Don't touch Gearbest with a barge pole. Their actual delivery rate (Ie the amount of orders that make their destination) is terrible and there is a good chance you will never see either your goods or money again.
The thing that concerns me is the enormous area the docking station requires - a metre either side and two metres in front for most models. You end up with it sitting in the middle of a long wall taking up lots of space and being a trip hazard. Has positioning the dock been an issue for anyone?
I have an i-sweep from Amazon (£60) and I must admit it does a brilliant job. It's isnt very powerful but it makes up for this by going over and over the same spots again and again. It would surprise you how much dirt it picks up on an already clean floor. Where it lets me down and why i have an alert set on these deals is I've a dog that casts in thick clumps. It doesn't pick these up. It also doesn't map the room out nor return to base or set itself off at certain times. I'll probably get a Eufy or Xaoimi at some stage but this looks decent for the price so will give some heat.
Get a eufy not this crap
I got the eufy robovac 30c for £180 and its brilliant
I've used robot vacuum cleaners for the last 6-7 years or so and have currently got two Ilife robot cleaners (the V3s Pro and the V5s for upstairs) and they're really efficient on hard floors, not so great on carpet. However, there's no way in the world I would use one with a water tank and trust it to clean wooden or even laminate flooring. Just as any wet mop would do, it would ruin the floor in no time. Which means you'd be paying an extra premium for wrecked floors. I got the V5 for £65 from Ebay last March which is half the price of this model. No offense to you or your deal OP but a water tank on one of these is a really bad idea and wouldn't have/use one even if it was free.
Did you like it or you think it isn't worth it?
I just sold mine as it was doing was gathering dust!
"It can stay out of the plight by itself" Phew - thank God for that ;)
I have both a neato D5 and D7, they have changed our lives :0)
This machine is amazing. I bought one in the summer and I'm still as happy with it now as I was then. I got mine for 300 so at this price it is a steal.
They are fantastic - bought mine in Costco 4 years back - get one! Only pain is having to get on your WiFi to simply set the timer... the old versions did on the device itself. Neato have larger dust boxes than roomba too
I've always wanted one of these to stop my wife vacuuming 3 times a day because she is a clean freak.
Agree -The features look really good for the price. but the reviews seem too poor.
Great price ,I think this is cheapest I’ve ever eseen, got one on Black Friday and they are amazing
Save yourself a lot of money and get the eufy robovac 30c instead.
None in my local Harrods :(
If only your grammar was as good as your wit (y) (y)
Yeah but that makes a mess of the carpet
Sounds just like a popular phone company lol
You get 3 year warranty with some sellers on AliExpress.
What’s the warranty situation with the xiaomi?
Or a Roomba I have two.
Thought it was for a Dyson. Not a hoover? (lol)
Reviews for that model aren’t great. The 680 is available from ao.com for £20 more ao.com/product/roomba680-irobot-robotic-vacuum-cleaner-grey-48943-90.aspx. £200 saving compared to £120
These are fantastic vacuums... would highly recommend and at this price they are spot on
Amazing how much dirt this collects
Ours picked up loads after just 10 mins!
So I only got offered a 10% refund which equates to £17.99 for me as I already had a £10 promo on my account. So it cost me £162...which is fine. Just ran it for 15 mins and couldn't wait to check. I was like an excited child. I can't believe how much it sucked up. My wife only vacuumed yesterday teatime with a really powerful Miele vacuum cleaner. Results are pretty impressive :D
Pm me your name if you don't mind...I'm on chat now
I emailed them last night saying a friend had got one but doesn't include the strips and is not 1500pa. I said I would have bought the 11s for £30 cheaper if I had known, so could they refund the difference. They have issued a £30 refund and mine hasn't even been delivered yet (lol)
I tried ringing and they didn't want to know. They said I would have to call back later to speak to the relevant department as they were now closed. If possible could you PM me your name and I'll say my mate rang and quote your name saying you got a partial refund of £30. Unbelievable that I posted the deal and I'll probably be the only one that doesn't get a refund.... hahahaha :D
Got this for just over this price on AmazonUk on Black Friday. It’s a fantastic machine tbf, absolutely love it. The only little negative I do have about it is the Alexa voice controls aren’t the best
Not sure why the cold votes ? This is a good deal
Spent 202 pounds on Xmas sales...gutted
I bought one and at first the wife wasn’t too chuffed, now she’s seeing the benefit. having a 9 year old who plays grassroots football coming back with 4g rubber pieces in his boots every week it makes short work of these
Great machine. The only gadget that has been approved by the management.
Well, went for the 30c. A robot vacuum with WiFi, what a time to be alive.
Not sure whether to spend extra and get the 30c!
"Fab last minute present here" (shock) I could see that going down well with my better half " Merry xmas love, i've bought you a vacuum cleaner" i'd hit on the back of the head with it on the way out the door
Deal has expired £337 now. Good price when first posted though
I think I got off light with the sick but cleaning it out of the wheels and brushes was not a highlight of my year XD
I thought the dog had merely made a statement as to how good these robot vacuum cleaners are?
lol, I read a review somewhere where the dog had shat in the room and the vac had smeared it everywhere.
I couldn’t decide between this and the Eufy 30c, went for the Eufy because the reviews were better and supposedly has 3x the suction. works great with cat hair, even on pretty thick carpet. My only tip would be make sure you check for cat sick before setting it going, that was not nice to come home to...
We had an Eufy at work, and tbh it wasn't really impressive. Loud, and kept bumping into stuff, was cleaning the same area in a loop. Switched to the Xiaomi one (different budget I give you that), and it's another world. More silent, never bumps in stuff, and maps the room so it doesn't hoover the same area twice
I think you can use the code on Amazon to get the 30C at the same price, at least that's what I saw when I was looking yesterday
Maybe I'm cynical but HUKD likes to make money and Anker probably don't pay their click through links on time.
I have a £60 robot vacuum from Amazon (iSweep) and it does a great job on a thin pile carpet. The thing is it goes over and over areas and eventually gets most things. It would surprise you what it picks up even on a clean looking floor. The problem with my machine is we've a dog that casts in thick clumps. Unfortunately it doesn't pick these up and why I keep an eye on these threads. My machine goes in random patterns but gets to every part of the room eventually. It also goes from carpet to hard floor and back with no issues, nor does it drop down stairs with it's sensor. I love my wee machine, it really solves a chore but I want a better one that returns to base, sets itself off in the middle of the night and charges itself because quite frankly I'm a lazy git :) I also need something more powerful to suck up the dogs hair. Look out for the Pa number, the higher the better suction. Oh and hide any cables and block anywhere it can get stuck ;) Can't comment on this particular machine but I'd expect it to be much better than my machine. Hope this helps.
Are these any good on carpets?
From Amazon yes, although they refused to replace and would only refund as the price was then a lot more than I paid so I couldn't replace it without paying an extra £50. No thanks
I was tempted with this model but went on the Eufy website and opted for the 30c model instead as it was newer model with more powerful suction and compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant (which seems cool?). Anyhow I went via Top Cash Back which has 25% voucher and 7.87% cash back which tracked straight away and discounted it from £269.99 to £202.49 less £16.10TCB = £186.39. I think this compares well to £157.49 for this model through Amazon
What's the warranty on these as there seem to be more than enough examples on here of them going wrong. CS might be good but if you're stuck with a paper weight after 12 months it seems expensive
Awesome. Although I would prefer Amazon's back up but Anker is an excellent company too.
Oh no. So what we are saying is.... great customer service then? :)
You have to click a checkbox which is where the red box is on the image below.
How do you get the additional £10 off? I dont see that anywhere?
The image shows it can be controlled from a phone app remotely, so you can use it to drive around your house remotely...
I’m no Einstein by any means, but my guess would be for mapping purposes
There is an additional £10 off promotion too.
Got a warehouse d7 for 239.99 during Black Friday and love the thing!
But this isn’t made by iRoomba.
After owning and even modifying 400/600/800 series iRoomba vaccum cleaners I have totally given up on them and believe it or not iRoomba makes remote control bomb disposal robots! These things are HIGH maintenance and a total money pit what with batteries, brushes and rollers! Until the day a manufacturer of robotic cleaners gives a no quibble guarantee like Shark do DO NOT waste your money honestly they are cute, why the hell you want to control it with a thousand quid iPhone baffles me as well
All the robot vacuum cleaners I've come across seem to have the same dirty secret: the huge amount of space required around the docking station. It's usually a metre either side and two metres in front, although one I found (Bobsweep Bobi) is 50cm either side but 3m in front. Assuming you can find that sort of clearance, you would end up with the thing being a major trip hazard when docked. Wouldn't it be nice if, say, it could dock under a kitchen unit? Has anyone had an issue with this, or have I missed something?
Got one today thanks, worth the drive I think. Though it seems to miss one particular spot on my rug every time :/ but does a good job of cleaning up after the cat! I haven't tried the schedule setting yet but will do when I have to go back to work (so soon!). Return to base randomly searches for it's base until its within about 5-7 feet of it, then it will slowly line itself and charge itself up. My cats disabled the evil machine in a brutal fight twice in total, so I'd say its a win to cat owners too. Overall very impressed (don't bother with the android app it's garbage, doesn't even connect!).
I have 2 roomba vacs.....love them and this is a great deal. With regards to suction...these vacs differ from conventional vac think roller brush with light suction. I used on hard wood, tile and carpet. Key is to run often..deep ground in dirt will not be lifted. I have 2 dogs and robot vacs are great at picking up hair and dirt. It wouldn't surprise me if this is a rebadged/discontinued roomba model.
yup seen it back in stock in a few places, even yesterday
Is this still being sold at all?
My bad, it was the ecovacs deebot Apologize
Certain it was this model?
Dammit. Missed it. Code expired
If it's smart why does it spend its whole life vacuuming?
I have one, it’s incredible
Found this review where in the comments the reviewer says the e5 is better than the 960 and for the same price: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ch8GQCRZt4k
I wonder which is better -- this one or the roomba e5 that came out this year: https://shop.irobot.co.uk/at/roomba-vacuum-cleaning/irobot-roomba-e5/e515840.html?lang=en_GB The 960 seems to have nice extras like wifi control and room mapping, but does the e5 do a better job of actually cleaning the house? (brushes, power, etc)
Sister in laws parents bought them one of these a couple of years back and they love it.....unfortunately their house still smells of dog even if all the dog hairs gone though...,, (lol) (lol)
I stand corrected - That is an incredible deal, even if it is used! (y)
Hopefully it will be acceptable?
I think that may be the D5 - still a very good deal though :)
Just got a warehouse unit for £299 less 20%! Get in
This is amazing, ordered.
