Just what I was looking for, can't see the display on my scales for my beer gut in the way !
All Scales Discounts, Offers and Sale - August 2018
These Salter scales, which are also sold by Argos, are £1.04 cheaper (which includes optional postage of £3.95) but as well as body fat analysis they also do hydration analysis as well.
My understanding is for body fat % the scales send an electrical pulse through your feet and time how long it takes to travel through you. Your fat slows it down (presumably). The scales (or a connected app) then do the maths. How accurate they are I’ve no idea!
I can't think if any way these machines could possibly determine body fat content/BMI etc. If someone could provide a scientific explanation?
What do you mean all the deals in one what others are there ?
Trusted Reviews - 7/10 (Review price £90) Tesco - 4.5/5 (based on 45 reviews) I've taken a punt at this price, if it's no good then it's easy enough to return.
Classical fretboard is much wider, body shape and size is different, strings are nylon, sound is very different. Yes, the basics are the same, but you can get a decent steel string acoustic for similar money if you keep an eye on Amazon. It's well reviewed at a good price so a decent deal - I'm actually quite tempted myself, but someone specifically asked if it was good for a beginner and I'd argue not, unless it's classical they want to learn. It's certainly much harder trying to play a steel string acoustic if all you are used to is a smaller body, nylon string classical. Not as bad the other way around, except for the wider fretboard.
Found this on YouTube some may find interesting.
Not strictly true. The basics of it are the same, you could easily get this and learn all kinds of chords and shapes on it without worrying too much about it. It's a cheap way of getting into guitar.
Looks great, I've ordered for friends birthday Thanks OP
Mine arrived today - I tested it out and found that the length measuring is surprisingly accurate but the weight measurement is very poor. I weighed a 5KG cast iron weight and it said it was 4.5KG. The same weight on my accurate digital kitchen scales comes out at 5.029 KG. This digital luggage scale is underestimating the weight by 10% and I think that is a pretty significant error especially when you consider you are relying on this to not go over weight on your luggage. Would be interested to hear how accurate other people's scales are that they've received. Tried weighing a 10kg weight and it says it's 9.2kg. Checked the weight on my other trusted scales and those scales say 10kg. This is not fit for purpose.
I bought one but just noticed on CCC that it's been £6.99 since Feb so only really £1 saving. Also, it's never been on sale on Amazon for more than £9.99 (it's been selling since Jan 2016) and yet in the Amazon listing they lie and state that the price was £19.99 (...)
Heat added, it looks a good quality item for that price, great for weighing Ebay parcels before you head of down the post office with a kettle to be told its £14 at the cheapest unless you can trim 7g off it!
Dropped a further £1.81 to just £5.99 delivered prime
Cold from me as in the questions it says the mechanical side does not work with out a battery, and still trying to work out what's smart about it.
Can I ask what deal? Thanks
I was exactly the same, in the end I bought neither and ended up getting an s9 on contract.
I'm still hovering on this. Obviously no codes work so it's 350 or bust. Can't decide on this or the Huawei mate 10 Pro which is hovering around the same price.
All these comments put me off buying these scales (poo) (fierce)
Or chocolate logs.
Brownies for work!
Sorry I am not a member of that"we".. (:I
Noooo now that would be weird. He gets on the scales before and after he's done his business. Surely we've all done it before, haven't we? (annoyed) (lol)
Cheaper elsewhere (as at this moment), hence cold deal. Search on HUKD. Good phone though.
Sorry corrected title
They've obviously sold out as I don't believe it was due to expire until midnight. They were still in stock an hour ago
I got this one to start then upgraded to the one up. The extra features of the upgraded are not worth it in my opinion. Body fat extra is so variable I dont trust it. Love them both though and highly recommended they really help with keeping you in check. Had mine 3 years and both going strong.
I'm not sure how many you'd need to eat to gain that much sorry
I've had the middle version for just over 3 years, hands down its the best scale I've ever used (and I've used many). The two things that stand out are 1. The app integration - It automatically syncs your weight and body fat every time you step on it. The app gives you a rich source of data in graphs and numbers showing how much weight you have lost or gained. I can pin point and compare which months over the years my diet fell apart. 2. Multiple profiles - You can set the scale up for different users, when you step on the scale your name comes up (limited to 3 letters) that shows your stats and syncs back to the app. My fav feature is that when you stand on the scale it shows how much you have lost or gained since the last weigh in. Its customisable so you can turn this features on or off. I paid about £100 back then when it was under the Withings brand, would buy it again if it ever packed up edit I've had no issues with syncing since the move to the Nokia app.
Need one for each foot.
People should vote for cheapest deal for the item, yes you can buy cheaper scales, but these scales at this price are the cheapest.
Thanks for the vote. I know they're not exactly cheap scales but I've read decent reviews and have been waiting ages for a price drop. I got a fitbit step/sleep tracker on a deal so being able to use the same app is a plus for me.
Why so cold. These scales are great. Thankyou for post. Vote hot from me as they retail at £120
Your can spell it Gram or Gramme. This one is better for £16.99 https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/Digital-Electronic-40kg-Fruit-Veg-Shop-Retail-Weigh-Scale-UK-Plug/905963403?iid=292612154672&_trkparms=aid=222007&algo=SIM.MBE&ao=2&asc=49130&meid=b274c708100f49b69707418cf56daa14&pid=100005&rk=6&rkt=12&sd=222948196329&itm=292612154672&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
See above - 3 grams is a ton!
£40 or 3 for £100
How much is a gram?
It comes with a battery, iv got the pink which was £2.99 about 4 months back, decent little thing, battery still going
I bought it and surprisingly it came with a battery.
Good price so heat from me but remember does not come with a battery according to Argos so add a quid on top for that.. But personsally I would always buy one with AA batteries otherwise I find it runs out at some crucial moment
Good way to lose some pounds
Can't get this barcode online
Do you have a barcode for this?
I'll have to weigh this up.
Once set up it's really good and easy to use
Thanks for the Info!!! No buy!
good for £11.99, but as another has said, it is an incredible faff to work...you would expect if you want to use scales you simply stand and read the value....not these, instead you have to stand on it to turn it on, step back off it, wait 5 seconds then finally stand back on...if you simply stand on it and don't come back off, it will will go through user selection (which is another faff in itself)
Is there a code to use as it's gone up to £15?
That was my point :) Your listing is fine I just get tired of Amazon misleading with false claims of £ X amount off which don't seem to add up ?
It's usually £39.99 from Amazon. Third party prices on 3 camels never include the p&p so can't be truly compared.
They seem to like it here : https://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-smart-scales/ [not read the article yet]
£18 off... great !!! Oh......
The app is free on iOS and Android works well. Nice for the bathroom
