2gb per day sim when I'm out there). Only down side is that they charge for using the answer phone but I'll disable it as I only use answer phone on my work number. Also charge if I need to contact customer services but I can call them on another line if needed.

Did you use live chat or call 333 ? Always better to Live Chat complaints, costs Three £550 per case to go to Ombudsman so the third party Tech Mahindra staff in India are clueless as it’s a overpayment. You should call your bank and reclaim the DD error as soon as you lodged your Ombudsman complaint and Three are billed ;) https://www.directdebit.co.uk/DirectDebitExplained/pages/directdebitguarantee.aspx

schteevie

Didn’t as there is usually a credit due on the final bill (due to paying line rental in advance) and instead of paying over the final credit they took an extra month! Now there’s a credit on my account and they won’t refund me, only put it towards a new contract. It’s going to the Ombudsman. Was on hold for 45 minutes earlier and online chat isn’t much quicker!

seaniboy

You didn’t cancel your direct debit ?

schteevie

Beware, Three have taken money out of my account after my account has been closed and final bill issued and are refusing to refund me. I’ve had to cancel Direct Debit and take it to ombudsman to get it back. Plus be prepared to wait 50 mins to get through to a customer service agent if you’ve any problems.

seaniboy

Yet if you said no and went to the Ombudsman you would have got a nice cheque and Ofcom would be investigating Three also for mis-selling, I don’t know what it is about Brits stiff upper lip even when they are getting shafted it’s almost like for the empire mentality. You shouldn’t have accepted nowt and went all the way with it, now some other person may suffer the same as Ofcom and Ombudsman won’t make a ruling against a issue with Three roaming...

EE could be out of business soon if they keep the silly prices they have for hardly any data and all other networks do unlimited 5g for less.

seaniboy

Even Vodafone is offering more for a little more, with 77 countries- no wonder EE are begging people to stay with 100GB £20

seaniboy

Whilst everyone else is going unlimited for £20-£30 BT adds more passes lol even Vodafone scrapped passes for Unlimited. o2 5G better have unlimited or Vodafone is gonna swallow them up, shared base stations don’t work when Three & Vodafone are shooting their partners in the foot lol

seaniboy

Swappable sim plans I thought were not essential, certainly that’s EE staff on the phone and store that have made me aware of that - but I take everything they monkeys say with a bag of salt. Poorly trained if not basic, but basics of a plan knowledge have caught me out with their monkeys before.

tateandsmile

£20. I had been on the 40gb plan for the last year, also at £20pm, Seems they’ve just used that, kept the £5 discount already on there and added another £1 discount as well as 3x20gb add ons.

I had a bad situation with a company called iTalk a while back. They pulled the same stunt. I cancelled the DD so I could pay by card to be fully in control of what and when I paid and they set up the DD again. On top of that they only have an 0845 number for their accounts team (or did back then - 1.5 years ago) which is a breach of regulations (you have to use a standard rate number for existing customers). Some people will ask what the relevance is to this thread. Well, iTalk are a Vodafone reseller. Some of you may know this because Vodafone recently closed down their Demon brand and I believe customers on ADSL were only offered a migration to iTalk. I would avoid iTalk at all costs.

I rang them with the intention of leaving, to go to three for the data, but I also have a line for my son and I share my data. They said, after disappearing a few times and coming back, that because I had been with them for a while, they could do this deal; which isn’t displayed anywhere, I think it was just what she was able to cobble together. Hope that helps/makes sense.

How did you get it for £20, I went on chat and told me £30 was best they could do for a upgrade

It is absolutely rubbish. Had one and returned it the next day as the signal was no better than my old tp-link regular extender for £15. Actually my £20 pocket GL.iNet router worked better than this. Ubiquiti access point connected to a network adapter blows this thing out of the water with a fairly similar price. Super cold for this.

I agree it’s HUKD the voters rule

spoon_2000

Why is this so cold? This IS a mesh system that doesn't require a device plugged directly in to your router, has a back haul channel and gives you (in theory) 100% of your WiFi speed. This is not a normal range extender. I missing something?

I dont use the Three app on my phone, since I purchased the phone separately from China. ANy other ideas?

deleted2103525

Not sure but I think Go roam in 72 countries is available to everybody meaning all new and old customers on advanced plans. Maybe if you commit for another 12 months then you should get it as my wife didn’t have it in August when we went abroad but when she upgraded ( renewed up contract) she was offered it I think people on old essential plans only get ho roam in Europe not the full 72 countries like you do with advanced contracts. If you sign into my 3 then it should show up

Does it show go roam as being active in the plan section of the app?

I originally went online to get this as an upgrade for my existing Vodafone contract, and paid a £29.99 upfront fee however the CPW store I wanted to have it delivered to wasn't listed on their web site (it's a very new store).
