A neighbour told me about the annual passes the other day, they are well worth it if you live close enough. £100 for an adult and £75 for a child. She said they go once or twice a week in the school holidays. Link https://www.longleat.co.uk/ticket/annual-pass

We've been to a few over the last 6 or so years. They are superb.

Went last year and this is fantastic. I used clubcard vouchers which I assume is still better value?

There's no evidence that cot bumpers prevent injuries. They may trap heat inside the cot and your toddler may climb on them or become tangled. Studies have shown that cot bumpers can also cause strangulation or suffocation. They are therefore not recommended. https://www.babycentre.co.uk/a418/safety-in-your-babys-bedroom The NHS also recommend against them

I think they are or at least they're considered generally unsafe! (poo)

Great deal . My husband was a veteran and then went back in . They don't look after them whilst in or when they leave but it's nice to see a good deal for the soldiers as my husband usually screws i can get student discount but he cant get a military discount

Jellybeans

Well you've dug a hole for yourself. First you say you have full respect for anyone who has served. Then you follow up calling an ex-veteran who has served a 'sad' individual. Pat yourself on back will you.

PageTurner

It sounds to me like you've dug a hole and now trying to get out. I for one have full respect for anyone who gives up a civilian life to help protect our country whilst putting their lives at serious risk. Someone doesn't have to serve 'multi decade' to be injured or have their mental health affected by the strain. You should have a bit of respect for ALL current and ex military personnel no matter what their length of service. What a sad individual you are.

bangytupper

You're entitled to your opinion, as am I. A veteran is anyone who completes 1 day of Service. Someone binned on the first day of Basic Training is a veteran, we're not all multi decade, multi war/ conflict vets. Few of us were even heroes. Do I like it if business offer discounts for ex forces? Of course I do, although I don't think I've taken advantage of any.

Zambooka

I tried this option and you are right - only one tab and a horrible interface too. HOWEVER.. you can install Focus and then enjoy the same benefits of it via safari by enabling it in content blockers from the settings menu 8)

x-man

Android does not support these sort of extensions - so the best you really can do is use an app from a reputable source. One thing for sure is do not use anything that is trying to install proxy settings to manage your traffic. This extract from the article I posted above applies to Android too: “Of those, I disqualified: AdBlock, and Weblock for trying to setup bullshit DNS proxies for your devices. They both ended with an overall rating of ‘fuck off’ so I recommend not using them.”

x-man

Still I think there is some battery saving there to gain... as there would be no need to download a lot of stuff which would be large pics as opposed to just texts... but for me is a secondary benefit, not the main reason to install one. Not all ad blockers perform the same, see the article I posted above...

oldskoo1

Just a few comments on speed and battery life. The processing required to interpret and strip tracking tags from every page loaded does outweigh loading the tags themselves, cumulatively for an average browsing session. So don't install this because you think you will get better battery life or faster load speeds. The compute overhead to check every page is higher than you think. Certain blockers had added latency as well if they utilise VPNs or API URL/pattern checks. That is of course you primarily read trashy news sites like the dailymail or click bait news then these may just provide a net positive result on the speed/battery front. As for decluttering the browsing experience, then clearly a winner here.
