Hope it wasn’t fake as it was from Currys! Bought with a samsung Tab A 10.1”
Strange, knock on wood all our phones use these Samsung cards and all these years have been going strong. I am sure the fake copies that look alike are the ones that are failing.
Yep that’s how ours went, i’d never buy samsung agajn
The BA Avios Online store are doing 700 bonus Avios when you spend £5 or more in two transactions at any of their affiliated retailers. I chose Currys/PC World as the retailer, and ordered one of these cards twice, which will then give me 700 bonus Avios points. Might be useful to others who like to double-dip on good deals and points! https://www.shopping.ba.com/
Just to follow up. A very helpful lady from currys rang me the next day to ask why the collection wasn't made, so I explained I thought it would be an exchange etc. I'm going to be near my local currys tomorrow so will take them in store for an exchange and she has put notes on the order to explain the situation.
I had a DPD driver turn up today to collect these cards and give me a replacement. He didn't know anything about a replacement so I decided to just keep them as I could only see it being grief if I had handed them over without a replacement.
Just received my order, not an EVO Plus card, just a regular EVO. Phoned Curry's but the girl was so useless, I gave up bothering to try return it. She couldn't speak to me because I'm not the account holder, I don't even have a Curry's account (:I I used guest checkout using my own PayPal and put my girlfriends name on the address as she'd be here for post. Curry's girl would've realised that if she'd paid any attention but she sounded like she couldn't be arsed from the get-go.
64gb class 10 micro sd for £4.02 on amazon (free delivery for prime): https://www.amazon.co.uk/64GB-Memory-Class-Xperia-Ultra/dp/B07PYYVNB4 probably very limited stock though.
Unless you're not bothered about write speeds & want to save yourself 4 quid that is.

I ordered the 2tb version of this from Amazon France and did not have to pay more than the price which was displayed at the checkout. I am not sure but I think they deducted tax but added other fees which was only a very slightly more for those who wanted to import. I paid €193.07 instead of €189.99 The only difficulty was the follow up e-mails were in French. I used online translators which was fine.
There shouldn't be any as long as you don't order loads of those
Charlie12 agree with you . My two newer sandisk 128gb arrived yesterday and working fine....damn market sellers .
Avoid marketplace sellers - stick with Amazon direct (which is this very deal)
The two I received few weeks ago I had to send back to amazon. Even though sold by a market place seller. Both not good . First time any sd cards have frozen up my laptop. Loads of problems.... sticking to only sandisk in future even if I'm paying a bit more .
Price has raised to normal again. Amazon International has them at similar to this price but OOS. 😪
Don't know about China but I didn't pay any UK VAT on those EU SSD
Switch 213. Since January the 1st regardless how much you spend on an item on any of the Chinese websites the UK government now has an agreement that they charge you 20% VAT regardless what you buy and the money goes to the UK government no allowance whatsoever. Certainly has put a downer on all the great stuff I get when the need to add the vat now.
Well currently the SSD is priced very close but just under that limit, therefore amazon are correctly not charging vat for one SSD. My understanding is the carriage and associated charges are not included in the £135 limit and the advertised price includes Spanish vat that must be deducted first, so the calculation works as follows: Exchange rate, £135 * 1.15 = €155.25 Advertised price with VAT, 155.25 * 1.21 = €187.85 Therefore anything advertised at €187.85 or less is UK vat exempt, and this SSD is currently priced €187.50!
That is odd... Either way, whatever Amazon bills you is the total cost. You won’t be billed any additional. They can if you buy from Amazon.com though. Final price there isn’t always the exact price you’ll be billed but usually pretty close.
That's weird as you are meant to be subject to UK VAT for imports of more than 150 euros/£135. However import duties only appear on Amazon Spain if you put two SSDs in your basket.

Received the drive today. An absolute bargain for £63.98.
Just to say, delivered earlier today just as you would expect ;-)
I 100% understand why they're selling through third parties, because Game, Argos etc help them make a killing on games and accessories... But guess how much I'm spending on games and accessories for a console I can't get! Diddly- (poo) !
Yeah, you're 100% right, and it's not even complicated to implement. Which shows its down to greed, plain and simple. Greed from Sony, greed from the retailers and greed from those scalping them. I'll probably wait until the next revision of the PS5 at this rate. No doubt they'll release a slim model like always (lol)
Also on Currys website with free delivery. edit: Mine website order arrived and it is a legit Red EVO Plus.
Just checked, didn't realise is been diddled over the Evo/Evo plus debacle. Grrrrrrr. Cards both work fine but Currys are now off my Christmas card list.
WARNING: I ordered this from Curry's ebay a couple of weeks ago and they sent Samsung Evo cards (NOT Evo Plus) which are cheaper cards I beleive.
I ordered two cards, they both appear to meet my action camera 4k needs, but... The writing on them is slightly different, they both work nicely, but when viewed together the writing is different on them. If I'm being honest, that messes with me a bit.
Cant believe this has gotten so much heat when they have been advertising one card and yet despatching the lesser discontinued standard older evo model. Still havent had decency to reply to any of our emails nor update paypal resolution cases we had to open

I got 3 of them. Yellow ones turned up. Didn’t think much about it until these last few comments appeared. Had 100MB/s written on them, same as the Evo Plus. Thinking back when I burnt my image, the read / verify was fine - up to 100MB/s. However, the write speed was gash 5-10MB/s. Think I’ll try and return the. Feel I’ve been had.
WARNING: I ordered this from Curry's ebay a couple of weeks ago and they sent Samsung Evo cards (NOT Evo Plus) which are cheaper cards I believe.
bought 2 :)
Just had this turn up. Are they the same card?
Woop, ordered 2 for my Wyze Cams. Cheers OP! :)

I bought the same card a few weeks ago. My card is legit. I've been using it in my Avermedia capture card with no issues!
My previous experience with third party sellers for these is that they were fake. Really slow write speeds and if you tried to format it with the SD Association tool it failed. But as said above easily returned as fulfilled by Amazon.
If its fake amazon has perhaps the best customer services of all brands I've shopped with, so what's the issue? I recently bought one from My memory that was a fake, have I got my money back yet? No....
Has HUKD deals changed the criterior for sellers on Amazon? I know it's fulfilled by Amazon but it's clearly a very small business working out of a bedroom or similar and what's the chances of getting a fake card I wonder. However, the seller is VAT and companies house registered
What are some reliable enclosures/ caddy's to stick this samsung ssd inside? I'm planning on using it externally for my games on a ps5/ xbox series x. I don't want to get an enclosure that could possibly reduce the read/ write speeds or cause overheating of the drive, but also don't want to spend more than around £15ish for one. Thanks everyone who can tell me what to look out for and what to avoid (y)
Using the 870 Evo in magician, although it says the drive doesn't support most of the features, any idea why this might be?
I may have misunderstood you here, but if you are blaming the EU for the UK choosing to leave it's previous trading arrangement then I think you have the wrong target.
Whats the warranty situation with this?
Ordered the 2tb version. Thanks. I was going to get it from amazon.co.uk but that deal ran out yesterday. I ended up paying £169.44 from Amazon France. I am surprised that no customs tax is payable!

I've been using the 64gb version in my dashcam for 2 years and no issues.
Thanks for that. (y) 🏻
The manufacturers always advice getting an Endurance-type card for dashcsms. If you want to save cash get this size and spec from Netac. A guy on YouTube has a video review where he continuously wrote and rewrote over it on his security cam. Zero problems.

Just thought I may as well post here for future reference. I bought one for the sale price (£55.99) and checked it was genuine using Samsung's official tool. It verified it, I chucked it in my Switch and it's been working perfectly since. Amazing deal
Super heat by the way. I just coughed up £88.10 😩😩😩
I got one and it was fake. Got a refund straight away and didn’t want the card back! Says it all really but if you no nothing about SD cards then i guess you wouldn’t know the difference. Just be careful on Fleabay.
Was about to order but gone up to £78.61, so with voucher £62.89. con
Hmm. I suppose it is down to what you want from it. At 512Gb you can afford to lose one or two anyway. Amazon.com, the US site, seems to have a lot of feedback on it.
