Just tried calling 150 to move to this and they advised no max plans are available. The call centre person offered me 40gb for £25 per month but only with EU roaming not US roaming and not a max plan. Was then advised she could do it for £20 but I decided to leave it. Anyone else managed to get this SIM only deal in the last few days?

I said no. I am not getting it. I only receive same as you. I phoned up to try and get the BT sport add on as well and apparently those deals dont exist anymore.

You can check this on the MyEE app, the text under allowances should mention select countries.

No. I think i need to phone back up. Other people are getting it, so i think im entitled to it as well

Just noticed that neither Quidco or TCB offer any money back for sim only contracts with mobilephonesdirect. That ruined that idea.

I know many people get problems but of you make sure you clear your cookies properly each time it reduces the risk. I've been lucky and have claimed thousands back from Quidco and TCB without major problems. In this case they're specifically offering this deal with the cashback, so even more chance of being successful.

I might be reading it wrong but.... shows this deal, with redemption, coming out at £9pm but with the possibility of £30 topcashback as well, or Quidco

This may be so for some, but we have recently cashed out two sim deals from November, bought through Quidco.and we had £40 each as advertised.

Really having second thoughts about this with all the reports of people not receiving their cashback; I'm in bluddy bad need of a contract though...

Price has increased so now it's £26.59 with the code. Still cheaper than Amazon though

I don't know why this Deal is cold, for what it is, this is a good Deal. :-)

I believe around the Black Friday/Cyber Monday time ... Let's hit it goooood!!!. :-D

The OP's Deal states 12GB open for 1 Year ... 2GB over 12 Months = 24GB. Not 12GB instead. :-)

Yep!. Got that last Year, but from Amazon, and for more money though, lol, but yes, £27 would have been notably a better stonker of a price to the almost £40 I rather paid for the exact same thing. :-( Lol, but for what it is, it's cool I guess. :-)

Thank you - worked for me (y) great deal. I am currently with three so I just hope I can bounce my number to a free sim and back to the new contract

Can someone tell me if internet speeds improved in EU with Three after introduction of Roam Like at Home? I was with Three just 1.5 year ago and the speeds were atrocious. Whilst I wouldn't complain about slow speed outside EU I would have hoped speed within EU improved now. Does anyone know?

I am still awaiting my cashback. I got my sim on a 12 month in October and waiting for £45. It doesn't say how much I will defo be getting it just says pending.

All these company seem to decline the cashback. decline me and a colleague, I appealed and they paid out but my colleague missed the 100 day window (which is from the date of tracking, not declining) to appeal so lost the £70. They hope most people don't appeal and therefore they never have to payout.

topcashback have become bunch of scammers, last few months keep saying merchant declined the cashback, no reason give, no way to raise a complaint, can't go directly through to the merchant, only cashback in pennies always paid out, suprise suprise

Why is this so expensive now? It was under 30 pounds last year, and mobile internet should be getting cheaper or more...

Great for when there are no free wi-fi hotspots available, or I'm on a bike ride and I use "live tracking" on my Lezyne bike computer app to let family know where I am in real-time. Sod's law, I bought a 12GB sim from Amazon last month, because I had not seen the 24GB version in stock for months!

Yes,it got reduced for xmas, myself buying one November. It seems a 'while stocks last' offer. I guess if it sells our at £40 then, no reduction.

Got this 2nd September last year at £28 handy for holidays abroad and caravan used in Samsung tablet and a Huawei mifi from another deal on here as mentioned, think it was carphone wharehouse on a monthly rolling contract cancelled after 1 month supplied unlocked. works great with this 3 sim.

Just checked I'm actually paying £14.00 p/m for this :D So, no one ever believes me because it seems way too good to be true but do I care? Glad to share anyway: I have the Three 'One Plan'. It includes: All-you-can-eat data, 200mins, unlimited 3to3mins and unlimited texts. (who needs mins nowadays?!) This was supposed to cost £20.00 per month at the time, Three give -£3.00 discounts for loyal customers or something so it took it down to £17.00. The guy who I was on the phone with accidentally applied the discount twice and it took it down to £14.00 p/m. I hesitated for about two weeks as my previous contract with Three was only £10.00 for 2gb p/m and I didnt use it that much. After realising how good a deal I was getting I called back to get the deal, different guy on the phone said no that offer isn't right - the discount was applied twice by mistake. I said well thats what I was quoted so that's what I want. He said it was there error and they could do nothing except let me go ahead with the deal. I'm in a long distance relationship so the all you can eat gb comes in handy for long skype calls everyday! If you need proof I can provide screenshots or whatever (y) I think I just got really luck and not sure if this deal is still about but I'd give Three a call and see what they can do for you. Edit: I forgot to say I also have a personal hotspot with 4GB data included in this plan. Also I found this, it may be a helpful read:

No, I'm using 4G, do they even still do 3G?

For extra pound a month rather unlimited mins and extra gig.COLDDDDDDD

yes i was offered that as my contract is over, but too be honest 3 network is ****, i cant get 4g signal where i live , anywhere else is i dont really want to be tied down to a 12 month contract....i have my 3 pac code which i have to use by 10-10-2017, otherwise my contract will continue with 3 on unlim call, unlum texts and 4 gb data..

How did you manage that, my wife got a new sim sent out the other day as still had the 3g Life one so needed to call them and change to the £7 2.5gb but it was like pulling teeth going through security

Agreed. Mum is on the 60Mb plan and whilst it's enough for her usage, speeds rarely top 40Mbps and things can get a little slow in the heart of London or any place that's really populated (Kings Cross station during rush hour for example). I'm on the full speed plan and haven't dipped below 70Mbps in ages. Outside of peak network times (4-7pm) I've been able to match my virgin media speeds of 200Mbps

Roam like Home actually started 1 June: From June 1st with Roam Like Home, you can use your inclusive BT Mobile allowance to make calls, send texts and use data in 47 destinations at no extra cost.

There's a lot of assumptions here. When they have shareholders to answer to they will find ways to make profit in other areas when being stifled by Government bureaucracy.

+1 VOdafone's customer service usually is terrible :-( Write a letter via recorded delivery to the Vodafone CEO ask for compensation for your postage/time. It'll take some time but they will get it sorted. Very annoying but I did it this way and happy with the outcome. If you are still unhappy then you can go to the ombudsman.

jrw is clueless.

They already did this before the announcement. Vodafone is literally the WORST damn network that exists. I ignored 239852935 warnings on this site about it because they had what seemed to be a good deal. It was a MISTAKE. DO NOT USE THEM! Got two of these SIMS for a trip to New York, connected via AT&T and they work perfectly, 3G is as good as it gets in NY, but saved us a fortune. Three coverage back home is rubbish so they'll be getting binned on our return.

Just when I was planning on joining 3

Three has updated the price to £20 now.

I rang three and said im leaving to go to EE for 200gb. They said no and gave me a month free data. :D

From Three: Maximise your top‑upwith our range of All‑in‑One Add‑Ons. We thought you should know that our All-in-One 15 Add-on is being replaced from 19th August. Don't worry if you have recently purchased the All-in-One 15, as you can still use it until it's finished, but if you want to continue afterwards with the great features our Add-ons offer, you will need to switch to another one. Our new All-In-One 20 Add-on will give you 300 minutes, 3000 texts and All-you-can-eat data for up to 30 days. What’s more, you can use your Add-on allowance to use your phone abroad at no extra cost in 18 destinations worldwide when on holiday (some limits apply - see Perfect if you love the control and peace of mind you get with an allowance, but with the freedom of Pay As You Go. And of course, with Three you get all this, plus 4G at no extra cost, when you're in a 4G area and using a 4G device. #makeitright Sidenote does anyone know the maximum number of add ons you can queue up? EDIT: Spoke to 3 CSR and they said the maximum number of transactions that can occur on your account in one month is 40. Topping up your account counts as 1 and converting top up into add on counts as another, Therefore 20 payg addons could in theory be "queued" up. Although i'm sure more could be done if you top up say £90 and then buy 8 AIO15 add ons. She also stated that the addons have to be of the same value too. Hope this helps.

I bought the 1gb per month over 12 month know how sim and I while the service has been good, the data just seems to vanish very quickly more so than the 3 1gb data sims I've been buying from pc world.

The service is run by Globalgig and I had no problems. I wouldn't use it as a long term solution but for a one off using abroad I couldn't get a local sim deal for the same price. When I got back I just called and cancelled it and it expired at the end of the month. Perhaps not for everyone but was very useful for me.

To be fair, I'm tempted by the iD network offerings. Would like it more if they did SIMO plans on 12 month contract, but aside from that, I don't see much fault...Three's network is good and is getting better, the 30 day plans are very good value and they cover Germany which I visit quite a lot. Tethering is also allowed. I'm trying to decide between the iD network and Tesco Mobile myself...

Just been trying out my 4G LG Spirit phone, and Speedtest.Net showing from 6 to 10 Mbps download and 2-3 Mbps upload (showing H or H+ so assume not seeing 4G, despite coverage map suggesting it should be doing that OK indoors, in my area). Anyway, not too bothered by the 'low' speed (some in rural areas would get quite envious of even 5 Mbps). Have been tethering and went over 110 GB with a week to go before new month starts. Very happy with unlimited data at a speed comparable with my 2 ADSL lines (plan to get the 300 Mbps FTTP sometime in future... current fibre estimated at 33.5 Mbps because of aluminium and distance to fibre cabinet).

Send me that youtube link of speedtest please Thanks

Three allows free roaming on any of their tariffs. This is not the case with ID. What an unfair publicity they do when comparing their tariffs with three's.

This 15 pound looks a good option for myself when going USA. Does anyone know a cheapish Smartphone that I could get that is on the THREE Network. Suppose I need a smartphone otherwise wont get full benefit of this 15 pound deal. As its only fur USA trip then dont want to be buying a high spec phone.. So maybe minimum cost Smartphone thats THREE compatible (already on their network). Of course I could get a SIM UNLOCKED but guess its cheaper if bought as a THREE network phone (cost offset for handset etc).. Thoughts?

By the way, with a Three sim, top up each time with £5 because you get 150mb free with any top up.

Yes. I've never bought an add-on and always get the "You are in a nFeel-at-Home destination" text from Three. Have used it in Italy and France so far.

Only for virgin media costumers. I.e. if you only have mobile with them, like myself, you can;t use the app

Not so good. The app is crap and customer service is worst. I have used their services during holidays last year and I gave my vectone number in office to contact me in case they get in any trouble. It was the worst decision I made. When reached to the destination country, the app couldn't verify my number and couldn't connect me to my UK vectone number. I called the customer service and they said there might be a technical problem and they will update me with a resolution. They sent me an email after two days saying that the problem is now resolved. I tried again but the problem was still there. I called them again and got the same reply of technical issues. I stayed there for one month but couldn't use there services at all. I ended up buying a local sim to receive the calls and thanks to virgin media for their app which I used to call UK landlines via wifi. The first thing I did after coming back to call the vectone guys and cancelled there services leaving the feedback on their horrible services. Anyone thinking of going for vectone to use it abroad, please think again and keep a plan B in hand.

Sounds pretty good. I also like the fact that Vectone to Vectone calls are free, so I and my Mum have a spare phone with one of their SIMS in it and she can call me for free if she gets into any difficulty. You don;t need credit on it to use this facility.

Virgin mobile offers a similar service to all its mobile customers.
