Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity 24GB GDDR6X Ray-Tracing Graphics Card, 10496 Core, 1695MHz Boost, 3 x DisplayPort, HDMI, IceStorm 2.0 Advanced Cooling Pre order for 1st November 2020

No idea, but I assume AMD will want to compete with the RTX 3070. They have a conference next week on the 29th. All will be revealed then.

Cheers for that - is the 6700 going to be roughly around the £400 price point?

Wait until AMD release the 6700X in November or the 6600X in January.

Is it just me or has there been a shortage of GPU deals lately? Looking for a decent mid-range card but not seen much at all of late. (confused)

I kept refreshing and it went through on like my 10th try

Out of stock everywhere I checked & don’t forget the cash back with the code Q4QUK “valid till 11th of OCT”

Smart move I think for most ps5 will be fine for 2-3 years before it starts to feel dated graphics wise. Consoles are always medium to low end (this gen is a more impressive medium but at a much higher cost than last gen) If you want to live in 'the future' of consoles buy an nvidia 3000 series at rrp (and not a penny more) Best time to buy ps5/xbx/nvidia/amd will be late nov /early dec. Best prices, best availability, and you'll know all your options

Well console gameplay alone has impressed me enough so if they dont produce a comparable gpu I will just continue with xbox /ps5 purchases. I certainly won't touch a 3080 at an inflated price. (650 is acceptable though).

Good call. A likely 3080 with more vram (would be stupid simple to have 12GB as the traces are already on existing boards, but wouldn't discount 20GB as leaks from multiple AIBs have pointed to)

Prepare to be disappointed. I know as a former and reformed AMD fanboi of about a decade Nvidia is just too far ahead at this point. Since AMD took over ATi they kind of gimped the engineering teams and handed nvidia an easy win since r9 fury days AMD big navi will have ray tracing... First gen, buggy driver, low performance (even on low settings) ray tracing with sluggish frame rates

Yes, I do have some concern even if AMD release a card theoretically as 'good' at gaming as Nvidia in terms of rasterisation performance then the drivers or DLSS equivalent or ray tracing equivalent, etc won't be as good. Going to wait till early next year to see what the reviews say and then put my money on what I think gives best value for my purposes.
