Nice.

powerbrick

Was nothing wrong the old one as took the dog a walk round it and could still see the inside was still all intact, dunno why it shut :/ Have found memories or Rhyl as a nipper. Aunt and Uncle had Caravan on Lyons and used to go to 'The Point' in the evening, but thats gone too :(

satstuart

Lol yeah it's an indoor pool and tbh it looks like the old sun centre.

poisondwarf

Hopefully indoor! Will it be along the lines of the Sandcastle in Blackpool?

satstuart

There is a new water park being built now on Rhyl Promenade and it should be finished next year.

The reason this is not as hot as the Clacton Airshow is it costs more to post to NI FACT!

How much is the usual entrance fee to air shows. I assume they charge you for looking in the sky seeing as this is FREE entry.

Go for the Airshow, Stay for the Crash. If I've learned anything from the interwebs It's that there's always a crash at an airshow

squiby

Is there a bus to the seafront? Otherwise it’s a bit of a walk from the airfield

ashman33

I’m sure I’ve just seen one of the planes (Typoons fly overhead (Kent).

Went to Bournemouth 2 years ago, weather was glorious. beach was packed. Wasn't on in Bournemouth last year so went to Weston super mare instead and weather was glorious, not as busy, flat all over nice beach, shops etc, stayed for 4 days. Going to Bournemouth again this year, on from 30th Aug to 2nd Sept, staying 4 nights, booked as soon as the dates were released , got parking too,as accommodation now is ridiculous prices. Not my favourite thing to do but hubby is keen and as long as the weather is dry it is a good long weekend away. Our local airport charges £25 a person to get in for one day. Booked a brewery tour while there, local brewery, just looking for other stuff, cheap meals etc.

What can this do, that a tablet cannot ?

jouster

no...and to be fair it would be good but its no better than on a tablet really... Youtube would be great for receipes in the kitchen though I guess I dont see it ever see Youtube coming to the Echo devices whist the rivalry with Google is so hot

RedRain

Youtube working on this yet

jouster

agree but its good for camera viewing especially if you have kids

chrisredmayne

I don't get the point in this unless they get YouTube back... It's too small for proper TV shows.

Don't get your hopes up, they've forecast thunder storms so it'll probably be cancelled. Should've gone yesterday when it was sunny but the Red Arrows weren't on then.

dwain

I thought Northern were running a bus replacement service from Preston to Blackpool, they always seem to be when I get a train from Preston......to Scotland, as I have said before "It's only when I get to Blackpool that I remember why I never go to Blackpool" On a different note, I saw the Hurricane and Spitfire fly over on their way to the airshow yesterday, the sound of the engines was magical!

nutz30

Set off early. Went last year and traffic in and out was manic! Great show though!

They are asking for details of the person that you will be bringing with you, that is not covered by the exclusion clause that asks whether they can contact you/use your details, you have given them SOMEONE ELSE'S details and they can do what they want with that unfortunately

awesomegiles26

If you in tick the boxes for them to contact you in the future then you should be fine. Or use an email address that isn’t your personal one and you can guarantee to not see junk mail

Purplesagerider

BEWARE This is an information gathering exercise to get information that the exhibition organisers otherwise would not have had access to, that is the name, e-mail address, telephone number and mobile number as well as the physical address of the second ticket holder that you will be bringing with you as you have to enter the details of the person that you will be bringing with you even though they may not want those particular detailes revealed. Very clever, however this is not two free tickets for one person to use as they will, it is an information gathering execise for future mailing list sales for the SECOND person that you will be bringing with you.

patrick_000

Lambeth are in the middle of getting rid of anything that costs them money. They’ve closed many of the local libraries and local services. Fees for various services are shooting up. I agree that entry fees are probable within a year or two - once they realise that the overpriced bars aren’t going to generate the profit they wanted.
