If only they we selling £2 coins for £1.80!!! I'd buy a bag full :-)
All Royal Mint Discounts, Offers and Sale - August 2018
£30 for a penny!!!! I'm not surprised they can give free delivery (lol) (lol) (lol)
Same for me!
Does the code make it free, because it is already free delivery
It says coupon not valid
How sad. Useless tat for a useless occasion.
I got this for much less delivered from Westminster. They buy from Royal Mint and then sell, they offer everything so much cheaper than the Royal Mint and no waiting in ridiculous queues on the Royal Mint website on the day the coins come out. ^ Supersharpshot - These are collectors items. Uncirculated means it's not been scratched in anyone's wallets/pockets, It's brand spanking shiny new! :D It's the new Peter Rabbit design for 2018, they are part of a set. It's hard to find these rare coins in your change so a lot of people buy direct from the Royal Mint. They do go up in value as with all coins.
£10 for a 50p coin? Is this actually worth more than 50p for any reason? Honest question not trolling.
It lets me apply the code in the payment stage, not before
Doesn't seem to work with code PST063
Code works when you have selected delivery at payment stage. Cheers
Absolutely crap, I lost £198 from last year coins, very cold from me - 10
Hi, anyone receive theirs, may I ask for help (first time buy this after reading this thread): one coin is sitting not straight but 90 degree turn and the other one: coin is OK but full of white little things inside the transparent plastic. I don't know how to open the transparent box to clean it. should I ask for exchange and who pay for the return and exchange postage ? (sorry could not see any terms on royal mint) not feeling happy as a first time shopper with royal mint with such poor standard. Also they send the coins just in a brown paper envelope (not even a bubble envelope at all), inside only the coins on their own without any wrapping. Seems to me not acting like a professional seller (and they sell coins worldwide as a UK official site! Charge coins so much not even bother to send it with a bubble wrapped envelope??? I packed much much better when I sold my ebay item (and they only sell under £20), I packed my dvd boxset with layers of bubbles then cushion with papers, send it out inside a cartoon box so it arrived safe and sound. And I am just a amateur seller!
Why redo Peter rabbit every year why not Alice and wonderland or something different the following year.
If you are after uncirculated ones, look here: https://www.westminstercollection.com/Products/SearchResults.aspx?cty=0&kwd=£1+2013&met=0&pti=* (strong)
Was quite a few knocking around. I may have a couple of the welsh floral ones.
DON'T get ripped off by the Royal Mint. Remember that any commemorative £20/50/100 coin is ONLY worth its weight in silver which is about 15% of face value. You CANNOT pay them into a bank or sell for enough on eBay! Cooling added as the RM are misleadingcrooks!
Voted hot, don't really need it but as I buy from RM quite often, it's something extra for free at least. Worth 8 quid form what I can see on google search, I might put my coin folders in it! Thanks OP!
sorry got mixed up with the wrong company
terrible deal. terrible company
I pretty much have put my house on it.
OP you picked a difficult item to highlight on a forum like this. it's a commemorative issue and a lot of its value is accorded to to it by collectors rather than the value of the contents. Items of high selling price often don't have that value for example do those who buy Apple phones think about the 25p it cost some kid to assemble it in China?
Unlikely to lose 50% of its value in two days..
Scrap value of gold is about £425 here. The price of gold would have to more than double to make this a good investment based on scrap price alone. Avoid as investment in gold only.
Absolute tat, you have to be a grade A moron to buy that crap.
Might be pretty cool cheers for posting (highfive)
you Dont get Money off you get a Free Gift worth £25 Sorry
I’ve tried and it’s still saying full price.
That's what I thought. Thanks
I'd say no. It's only uncirculated rather than proof and isn't one of the coins with a high value stamped on it (like £20, £50 etc) which are slightly easier to sell. I think it would sell for £20-25. The free set is ok and worth about £15-20.
Is it worth paying £52.50 for a one ounce coin? Even with a free set, which I doubt will fetch half of its price tag. I've made some terrible purchase from royalmint, I don't want to add to that list
Interesting article - Thanks

Y cold? 15% seems to be a good offer.

Expensive coins.... from £50 to £46,995.00 - and just one free bag while stocks last
thanks, ordered one for my daughter
I stand corrected.
Not for this one.... it's the silver proof you refer to, that is where the link goes
Bids already made on ebay for £60 plus.
Pre order from Royal mint using subscription service, I've had mine in hand for a few days now.
Have a look. --->. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/LIMITED-50-Fifty-Pence-50p-Beatrix-Potter-JEREMY-FISHER-2017-SILVER-PROOF-Coin-/302345876082?_trkparms=aid%253D222007%2526algo%253DSIC.MBE%2526ao%253D1%2526asc%253D20150519202351%2526meid%253Dcc3bd0b6b3f745b896d9a6884d65d098%2526pid%253D100408%2526rk%253D14%2526rkt%253D25%2526sd%253D201884669331&_trksid=p2349624.c100408.m2460
That Jermey Kyle is a bit dirty...
I presume the fleabay sellers have their orders in as the dispatch dates they have are from Thursday onwards
How are so many for sale on ebay if just gone on sale? Voted hot by the way, made a stack selling the last coin.
Don't no Sorry !
Do these ever go up in value?
You can exchange them for stamps and any service the post office does
I felt mislead by my last purchase from royal mint. I bought £100 coins for my kids and was under the impression they would be able to be exchanged at a bank at any time for £100 as they were legal tender. Turns out they aren't accepted at all and they now sell for way less than face value on eBay
