Scott Scale 970 Mountain Bike £575 @ ebay / evanscyclesuk
Found 25th MarFound 25th Mar
Have been looking for a well equiped 29" MTB to suit a 6FT rider for a long time, finally a deal!
Get dealGet deal

I just received my bike and I can guarantee you all that it's definitely big enough for a 6ft rider! I even need to cut a little off the bottom of the seat post as it's too high in its lowest setting. Lovely bike, about 150x brighter than the photos - neon orange.

Yes. That's my opinion. It's not great value and I've given my reasons. If you disagree at least say why. If something more expensive is better value I'd normally go for that. Buying on value rather than rigid budget makes sense if you can do it. If I find something I'll post a deal.

Not good value so get something that costs more? At least find an alternative for the same price :|

I live my 29’er but Scott scales are more a race oriented frame, so tend to have a lower stem. This can of course to be adjusted but try one before you buy like all bikes.

I don't think size L would be best fit for riders 6ft tall tbh. Not that good a value overall. Coil fork? Better spend more and get something decent.

I know that my Withings (which became part of Nokia) scales will feed my weight data to Google Fit.

That is cool 8)

I can see from the description and reviews that these use data from the Apple Health App to fill in blanks in the Nokia app(steps etc), but does it feed information back the other way? Inputting weigh-ins in to the Apple Health App? Any info from users or those ITK would be most appreciated. IGNORE Found the info Here

Careful with these. The littlest of water will kill them. I'd suggest keeping them away from the bath/shower/sink or out of the bathroom completely. Fab scales otherwise

ever find that no 2 sets of digital scales give you the same figure i have bought 3 sets so far and all have me at different weights at the same time of measuring think i might eventually go back to the analogue ones lol hey but what a deal for a £1 how much was the other stuff you bought in the pictures ?

No, you kind of need to know what you're looking for, try and memorise what you see in the pictures and have a look when in the store. Here's the bar code numbers of the both sets of scales, I'll take pictures of the others and upload them later.

were they marked at this price on the shelves

Gutted! I really need more of these (lol)

Why is this deal in the 'gaming' thread, OP? Surely you can't think of ironing as.... a game! (shock)

Make sure it's covered in lots of bubble wrap - you may need it if it's hurled back at you!!!

Thanks, gonna wrap it up as a present for our lass, i'm sure she will love it. (angel) :D 8)

Garmin Index Smart Scale £84.99 @ Amazon

Best price I have seen this at for some time RRP £149.99

Quick report after 3 weeks of ownership - couldn’t be happier with them. Much quicker, more reliable and more data than the Fitbit scales. Easier to set up and never drop connection or lose data. Spot on. Also loving all the extra data in Garmin Connect and the Garmin app. People who voted this cold are mad. These never seem to drop in price like this. And unlike the Fitbit ones there are hardly any second hand ones about because they’re good.

Mine turned up today and I love it. A lot quicker and easier to set up than the Fitbit scales. Seems more accurate too. And of course provides more data as Garmin often does. Another smart feature is that when I weighed myself and then synced my watch, my watch knew my weight. Means more accurate stats for fitness tracking. Thanks again OP.

Heat added. Cannot believe people have voted cold on this. I’ve yet to see these drop below £100, even on eBay. They’ve held their price for a long time. I have the Fitbit scales but I moved over from Fitbit to Garmin a couple of years back as did my partner. It’s a pain having everything synced via the app / website except our weight / body metrics. You’re never going to find perfect body metrics at home unless you’re willing to buy proper pro kit, but as a guide to how you’re doing these are spot on. They show when you’re making good progress / gains and if you need to make changes to your current routine. As a Fenix 5X owner, cadence sensor, speed sensor and footpod owner these are spot on for me. But I fit the Garmin user profile. I guess if you own Fitbit or similar they’re not much use.

Negatively, if I'm on a market after Hue ones and they are on a good price. :) (even if Xiaomi or Trafidri are cheaper)

Yes Nokia ones, more features too.

Got these the last time they were a tenner. excellent for the price!

Had this setup in 3 camels, got an alert before it was posted here :) The other salter scales look like junk, this one with the 2 part base seems decent. Will see...

I've had this set of scales for about 4 years, I only recently(ish) had to change the battery and they're spot on, I'd definitely recommend them

IMO worth finding one that takes normal batteries so you have a chance of finding replacements when it dies halfway through making a cake. Good deal if you are organised enough to keep spares I guess.

I've gave this a try today and considering it's only a beta I think it's great fun! Everyone I've matched with has been decent and I like the concept....looking forward to the full release!

No problem. You can play without a mic - I don't have one and still got in a game. But since teamwork with your crew is really important it's not going to be easy - my crew kept on begging me to get my mic connected but I couldn't.

Stuck already! How do you exit the full map screen? Doing my nut in. edit: looks like the back button isn't working.

I give up waiting for dispatch, all you guys claiming your rubber feet are missing and getting replacements are to blame!

This is now £12.99 As previously stated, I believe it's much better than the one posted (which was never realistically £29.99.. yes for a few days it's only just been listed on Amazon, but I've seen it in supermarkets for a £10). Glass surface with no nooks and crannies to trap dirt (unlike the one in this post). Easy to clean. Can take oversized items. Good clear display. Very accurate - even if you don’t centre the thing being weighed. Looks great. Takes 2x AAA. Rubber feet. Nothing against the OP, just sharing...

OMG, we may be related.

Get this one it’s brilliant. Tempered glass surface with no nooks and crannies to trap dirt. Easy to clean. Can take oversized items. Good clear display. Very accurate - even if you don’t centre the thing being weighed. Looks great. Takes 2x AAA. Rubber feet. I paid £9.99 in Sainsbury’s. I would spend the extra fiver over the one in this deal if it can’t be found cheaper.

Mine just got delivered. The batteries were taped on the cardboard around the scales, but the scale is missing one of the rubber feet so going to have to get a replacement. Look pretty good though.
