good scales, son loves it, very handy & easy to clean

Gutted payed £5 over a month ago and haven't used it yet. It's not even being opened lol Funny thing when I needed it I didn't have it, now I have it I don't need it Guess I should bake at least one cake but I need cake tins and a whisk

I use my scales all the time! Then again I've lost a lot of weight helped by weighing out my food

Another kitchen gadget to sit and gather dust while waiting for the popsy ping, ding.

Saw these in Barnsley Asda yesterday, so it's nationwide. Great price for accurate electronic scales.

George Home Digital Kitchen Scale was £5 now £2.50 @ Asda
Refreshed 12th OctRefreshed 12th OctLocalLocal
Lots of kitchen stuff reduced at Asda Andover, including this digital kitchen scale from £5 to £2.50. Still lots left on shelf.

If it was I'll be made since I still have one sitting in drawer from weeks ago, I paid £5 That's the thing about kitchen gadgets for example I bought a blender thinking I'll make smoothies and milkshakes all the time but I make about 5 drinks

Posted this last week

These are in Kendal too. It's a bit small to use a normal plate. But I've placed a plastic tray from my old scales on it and then I can use a plate on top of that and still read the weight. Simples!

National? Damn paid full price for this a few months ago haha (excited)

cheaper than buying a new battery...

The 15 year guarantee alone is worth the £2.50, Bargain!

Might get one. I've got a set of BF calipers which are slot cheaper than these.... But more effort to measure

If you’re looking to lose weight then they give you a log of how much your losing and if your bf% is reducing regardless of it being accurate. Theyre not massively off either

Great Find! Doubt there will be many in stores. Haven't seen these in my local ones. These are 8.99 online

I've heard these are really inaccurate?

Brilliant bargain and 3 years warranty !

I believe the Xiaomi app is bad and asks for lot's of permissions you wouldn't expect for a set of scales

Yeah not sure why this is cold as it's clearly the cheapest place to buy them! Having said that I'd probably just go for the Xiaomi scales, which are a fair bit cheaper still and great quality.

Ok obviously a crap price then, lol

I got a juggy type one from a poundsaver type store for about a fiver (I know paid £4 too much, think they saw me coming lol). The battery run out fast, and it turned into a bas*#rd to try and replace the battery....and so its now rotting away in the elephants graveyard of old dodgy (though seemed like a good idea at the time) kitchen utensils that every home has in the deppest darkest corner of the kitchem or utility room (if you're semi posh)....or the maids quarters (if your old-monied) :{

flat digital scales that you can weigh any bowl/jug/jar on are better.

That's when I got mine too.

They will also break after a couple of years as the glue that holds a bracket on the side of the silver dish will fail. Good idea but poorly executed... (I had one which now binned

these are fantastic for weighing letters and small parcels had mine for five years. Other half borrowed it in the kitchen and stacked pans on it in the cupboard and broke it.

So you're saying this is a great price then?

Just quoting the price difference on what is essentially the same product (plus the crappy battery life when it hasn't been used!)

And the relevance of that is? :/

I have a "calibrated" one of these given free by a scientific supplies company about 18 months ago (supposedly £45+ VAT). Never been used (and, having just checked, it or the battery is dead)

The spoon part can measure 3 level tablespoons, or 45 grams, so a heaped spoon of ingredients would probably be about 60 or 70 grams, just a guesstimate.

Cannot get it to work with my iPhone but works superbly with my android phone; time to hit the gym.

Wife Noticed me standing on the scales, sucking in my stomach. “Ha! Thats not going to help!” She said. “Sure it does.” I said. “Its the only way i can see the numbers.

I get a similair problem with mine, feather it to put the scales on zero, carefully stand on it and it keeps saying "one at a time please" on the LED display (shock)

anybody able to say if these are any good??

Picked this up for £7 from Amazon a few months ago. It's great but suddenly stopped working a couple of weeks ago.

I find it annoying that there are buttons on the top, which are accidentally pressed or hard to press when you're shifting around something big to try and fit it on and be able to read the display as well, the buttons on the top are mechanical ones with a gap around the edge to the insides so you have to be careful with food or when cleaning it, it uses a CR2032 battery which is so inconvenient compared with other batteries you can likely pull out of a drawer at a moments notice not to mention a continuous expense since there's no rechargable option, the LCD has no protection so you have to be careful putting anything hot on it or you'll damage the display. It's a shame the related black ACCUWEIGHT ones seem to be a little on the cheap side as it doesn't have any of these problems and seems to have been well thought out, unlike the Salter one. None of those points as disastrous but it annoys me that something so simple can have so many flaws and I'd risk my money trying that one instead if buying again. A 15 year warranty is all very well, but for what the postage costs plus the batteries over time you may as well have just bought a new one.

Had some of theese for 8 years now and still going strong

Well, these have lasted a whole year with my daughter at university as they have been brought home never having been out of the box (when they we deemed as "essential").

Ours lasted for ages - until water was poured on them.

Does anyone own these - been tempted a few times but always put off by the hundreds of negative reviews.

Hoping this comes down to £80 again during Black Friday like it did during Prime Day. Missed it then.

£95 just to weigh yourself as all the other features will be highly inaccurate. Cold from me

Great scales. Frighteningly accurate and work so well with the Garmin ecosystem.

I have got these and they are really accurate but the WiFi connection is terrible and the Garmin forums have been full of complaints for ages with nothing done about it. I couldn't get them to sync at all on my old bt smart hub so had to buy a cheap older style WiFi cable router to plug into it and run the scales from there. It now syncs most of the time for me but not for my wife for some reason. They are working better since we switched to now TV broadband. It does look like Garmin might be finally about to try and fix the problems as they are finally responding on the forums about the issues and gathering info. Fingers crossed.
