Can I not have discussion about Veganism without being Vegan and being a meat eater?
Can I not appreciate and support veganism without being vegan?
My kids ate meat until they were old enough to question it. My daughter asked at the age of 5 what chicken nuggets were and when I said it was from a chicken she was totally confused and kept asking how. Essentially I had to explain that they killed the chicken and took off all the bits that make it look like a chicken to leave the edible bits. She was horrified that we had been feeding her animals for 5 years and she asked that we didn’t feed her animals ever again. Children are perfectly able to understand the concept of eating dead animals from a young age if you tell them the truth. You see it’s a conditioning of modern society that disconnects the animal from the meat. The slaughter house and the supermarkets do all the work to remove any traces and you don’t tell your kids what it is PRECISELY so they can’t form their own unbiased opinion until eating meat is a well established part of their routine and by that point they already have a bias. The fact you see it the other way is a result of said conditioning.
No you do, you assume I am a Vegan basher and then sit there and say you are not Vegan but say that people like me wade into these conversations, are u just trolling then? Your statement 'You’re talking about a small minority of vegans. Something most of the people debating in this group are not a part of. I’m talking about you. The thing you’re doing now.' What are you doing then?
I’m not a vegan but you carry on making assumptions.
