Mine cracked on the plastic the first time I used it, must have made the Sandwich too thick. Still works tho so for the price can't really complain.

I bought one when it was at this price last time. It's fine for normal bread. It basically krimps the crust off. That's the best way I can explain it.

Ahh! This will look great at the back of my cupboard. Thanks for sharing OP - heat added!

They are a bit too small for normal sized bread. You have to remove the crusts and thick sliced bread doesn't work well in it either

Are they food normally they small for a normal size of bread

Grill plates don't seal sandwiches on the edges.

Simply use the grill plates and cut manually.

Cold. Frequently £25 or less at Robert Days or Amazon, and as mentioned the build quality is poor. One of the catches on ours has broken and so a teaspoon is required to change plates.

Not a good item. Impossible to find bread that fits, and the plastic bits that hold the plates in break, as do the plastic hinges. Piece of junk.

Good deal. I had bought a month ago from Amazon for 33.

Brought about a week ago from argos for 29.99. Takes 5 minutes to warm up, bread i buy is too large and the crusts stick out the ends. Even after 6 minutes at max the toast doesn't seem right. Prefer my old 4.99 machine. This is loads easier to clean though which is the main reason i brought it.

Have had this toaster and it is really not good.

I always like to read the comments for this sandwich maker because my experience always seems to be so different (:I I love mine and have never needed to cut away the crust to make it fit. The bread does need to be in a sideways orientation though (I use medium Hovis/Kingsmill). I use mine at least once a week either for a pizza toastie or waffles at the weekends.

Same price on Amazon

Bought one of these recently. They’re not very good. Takes ages to make the toastie and the crusts become very veryhard. Would certainly not recommend tho I also paid £34 quid for mine.

Thanks for taking the time to post @HibbaAdil :3

Cheese and bean... or jam with cold custard are the best

I have the triple snack maker version of this (which does sandwiches, paninis and waffles) and it's great. Make sure you get the biggest bread you can and you'll be delighted. Heat!

Any tomato based curry with a bit of brie, mango chutney and hot sauce :o I might have gotten a bit too into leftover toasties in lockdown 1.

Hot sauce works well also (y)

thanks for thanking me Ron

Thanks for explaining the joke, John.

very good point, all of us suffer from the 'law of diminishing returns' ie when we get a new gadget we are gongho to try it out and use it and as we use it the thrill of using something new slowly subsides and then the new toy is just left on the shelf or put in a drawer, joining many others that had suffered the same ...i have a deep fryer 5yrs old i used everyday for a whole week some 5yrs ago and never since and it still next to the microwave on the kitchen top lol (lol)

That me having cheese and bean Toasties for suppa bout it last year not using it in a while think I payed 28 though still good at what it does

Not deep fill. Just a normal toastie maker, but the removable plates are handy. But £22 for a toasted sandwich maker? You can get them for a tenner
