Well not on this occasion gave me used one and got PM so I now know what this person is doing is creating lots accounts with nero and got loads codes just giving out to ppl be it used or whatever!!!

lighti

Well mine didn’t so I’m reporting so there u go! NOT THAT it’s any of ur business! Who told u to read my comment anyway so keep out!!!

rachelandgromit

Doesn't help to be honest for me, inside I have the booster but outside of the house the WiFi signal isn't great either and WiFi calling was impossible. If the power goes, like what happened to me, no WiFi, no booster therefore no signal.

captainbeaky

You could try Three “InTouch” WiFi calling. It should work automatically if you’ve got a compatible phone or use their app if your phone isn’t supported. Works for me - as I struggle to get a decent signal when at home.

rachelandgromit

It plugs into your router and boosts your phone signal, but it also needs power too. It works fine but I still can't get a signal when I leave the house. I also had an issue when we had a power cut last week (we seem to have electric issues weekly here). No power, no router, no WiFi and no booster so no phone signal. Had to drive almost 3 miles away for a phone signal so I could report electricity fault.

We went through a few different types before getting the breville, all the others ended up in cupboards due to lack of use before being dumped, this breville is in a different league.

Would this be a better alternative at the same price? https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01GFPWNJE/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1523482814&sr=8-5π=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=george+foreman+grills&dpPl=1&dpID=31YQe0XzZGL&ref=plSrch

Steaks, burgers, chicken breasts (butterfly first), bacon - only limitation is your imagination ! We even use ours to reheat oven chips. Only thing I haven't mastered is cooking an egg on it. Ours is used a few times a week, now on our 2nd after wearing out the first one after 3 years hard labour

Savo

Thanks, ordered :-)

Rebellion

Got one of these for this price from Argos recently and have to say I love it. Now hopelessly addicted to cheese & ham toasted bagels. The massive pro is nothing seems to stick so its super easy to clean. Its big enough to fit 2 standard size slices of bread side-by-side so you could heat 2 toasties at the same time.

To be fair, using these for anything other than deliciously crunchy toasted sandwiches is asking for a whole load of trouble trying to clean burned on meat juices from the plates. We've got a great Tefal one and it gets used most weeks, but it's rubbish for chicken and meat.

Rolling? Can't say I've had that problem myself to be honest. When I slice them in half the only issue I have is with the top half sliding off the bottom half when I press it down, but you can fix that by just cutting them straight. You could always try flattening the baguette a bit by hand before you put it in?

kmirza

Doing fine with panini maker but how do I stop baguettes rolling. I have to literally hold it with my hand and end up burning hands. Any tips?

djbenny1

Nice one, just make sure if using the baguettes you squash them down to flatten a little (using the handle - not too hard though as your filling may squeeze out!) and cook them in the press until the bread is nice and brown on the parts in contact with the plates. They'll be nice and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, then! The filling will be like lava though, so take care

Infiltrator

We use our breville to cook sandwiches, toasted wraps, bacon, steaks, chicken breasts, burgers, sausages, reheat oven chips, etc etc. Tried all the usual sandwich makers, George foreman grills and junked them all for this one, now on our second, the first one was just worn out after 2 years hard use.

kmirza

Now school is closed so 14 year old can get on with panini maker ;) 🤔 :|

I bought one a few weeks back at Dyas for £30 (😑) and it’s the scalloped sandwich plates. It’s nice only having to store plates in a drawer rather than having two or three separate units. I’ve made waffles and sandwiches, it’s a good bit of kit :) cleaning’s nice and easy unless you overfill the sandwich. For £22 it’s a steal.

Anyway this is going OT. Voted hot, you can't beat a good old bacon butty to lift spirits.

145 so double your IQ 😁 You need to change your attitude, otherwise the younger generation will despise you. Essentially your the grumpy old man that whinged about womans rights in the 60s. Change or become a relic.

ChrisPalmer

Amusing. Perhaps you should send yourself back for using the same tired old line (not an argument) that people such as yourself trip out - that anyone whom they come across who may hold a different opinion to their own is some sort of backwards moron. Invoking the spirit of the age too - wow, I've never heard that one before. You must be a genius. What's your IQ?

Bsod

Sure dude, sharing a view is different to some knucklehead posting provocative comments with the clear intention of stirring up hatred. Thankfully people in your minority are a relic (soon to be extinct) in modern Britain. Shame we haven't invented time travel, then we could send you back to 1968, where you and your archaic views belong.

Seeing that this sort of thing is so adaptable - I'd look for a stove based on other requirements. For occasional use, these are good but the gas is expensive... https://www.decathlon.co.uk/portable-gas-stove-id_8342644.html?_cclid=v3_fe0da1c3-a3cc-5947-88b1-1c83a0d83e49&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIkIHN4Nbn2AIVLbvtCh1T9whqEAkYBSABEgJLI_D_BwE Or, if you want a bit cheaper gas (very cheap if you can find somewhere that will refill it for you rather than replace - but be VERY careful it's done right if so) - a burner that sits on a Campingaz 907 or similar cylinder - burner cost me £15 and I got a full cylinder second hand from someone that'd got it with something else and already had one for £30 - full cylinder lasts ages even with the decently hot 3kw burner - hotter than a lot of home stoves.

keyupixax

It toasts sandwiches and paninis equally well, although I have tried few variations of the fillings.

furiousjammin

Just checked the link you posted and it's identical to the fox one so I'd definitely recommend that one.

furiousjammin

Depends what type of stove you want. The type I use for fishing are this type Fox stove but any type like that are great as they fold down to around the size of a wallet. Then a gas can (can't remember the type it takes but they are around (£5 each) and they last a good few uses. It all depends how much you want to spend. Folding stoves start from around £15 and go up to £100+. I've been using the fox one for a couple of years for kettle and cooking and it's never let me down.

jo_bob

Can anyone recommend a stove to go with this at all? This one seems cheap? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Terra-Hiker-Portable-Convenient-Backpacking/dp/B06XRD22KJ?psc=1&SubscriptionId=AKIAJ7T5BOVUVRD2EFYQ&tag=camelproducts-21&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B06XRD22KJ I don't fish, but I do go camping and I have been glued to the carp TV you tube videos of recipe ideas for these things!
