WeeRide Classic Safe Front Mounted Children's Bike Seat, Ages 1-4, £45.99 @ Amazon (Prime Exclusive)

Great price for this, very rarely drops below the £50 mark -cheapest I think it’s ever been!?
while these feel safer as you see your kid (as opposed to your kid smelling your backside) they are not safer in anyway, if you fall down, your child might hit the handlebards or it might hit the pavement as hard as it would from the rear mounted one.
Rear mounted ones are more convenient IMO
Yes, it could scratch your frame if you're not careful, but you leave the bar mounted, so it's not on and off every week. Just the seat removes.

Doesn't get in your way much when cycling. You sort of get used to it.

So those disadvantages get outweighed by the advantages of having your child safe between your arms. Much, much better if you're doing anything extreme as the centre of gravity is more amidships where it would usually be. My boy used to love going around the English National BMX track, especially with all the other "flying bicycles".

Regarding size, I was sceptical, especially as my lad is huge for his age. Forget the guarantee they offer. You can just use a Stanley knife or jigsaw to cut out the front toe area of the foot holders. That'll give you at least another year of use. It would be easy to duck tape back up if you later wanted it for a younger child.

Bargain, for sure and the memories of all the trails we did are priceless.

But yes, check your frame size/style as it's true it wouldn't mount on all types.
We had this but found it too small when my boy was only about 2.1/2.
We ended up getting the Co RIDER upfront seat. Our son is now 6 and is only just too big though I can still remove the leg supports. Its very stable and well balanced and the child has their own hand supports.Always got a lot of people stopping and asking questions.

Thanks OP
My two cents, having done lots of research to upgrading to smart locks, is that apart from the Yale Conexis there is no other option atm in the UK.

Alternative are the Yale keypads or from another company, but they should be used as secondary locks.

IMO it is better to wait another 6 months to 12 months to see what new smart locks are launched in the UK. There's alot of good options in the US, and inevitably some will make it over or there will be a homegrown copycat.
Edited by: "boonkoh" 26th Nov 2017
Yale has a smart lock called Keyfree connected with physical keys, which is now disappeared from their website. It's far too expensive consider the limited functionality it provides and how difficult the software is to use.

There are plenty international competitors including major brands likes Samsung, which come with biometric/fingerprint scanner, password, fob and software/remote authentication, at a much reasonable price. It's just they don't fit on UPVC doors, which is a shame.

Thanks for the deal op.I have to say that this smart lock really should …Thanks for the deal op.I have to say that this smart lock really should have physical key access as a backup. A mix of both a basic door lock and a smart lock. What if the door lock fails? A backup would be sensible.I'm all for a smart home but don't think i would use a smart lock just yet. My smartthings can sometimes go down (sensors mainly so not serious). Reliability on smart home products aren't 100% (for me anyway).I know this Yale lock doesn't have Echo or Google Home support. But if you're looking to buy a smartlock that has support for either then make sure you can't activate the lock outside by using your voice. For example, don't have the echo or home sitting beside an open window.Sorry for rambling on but thought I'd throw in some info.

I agree on the basis of things going down and also there should be some physical way of getting in too. Regarding the Echo support it's there now (with additional stuff) but is working, unsure of Google Home though
Quite like the look of this, but not sure if it would look out of place for my front door:
