I think you're safer with gift cards and then buying the game from your console, because Microsoft enable you to do so, but I avoid buying full game codes now as I suspect Microsoft will be looking at the original buyers in whatever poorer country, buying hundreds of games to gift on to richer countries would raise suspicion
I think I'll give these region hacks a miss after reading https://www.avforums.com/threads/buying-games-from-foreign-regions-please-read-the-faq-in-the-first-post.1846057/post-29161143
You don’t need a VPN on when using CDKets etc but it seems they have blocked PayPal whilst they fix a currency mismatch. RE redeeming codes on MS store some people find they need the VPN and some don’t.
Is it absolutely necessary to use a vpn to redeem a br gift card to buy Comprar Microsoft Flight Simulator: Standard - Microsoft Store pt-BR R$199.96. I'd rather not log in with a dubious vpn. What's the benefit of buying from mtc (not a great reputation) or eneba when they add fees when you buy with paypal. Shame about cdkeys not allowing paypal purchases of brl gift cards. edit: Getting "no payment method available" and address confirmation with cdkeys. Surely putting in a fake address here would trigger an issue with payment.
What’s the cheapest way of getting it off MTC? Can you mess about with payment options and currency to get it cheaper?
Yeah having read up on it, quite a few people had commented on it being a bit empty and worse of all was actually pretty damn broken at launch (according to the developers many players putting in a couple of hours and then calling it a day!). That said my friend who played it recently on PS4 can't get enough of it. I took the pee out of him at first for his dire choice but then last week decided to dig a little deeper and found this https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/how-generation-zero-was-fixed in which they go over all the improvements and (and this was a big plus for me) mention that it's by the same guys that did Thehunter: call of the wild. I'd had a quick play of that a couple of weeks ago (due to it being an Xbox rewards quest) and was really surprised at how much I enjoyed the creep around game play (and the enviroment was v nice) and found myself thinking what a great setting it'd make for some sort of a slower paced / not too busy FPS. sounds like the game I fancied was out there all along and has now been polished up nicely to the point where steam reviews have gone from "mixed" to "very positive" so it download this weekend it is :)
Good to know thanks, I’ll try trial and older and see how they are. Only just got an Xbox so working out what to get when etc. Cheers
FIFA 20 was apparently added to EA Play during May of last year so possibly the same again this year with 21
No worries yeah was just about to say I couldn’t see it...
Sorry ignore what I just said (embarrassed) I don't really play FIFA games so think I was getting mixed up with 20

rose tinted glasses? yakuza series is far better right?
Unfortunately lots of such projects via Kickstarter a few years ago. No longer happens so much though, mostly because people learned their lesson. I have a bit more insight than average being a game developer myself, but I've been caught off guard by some projects too. That said, the only one I've backed was Yooka Laylee and I was happy enough with how it came out. Not amazing, but decent. But yeah for Shenmue 3, it did look fishy to me from the get go. They only had one scene, no gameplay at all, they were basically selling a dream, that's it, and they seemed quite sneaky in their wording about progress etc, was very wary of that project. Shame because I do love Shenmue. I remember reading all the previews back in the day on magazines, was blown away by the production values at the time (most expensive game of all time).
Yeah, I fell for it. I look back on the Dreamcast days very fondly but I think it's best looked at rather than living it these days. Lesson is learnt.
To be honest everyone should have seen that coming. That project looked very dodgy from the get go, really lacked any ambition. A very clear case of a nostalgia driven cash grab.
Always found this interesting so reposting it here from Wikipedia. Shenmue sold 1.2 million copies and became the Dreamcast's fourth-bestselling game. However, its sales did not outweigh its development cost and analysts consider it a major commercial failure. It followed years of declining profits for Sega and contributed to their exit from the video game console market. According to GamesRadar, every Dreamcast owner would have needed to buy Shenmue twice for it to turn a profit. Not only did it cement the Dreamcast's reputation but it also helped kill it.
Japanese voices in shenmue 1 is glorious and most welcome! (I still swap to English voices for nostalgia though)
Same <3 atmosphere was amazing. 2 is very close though!
Very good price that, not used instant gaming in a good while so didnt even think to look!
1 for me. 🥋

I tried to buy Shenmue on the Sega Dreamcast quite a few years ago but it was always sold out, but now I can buy it for the PS4 I don't know if I'm interested as I've got such a massive backlog of games to play now (lol)
Someone sell this game to me.. Its greatness in a nutshell review? (y)
