Add all DLC to cart: £2755.80

Bought 3 to sell on eBay with the £1 FVFs.
Best thing about the PC version is you can download 1000’s of Custom DLC songs, I dont know how to do it as I have PS4 version, or even if it works theough steam, but there are people live streaming it online, some are hit and miss becuase its custom dlc , but some are good versions of songs not on the disc nor in offical dlc

look up Custom dlc+rocksmith2014 on google

An old game, I know, but I’ve been waiting for the price drop of this item for a while now. I believe this is the cheapest it’s been. The cable also works with PC and Xbox.

I have looked around and for the price including the cable its good value. Hopefully others that are searching as you say will find it.

I may even buy the PC/Mac version to load my own DLCs (or whatever they are called) but will wait and see how good the PS4 version is first.

Way more than GH and RB (although that's where I started too). This will teach you how to do it for real. It's not easy and it will be a long ride, but it's worth it. If you want to see what can be achieved, search out Audrey123talks on Youtube. Started when she was 8 years old (Check out her old clips). Is now 12 (I think) and she's just played a live gig in San Francisco as Ubisoft's anniversary show.

Yep, Installed the Remastered patch. You'll get it too as soon as you install RS2014.

Just a few tweaks and improvements to the look, feel and navigation. A really nice upgrade. A few annoyances of mine are now gone.

Be aware, it can be a expensive hobby, this guitar lark. I've spent over £700 on Rocksmith DLC, and I won't go into actual guitars and amps. X)

Absolutely not.... the hacked USB cable for a couple of quid is exactly the same Hardware as the 'Original USB cable'. People are paying massively for same hardware in a USB cable which costs a few quid elsewhere.

The problem with this program is the difficult setting up via Sound settings - original cable, hacked cable, crack or whatnot - regardless of which makes it so hard to setup properly and use.

Also my strings are 20 years old and a bit rusty which doesn't help.

My brother has used the same 'hacked' Cable and it works for him fine.
If you buy this app for £5 and then spend £29 on the original cable, its not a great bargain IMO!

Cracked/custom DLC requires you to have bought at least one piece of DLC legitimately because each track has a different ID, so if you change the ID of a custom track to the ID of one that you already own, Rocksmith will let you play it. Cherub Rock was the first DLC song released (a pre-order) so when custom DLC first became available (which was pretty much immediately) people were more likely to have that than anything else, so the Cherub Rock ID is used for all cracked/custom DLC. You might find someone sharing custom DLC they've made with a different ID, but it's standard practice to use Cherub Rock. If you really didn't want to buy it there's a tool you can use to easily change the ID of all custom tracks to that of another DLC you own, but you'll really save yourself a lot of time just getting the one that everyone else uses!

Last I heard, getting hold of the realtone cable was getting increasingly … Last I heard, getting hold of the realtone cable was getting increasingly difficult and expensive, so probably best to do that before you buy the game, just in case!

Wow, you're right, just had a look on Amazon. I paid around £11.99 for the cable a couple of years ago, after getting the game for about £5 on Steam. Now it's £40! Looks like you'd have to get lucky on eBay.

There are a few alternative 1/4" audio to USB cables, but none of them work with Rocksmith. Not sure why, or if there are any cracks/patches to make them work. I tried a regular line-in cable with the no-cable crack once and, in all honestly, it was pretty useless.

On the playstation you had to already have the old game registered on your account and then pay to get them registered to the 2014 version, think it was about £8 too! Might of changed now though this was when it forst came out. but there are loads of custom ones available if youd prefer to go that way, really easy to set it up

Can you use this with the focusrite scarlett?

I think some have tried and had varied success. In general, not using the default setup (with Real Tone cable etc) tends to result in latency issues and the game can become unstable.

From a programmers POV, I can see why they went down the route of the dedicated real tone cable and standard output hardware. They cannot guarantee that the hardware (especially the PC) has the processing power to cope with all eventualities, and, by locking in this cable, they try to eliminate that issue. Especially so considering this is designed as a multi platform game, where only in one of those platforms (the PC/Mac) is there any real prospect of improved hardware grunt to do the job properly.

In turn, this begs the question what they will do next? I think that they should have designed the software to allow 3rd party addons in the area of inputs and outputs, thus relieving themselves of responsibility of of arising issues but at the same time catering better to the evolving and maturing market. I do not think that they ever though it would get this popular.

Ubisoft are a big company and, as of the end of 2015 at least, do not seem to have a new version in their plans. Sad, because this 'game' could become so huge if they just worked on it.

There other things that could do. allow 'multi-track', where the guitar tracks are separate, as opposed to the equivalent (as it is now) of paying along with what feels like an MP3 track. With multi-track the game can (as you increase the difficulty) fade out that part of the music that you are playing.

The visualisation of the game was much better in the 2013 version, with you on stage and the band around you reacting to you. The menu driven system is quite poor, especially if you are looking for help. A Cortana type system would be much better. For example, 'OK Rocksmith, show me how to change my G string'.

Just my two pence worth.
thanks for the help
