All Robot Vacuum Cleaner Discounts, Offers and Sale - August 2020
I appreciated your initial reply. I wasn’t quoting you in my reply above Mrsweet.
That's great and I did thank you for adding that information (after appending your original comment, after the deal was expired (confused) ) But the total price I listed for this always included postage cost. I'm definitely open to criticism (it helps me improve) although I admit I prefer it a little bit more when it's warranted. If you had of ever seen one of my many comments (wow, is it really as many as you say - I didn't realise) you would see just how positive and supportive I am to others. The clues in my username - although I admit I also have a love for confectionery! If you were ever to post a deal after all your time on this site, good or not-so-good, I would also be very welcoming to you. A lot of my deals haven't been great - but hopefully helped some people - and it took me a very long time to pluck up the courage to post the very first one! Have a good day and I genuinely hope to see you around HUKD again sometime. I wish you well (y)
It was just more information, I guess I've not had the time for the almost 10,000 comments you've made, well done if those were welcoming people but then, I wonder how many were spent criticising other comments
The price I listed in the deal already included postage, but thank you for taking the time to comment. :)
Congrats on your recent 10 years anniversary of criticising other people's deals, whilst not posting any yourself. Quite an achievement (y)
Price rise ;(
Ticked code but not reducing at checkout! 😔
Hot, finally bit the bullet and ordered! Thanks
Lol I'm liking the names, hadn't realised I'd have to name mine. I think I'll name mine Cinderella.
“George” has been resident with me since November and he’s brilliant. Think I paid £159 at the time. Got my 81 year old aunt one a week later and she loves it aswell, we’ve set it up with Alexa for her. It’s light enough for her to carry up the stairs aswell. Brilliant piece of kit
Price is now £369.98
Thanks very much DevilzGtr (y)
It's safe as long as you mop it dry and don't leave a puddle on the wood. Also be extra careful if you have wood particle board underneath as this material is prone to water damage.
is it safe to mop wooden floors? my mother always said not lol. Think im goung to do it.
I find it helps a lot. My whole ground floor is laid with wood flooring and I usually only vacuum it. On the rare occasion I would whip the mop out but having this feature on the vacuum keeps the ground floor extra clean :)
Nice first post; thanks for sharing and a belated welcome to hotukdeals @Matt175 (highfive)
My friend has a Neato, he likes his although he does say it scrapes his skirting boards - something all Neatos do apparently due to the D shaped design.
I hope it's better than the D5. My experience was not good at all, and I ended up returning it.
From what i could see online it has a bigger battery than the S4 and has better suction, by no means an expert on this, just saw and thought it was a pretty good deal...
Seen the Neato's on offer a few times recently, been tempted but from what I understand they have't really updated their vacuums or software in a while so im holding out going for a roborock as they seem to get a lot of updates and features added (and supposedly are amongst the best for navigation)
I bought the 13c and it came yesterday. I love it already.
You can solve his freak out in bright sunlight by putting a bit of tape over his sensor at the front (if you have a flat with no stairs!) It’s kind of cure though - it’s like he’s petrified of a patch of sunlight on the floor as he backs away!
Which is best please?
I have one, his name's Bumpy. He freaks out in harsh shadows/bright sunlight (I think because he confuses it with a drop) and sometimes he goes on midnight cleans of his own accord. But overall, I'd say he's a great flatmate.
Ours is called Henry Jefferson :-) Agree it’s amazing! Just a note that HJ was cheaper from Amazon in a black Friday sale for the 2,000Pa version so it might be worth waiting for a better deal.
Mine arrived 3 days ago, no issues, works great. Thanks again op
Good to hear. I am more relaxed about my purchase now after seeing your review.
Same Just got a message, hopefully we get it Monday-Tuesday & all working. I still need to get a EU plug converter haha
Update. After several tries on putting it in the dock, it decided to charge. Battery must have been completely flat on delivery. Have left it to charge overnight and after 2 clean ups I can say I'm impressed with it. Clean ups have been on the 2 lowest settings but it has collected most of the dirt. I have a Dyson cordless V10 and the robot has done as good especially on the bedroom carpet. Not tried the mop on it yet but I can't see an option on the app to not use the mop on the bedrooms which have carpet and on the living room rugs.
Is the problem solved? Is the item faulty?
Arrived today and it’s actually pretty good. The app interface is very nice. It could do with better scheduling but for this price points it’s worth keeping I think.
You know what, I’m gonna try it out. Worst comes to worse I can send it back. Cheers OP
Code no longer works?
Thanks I have the Xiaomi Mijia (lidar) and it's fantastic on my hard floors but I have a camel fleck carpet which screws its sensors up (maybe medium pile) and gets stuck. Useless so looking for a new one for upstairs which is all carpet.
Have the older model. The strips are for no-go areas. It has a drop sensor for stairs, mine has never fallen down the stairs. I definitely won't call it a rubbish vac as mine is actually pretty good (this is the model with Alexa which was on sale at Amazon for £150 last year, another Hotukd deal!) It covers the floor downstairs of about 800 sq ft in about 2 hours and picks up a phenomenal amount of dust and dirt when we set it loose before we go to sleep; the big vac comes out only once every two weeks or so. While the motion path is a bit random, it does manage to find it's way from the reception to the kitchen, conservatory etc and finds its way back once the battery is low. On a slow day I once observed how it cleans under the table with all the chairs in the way, it covered the entire area wrapping round chair legs to get under chairs etc, though I'm still struggling to figure out why it sees some obstacles and turns away before it hits them, while in other instances it would wait to hit something and then turn. Rarely it loses its way back to the charger, or drops one of the two brushes up front when it gets stuck somewhere, but you get a notification on the phone when that happens. You also receive a notification when the dust receptacle is full. We've had it for over a year now, use maybe 3 times a week and the battery is holding up well. Spare batteries are available on Amazon. I suspect this model also has a random pattern of cleaning, given it has no LIDAR sensors - you have to spend a bit more for vacs with those if you buy in the UK, or get one from China at around the same price e.g. Xiaomi Mijia, but for the latter beware you may have an issue if it breaks down and you need to return it to China. I've heard many good things about the Xiaomi.
Do you have a link to the one you mention?
Hmmmm considering you can get an Xiaomi one with proper laser room mapping for the same price / even cheaper. This is actually a pretty rubbish price for a dumb robot cleaner. (I have had a few, the difference between the laser ones with proper mapping and those without is huge).
I have got similar one over a year now. It is very nice and do work with both Alexa and Google Home. Sadly you need to empty the binbag periodically. I wish that was automated too ;-)
The cat or the vacuum?
Yes. Two cats in my house, one shedding a lot of fur at present. I have the newer model, Eufy 15C, which is slightly more powerful than this one. Used regularly it keeps the pet hair well controlled but I suspect you'll be surprised just how much it takes off initially. Also I use double sided carpet tape for rugs which are too large/inconvenient to lift off the floor. Otherwise it tends to eat the corners.
Would this be okay for cat hair on laminate flooring ? And a rug or two
I have one of these. Excellent brushes and works well on hard floors and rug. For the price, it is a decent level of suction too. Although it doesn't use LIDAR, it has an edge mode which is fantastic and better than my S5 Max. If you have kids, these things save you loads of time.
2 years and the roller motor has warn out. I will be looking at a better brand. Also had the issue of the robovac getting stuck on the stools and edges
We ended up getting some rubber (steering wheel cover cut in half!) to put around the edges of our stools to stop it trying to mount them. Works well and easy to remove when the vac's not scheduled to run.
If you've got breakfast bar stools with round bases avoid these eufy vacs and get a more expensive vac with mapping. Probably 8 nights out of 10 ours will get stuck on the stools. It's like some strange obsession. The vac can't leave them alone.
Had mine 2 years now, works better than you would expect and no issues. (Open plan hard wood floors) works great with Alexa.
Yeah I did the same, £70 extra for prime delivery, a 2 year warranty, no quibble return and no risk of extra card fees or customs charges sounds a better deal to me, especially with a device like this with lot of moving parts and things that could fail
No, is an EU plug, with 2 pin
That’s great. I didn’t bother with Aliexpress in the end. I haven’t got a credit card and their was a fee for using PayPal. PayPal also automatically changed currency to dollars which incurred further exchange rate charges. Probably would have cost £360ish in the end. Instead I got mine earlier this week for £420 fulfilled by Amazon with 2 years warranty. I was happy with the price for the extra peace of mind. Very impressed with S5 Max, we’ve called her ‘Cinderella’ as she stays home cleaning whilst we are out enjoying ourselves (apologies in advance for gender stereotyping).
Hi i just got it today! Wach video here Roborock S5Max Black it was delivered with DHL i have tracked so nothing wrong so far. No fees for delivery, i paid with my HSBC credit card.
Best deal I have found £320.99: Best deal Subtotal£325.99 Discount ([GOO5] - Google Coupon £5/200) £-5.00
Sorry to hear that. Looks like bad luck that it got lost somewhere in shipping. FWIW I hope you still go ahead and buy one (maybe from Amazon UK?) as it is a fantastic robot vacuum. Absolutely no complaints from me, just wish I'd bought one sooner. Even at the Amazon UK price I would buy it.
Never received mine. Aliexpress refunded me today after opening a dispute.
I opted for eglobalcentral. Dispatched and in transit
Item shipped from Germany on 28th of June and never arrived. I now opened a dispute on Aliexpress... annoying.
Thanks for sharing your first deal with the community @BDP (highfive)
absolutely fine on short pile normal carpets struggles on my longish pile rugs.
How's this on carpets?
Just ordered an S5 max with extra consumables for £352 delivered off aliexpress, should be here tomorrow apparently
You can get the Neato D701 on Amazon cheaper than then Roborock S5 Max. But... Look how many returns Amazon has for sale on Amazon Warehouse... For the Roborock D701.. Over 60 units...!
I've bought this. Cleaning wise, it's great. It claims to support multiple floor maps, which their support team has confirmed to me that you need a charging dock on each floor/map of you want to save them. So I can't set up virtual boundaries upstairs and it's constantly getting stuck.

I think it’s called Neato BotVac connected. It has a app you can control it with. I’ve had it for around 4 years now, still going strong, no issues what so ever!
Which model are you referring to? I want to check it out too
I’ve got a neato bot vac. Best thing we have ever owned. It’s just a hoover but it’s great on carpets and even leaves that freshly hoovered carpet look with the lines in the carpet!
set up a price alert on the 3 camels. You choose the price and it emails you when the price goes below your biting point
I got one of these last time when it was on offer from Amazon Spain. First one I have ever owned and wouldn't be without one. I wouldn't recommend for carpets but for hard floors it keeps the floors dust free. You still will need a proper vacuum now and then, which for us is like every 4weeks now. We used to do it weekly however, it's just making sure the corners and skirts are clean where the robotvac has trouble getting to. Highly recommended.
I had one of these exact models and have just upgraded. We went to Dyson but gave this one to my son. It's brilliant and keeps the dust and hair down. You still will always need to use a handheld but these pick up so much it's amazing. Good app, great device. I might add I gave the N79s to my son and his growing family as it's still going strong
I brought one last deal on here and would reccomend it. Really great.
You can use a broadlink RM pro to setup Alexa etc. A bit more to spend but the RM pro can be used for other things too such as the TV
If/when the battery fails on this model it will be a full strip down to change. Check the YouTube videos on the subject. I have the 11 model and changing that battery was a ten minute task. They're dumb but mine has been doing my floors daily for two and a half years. I still have to go around with a proper hoover periodically and I don't let it do the carpeted room (it's not very good on thick carpets but fine on thin rugs.) I'm surprised that the price of these hasn't really changed much over the years but I suppose there hasn't been much change in the technology or competition.
I bought this for £125 in January, but swapped for the 15c Max. Eufy Robovacs are very good, very quiet, but very stupid. It doesn't know where it's cleaned so takes double the time as a vac with navigation. Also, as @Pricklerickle mentions above, watch out for cables. But for this price you can't go wrong.
I got the 15s I think just watch out for them cable's
Shame its not a C version so no wifi on this. Still a good deal though. Heat added.
The day I'm tempted to buy its up to 269 with 40 off.
If you have carpet you’re better off with Xiaomi Mija 1C for around or less than this price from Aliexpress. Much much better section for carpets
Same here. We have a 30C and it does well on carpet and hard floor. The carpet is all quite short pile, not sure it would cope on carpet with long filaments
On carpet, I think this vac would struggle
Does this one follow any sort of intelligent grid pattern or just clean until it bumps into something then turn around and repeat?
Right at the bottom of box, well hidden
HELP! Mine arrived yesterday and I can't find the remote (or batteries). Can anyone remember where in the packaging they were located please?
How can you complaint if they deliver from china instead of spain ?
Got this deal few days ago https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/xiaomi-mi-robot-vacuum-1c-global-version-robotic-vacuum-cleaner-for-16495-using-coupon-at-aliexpress-deals-gshopper-lifestyle-store-3466787 Arrived in 7 days (yesterday night) and I have to say it is really good. This is my first robot vacuum cleaner. I was thinking of buying a cheap one too to test but because of the price, company and a user friendly app decided to go with the above deal. My personal thought is that, yes the price is attractive but how reliable is the product? Is it easy to find spare parts? How about the supporting app or information (reviews) to overcome if there is a problem. Therefore, rather than investing on an unknown brand it is better to invest something reliable. Also there are many suppliers selling additional parts. App makes your work super easy. Anyway I'm not voting either way.
I believe flea eggs get picked up by the filter.
Alright if you want to chance flea eggs into your home, not worth the chance
The dog is the unit's smart assistant. When you are unable to locate the unit, simply issue the smart assistant with the command "fetch". The cat is an accessory which hoovers up pests larger than insects. Sadly this item does not respond well to voice commands...
I think the trouble is with Neato’s pricing. It’s £138 more than the D4, for that all you are getting is an upgraded battery, zone cleaning, an ineffective side brush and different roller brush. Incidently, the D4 was £217 yesterday, the cheapest price ever, perhaps OP would have been better to put that one on here.
Not sure why this is cold for a WiFi / Radar Cleaner. We have the D5 and love it, the D shape is better as it gets into corners of the room, only grip with it is they didn't use a bearing in the brush, just a copper bushing. But a £1.50 fix, so no big issue. Brilliant little cleaner and consistent software and firmware upgrades. Not a replacment for an upright hoover, but it helps keep on top of the daily mess (especially with a child). And IMO much more elegant than one of the cheaper models that just bumps around your home.
